The gyro sandwich was only okay. The thing that got me was the seasoning of the meat. It wasn't the typical taste of gyro meat that I love. Because of this, I wouldn't come back. With all the other places surrounding this place you wouldn't expect much at first glance. The inside is small and assuming but then you order and get the food. I've been here twice and have been so satisfied both times. This second time I went in, they were super busy with orders but was still addressed and got my food ordered pretty quickly. I was very impressed with that, and I know what it's like to be in that position. They have a decent amount of food options and I just know they're all good. It was both NCAA and a kraken game, so many restaurants were extremely crowded, but luckily the Golden Olive had plenty of seats on a Monday evening for dinner! We placed our orders with a cashier, and in under 10 minutes our food was out! My Chicken Shawarma Sandwich was great, chicken was well marinated and cooked, and the garlic sauce (I think?) was quite flavorful! It was plenty of food for me and I ended up not being able to finish the side salad. Our favorite things are: classic gyros; chicken gyro platter; falafel platter; chicken shawarma sandwich; shawarma plate; dolmas. The rice is excellent, too. Don't snooze on the sauces! The big portions of hummus, pita, tzatziki and white garlic sauce are all amazing. I always order enough to have leftovers because they're so good. Portions were good for the price and the 3 items fed me for 2 full meals. Chicken was flavorful but a little bit on the dry side, and I wish the salad was a bit bigger to provide more veggies. Falafel was crisp and not overly dense which I appreciated, though I've definitely had better. The tahini was extremely watery which was unpleasant so I ate mine with the tzatziki instead. Although the fries weren't really crispy, the Greek fries were great and who can go wrong with fries, garlic sauce, and cheese! Things were doing so well at first, kind of. Let's just say the food tastes great and the prices are on par with other quick Indian joints. It's fairly clean and inviting inside. First, when I opened the box I noticed well prepared food, but in my lamb was small buts of something else. This didn't bother me, but I'm not used to seeing this happen. I guess the thing that bothers me is part way through eating I noticed a few very small bits of hard stuff. Not too large or hard to be too concerned. Well after about 2 more bites after noticing the hard stuff I got a slightly larger piece so I spit it out. Well, the hard stuff turned out to be green plastic in my rice. This is my go-to spot for all things kabob, sharma and gyro's. I've been coming here regularly for the past 2 years (only been in Seattle that long). I've liked just about everything here. Gyro - super packed full of yumminess and great flavor all around. Kabob entree - my favorite is the chicken though the other ones are good too. I find that the chicken is really moist and flavorful and love the whole package. Lentil Soup - yummy! Fries - great side. The prices and portions are great as well. This was my first time ordering delivery through grubhub and I was pleased with the service except for the $30 in extra fees. The whole order was correct even with the changes we made in the comment boxes. The food on the other hand wasn't as great. Sadly, I feel obligated to compare this restaurant to other Greek places and it just doesn't compare. The flavors weren't doing it for me. Everything needed more spice, but I did like that the food was still warm when we got it. Also, the size of the meal was pretty big, I just wish we got more pita bread. I got the beef shawarma plate, the wife got the gyro plate, and we shared an order of Greek fries. My shawarma plate was awesome. I loved everything about it. My wife thought her plate was good but not great. I tried her meat and thought my plate was a lot better :) She also noted that her salad dressing was kind of bland. Lastly, the fries were delicious. Everyone should try those. The funny thing is that I wanted to give this place 4.5 stars... which is exactly their current average rating. My go to order is the chicken gyro salad which I highly recommend. I get the dressing on the side so you can control how much you want. It's a Greek ranch type of dressing and it's delicious. My falafel sandwich was delicious and the falafels packed a serious flavor punch. My partner love his chicken gyro, proclaiming the same punch of flavor and good sauce. The star of the show though, I mean, move the spotlight over, I'm the star, were the Greek fries. OMG, I could not wrap my head around this flavor party.
