When my family have met Dr Bauer at first my son did not have any teeth at all. Since now he has almost all his permanent teeth came out you can guesstimate for how many years our family clients in this office ;-) At first we needed quite a bit of dental work to be done (we have relocated from overseas and I definitely cannot give my previous dentist such a great review!) deep cleaning, crown replacement, multiple fillings, but now we meet for check ups and cleanings only. If you go here, hold them accountable for how they treat you. One of the dental technicians stopped in the middle of my cleaning to tell me we were not a good fit. I was a ball of nerves because this was my first cleaning in years, I thought everything was fine and I was trying to push through my discomfort . I remember I had my firsts clenched and I did squirm and made an audible tic ( I have Tourette's and told the office before and on my first visit). I remember the technician sounded annoyed as she stopped and sat my chair up. She wanted me to end the appointment and come back another time because she thought I was in too much pain but when I said I couldn't afford that she said " I'm really empathetic but this is not a good fit" (LITERALLY WHAT SHE SAID TO ME). When my face reacted poorly (because she was incredibly and so randomly rude) she became even more vile by rolling her eyes at me and had to leave and ask for Linh to come in. She returns, begrudgingly and says " Alight well, lets try again..". She must have been annoyed with me before I was aware or maybe she projected my Tourette's into me being a difficult patient, either way at this point I'm so over this woman scoffing at me. Linh Bauer comes in after a few minutes and asks if I feel okay and I was so thrown off by the technicians ( Nassim) vibe I said something like " She's making me feel uncomfortable and Nassim immediately sighs and says " SEE!". Linh Bauer had to finish the appointment and it wasn't until I reminded her of my Tourette's Disorder that she started to apologize for Nassim's behavior. Her main explanation was that she has worked with this person for 6 years, and that was it. After speaking with family, friends, and other dental offices I realized this experience was not at all my fault, and that 1. Nassim, for whatever reason, decided I was not worth the trouble and did not deserve the best quality of care, and 2. Linh Bauer defended this behavior blindly. 3. I tried reaching out to Linh and she ignored my first email for 3 months, after calling the office she did reply with " I'm sorry you feel that way" and here we are. Nassim and Linh, if you're reading this know that this is not an exaggeration and this my truth, my perspective, and I challenge you both to do better. Prove me wrong and never treat a patient ( especially those confiding their disabilities with you) like a nuisance, ever again. read more

I had a fantastic experience with Dr Linh Bauer months ago. She was stellar. I had a tooth problem and after reading her reviews at Yelp, I decided to go to her. I explained my situation and she fixed the problem. No upsell, no fuss. She was also kind and talked about her upcomming family vacation. Her staff also reflects her quality. In contrast to my last dentist in Milpitas, he was a nightmare. He used my chest as a tool tray while drilling on my tooth and chanted "what a mess". I did not understand if he meant my tooth was a mess, or he was making a mess of my tooth. Then half way through, he stopped his work and gave me the upsell, knowing that my insurance would pay for it. Come to think of it, I think I had to write him a check too. I let him finish but I never went back to him. I would go to Linh Bauer again. read more

Linh Bauer and her team make a fantastic dental office! I am a previous patient of theirs. Unfortunately I was forced to move to a different dentist due to a change in insurance policy, but I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Bauer's practice and staff, hence, I had to write them a review! Her hygenists are great. They are gentle, they take their time, and they have these amazing neck pillows that put you in dental comfort heaven. Never in my life have I (willingly) fallen asleep in a dental chair until I went to Dr. Bauer. When I had to switch offices, they were still super nice to me and had no problem sending my patient info and xrays to the new office. My new dentist in SJ and I couldn't be more pleased. Although it's hard to get an appointment relatively quickly, when I did finally go it was a very pleasant experience. I have been going to Dr Bauer for over 2 years. I switched to her because the dentist I was going to was always trying to get me to have addition dental work done. Over the last 2 years, I have gained a lot of respect for her professional opinion. If there is procedure she think would help me, she gives me the pros and cons of it with no sale pitch. Can we all agree that finding a good hair stylist, a doctor, and especially, a dentist is aggravating to find? Yelp helped me find the way. Dr Bauer is absolutely amazing...Her office is paperless which means: a) environmentally friendly b) easy access to files c) instant gratification to files and x-rays. Linh has been my dentist for ovet 10 years. She is hands down the best. If there is one thing that I can't stand to do, it would be going to a dental appointment. It is mainly due to a traumatizing experience with a horrible dentist in the past, which resulted in spontaneous oral spasms and a locked jaw. The thought of having to go back for deep cleaning mortified me, so I delayed my check-up for several years. Unfortunately it is now way overdue for a visit, so I had to go and search for a new dentist. I am thankful that the search I conducted on my dental insurance site led me to Dr. Bauer's practice. My first visit to her office was very welcoming thanks to her courteous and kind staff. Dr. Bauer herself was very friendly, knowledgeable, insightful, and assuring. If I was able to remain at ease while knowing that drilling and numbing would be involved, that is saying something. Most of the time I feel like medical providers tend to prescribe treatment plans that sound pretty unnecessary. For my case, I needed quite a few things to be done, but Dr. Bauer would make sure to clearly explain why they were necessary before proceeding with the next appointment. I have been going to Dr. Bauer for 2 years, and I can't imagine a better dentist's office! I was in need of having some of my crowns replaced, and from my first visit, I knew I'd made the right choice. Linh Bauer is fabulous. My kids and I go to her-she is professional, friendly and great with kids. Her office is cute, a converted house on Hamilton Ave. She is very knowledgeable and her staff is efficient. They are tech-savvy and I like that I can book my next appt. at the end of each cleaning.-6 months out. Then they email me appointment reminders. Sounds basic, but my former dentist only sent out a post-card reminder to book my appt. which I would lose, and then months would pass before I actually would call. So I wouldn't get my teeth cleaned twice a year-it would be more like a cleaning every 9 months. Dr. Bauer is friendly, easy to talk to and knows her stuff. I am so glad I found her. read more

The office itself is welcoming, clean, and calming (though easy to drive by so keep your eyes peeled for the little house it's located in). Dr. Bauer herself is fantastic. She's got a great chair-side manner: friendly, calm, and she takes the time to explain what she sees and what she's doing. She even found a cavity that my previous dentist (of 20 years!) didn't see or ignored...and thank goodness she did, because it could have gone sideways into root-canal land pretty quick.
