I never like to give bad reviews, but this was the highest level of disrespect they gave me. I came here for them to sew two areas on my daughter's competition costume. That was the only part we talked about. Alterations where $10 but I thought that was low and gave her $30.00 and told her she can keep the rest. When I went to pick up the costume they had removed high quality stones that are on her costume. I went back to see why the removed them and if I can have them back (mind you this was a $300 costume). She said she threw them away because she didn't know that I wanted them (we never talked about removing anything off the costume). She then comes back with confetti like pieces saying that we can add these and I looked at her and said tee can't change the look to the costume since there are 10 girls having to wear the same one. This lady starts yelling at me in front of the owner and saying I can get these high quality stones at Michaels. I never once raised my voice at her. The owner then jumps in and says to his seamstress to calm down and I am left with no fix to my daughters costume. I have never been disrespected to this extent even when I stayed calm and tried to fix the situation. If you want things fixed here be prepared if they do something incorrectly they will yell at you and throw in your face that they did it for you for only $10.00. I have came here and told people to go there and now I hope they do not treat them how they treated me. This is not a way to run a business by yelling at someone who only tried to find a fix. read more

I had 3 blazers hemmed. They were done pretty quickly. I didn't get to try them on in-store. When I got home, they seem fine until I realized they didn't keep the cuffs to how it originally was. They didn't keep the buttons on nor the flap on it. I paid $25 a piece for it. What the?! I went to my go-to alterations Phuong's over by Target on Eastern. Complained about what Linh did to my blazers they said they never do that because of 100% LAZINESS!!!! Never again!!! I should've never tried this place out. Pure disappointment!!!! I came here because I saw the reviews were good. I brought in a handful of dresses, blazers, and shirts that needed to be dry cleaned and a few needed alterations. I paid for rush fees because i needed a certain dress for an event later that week. I picked up the dress in a rush, took it home to put it on, AND IT WAS DIRTY. The dress wasn't dirty when i dropped it off, i just wanted it to be dry cleaned so it would look crisp and feel nicer. It literally had a huge dirty water stain on the front of it. I obviously couldn't take it back right away because I needed to get ready to leave for my event. Luckily I had another dress, but I was still livid that I paid over $200 for a dirty dress. That's not the end of it! The next day to go to work, I wanted to wear one of the dry cleaned shirts. Guess what? It had dirty water stains on it! I have never in my life experience such awful dry cleaning. I guess I should have checked my clothes before leaving. Regardless, you expect your clothes to be clean when you leave a dry cleaner... Not only did they screw up my clothes, but my husband paid for alterations to his blazer that did not happen. We took the clothes home in a hurry and did not try it on. He put it on and it looked the same. Nothing was taken in or hemmed like they said they would do. This place is a disaster and is extremely over priced. You can get better/cleaner clothes at any $1.99 dry cleaner. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. read more

I had my wedding dress altered at Linhs. They seemed to be pretty reasonable compared to other shops I called around town. My fitting was quick and they quoted my price before pinning the dress. Unpaid $180 to have the bodice taken in, bead work moved, and a bustle added. The dress was done when promised. My only complaints are that perhaps they could have made a few more adjustments to ensure I wouldn't have any issues. I had to have my maid of honor safety pin the dress to my corsette because it kept slipping down and leaving my bra fully showing in the back. Also, they did a very simple bustle with only one hook. It seemed great at first because it was quick and easy but it kept coming undone leaving my dress too long to dance in. read more

I took my bridesmaids dress in to get hemmed up. It needed about 5 inches removed and was a single layer dress. They did a great job with the hemming of the dress, but I knocked down a star for the price. They charged me $75 just to hem the dress, so the alterations here cost me almost as much as the dress. I usually go to another shop who have clear prices and only charges $45 to hem a dress. Wish they would've been a bit more transparent about the pricing, I felt like I overpaid but I needed it done quick and they did the job. read more

Honestly I will start off by saying the ladies who work here are pretty nice but this place is way too expensive. They charged me $115 to alter two dresses which mind you were not wedding dresses just normal dresses once I returned to pick up one of the dresses it was still too big at the waist. They also agreed it was still really big so they re-measured it and informed me I could pay another $20 on top of the 115 to have the dress properly altered how I had originally wanted it the first time I was in. So the price broken down that would've been $80 just to alter one dress. I don't even think the dress cost $80. I told them no and left with my dress that still does not fit me. I needed alterations done on 24 suit jackets and 10 pairs of pants immediately. I arrived on a Saturday evening and requested five of the suits be completed by Monday. To my surprise, Linh's completed the five suit jackets and all 10 pairs of pants by Monday. The other 14 jackets were available for pick up on Saturday. The ladies were very accommodating. COME HERE AT YOUR DISCRETION! I happened to be in the Las Vegas area during a long weekend and thought It'd be the perfect opportunity to get some designer jeans that I recently purchased hemmed in length. After doing some research, I decided to try Lien's based off of the positive reviews and the cheaper prices. I brought in my one pair of jeans on a Friday morning right when they opened. After getting my pants measured, I explained to the guy helping me that I wanted the original hem done and asked if it was possible to get it done sooner since I didn't live in the area; they promised 4pm on Saturday. My quote was $13, which I thought was pretty good for original hemming around this area. I tried calling early Saturday afternoon around 1pm to see if the jeans were ready, but unfortunately they needed the additional 3 hours to get them done. I ended up picking up my jeans Monday morning. I tried on my jeans to make sure the length was correct and they were. Although I'm no connoisseur when it comes to alterations nor can I sew, I decided to do a quick scan of the work done my jeans. I was crossing my fingers that what my eyes were telling me wasn't true, but it was apparent that the thread color of the hemming (black) did match the original thread color (dark blue) on my dark jeans. After looking further into the work, I realized that the hemming done was not original and that the pant ends were cut. My poor designer jean bottoms had been cut! Then I later looked at the actual hemming and it looked like a novice did the work: the stitching was not straight! After spotting these deficiencies I explained my unhappiness with the work done on my jeans. As the guy that was helping me and the other girl there conversed about my complaint, I can't believe the guy's response was (the lady translated what the guy was saying back to me) that when you wash your jeans it'll dye the thread to the other color. What kinda bogus shizz response is that?! I mean, at least admit you're store did wrong and that it wasn't done to the customer's request rather than try to defend your subpar work! I explained again that I live out of the area and don't have the time to let them fix their mistakes. I suggested that there was no way I should be paying the $13 and suggested $6 (since that's what was advertised on the outside door for hemming); I somewhat regret paying even that given the crappy work. It didn't seem like they liked my response, but I couldn't see how they could defend their work. This is the first time I got my clothes altered in Las Vegas and I'm very please with this first experience. I initially picked this place because the reviews were great and it's 5 mins from my home. I brought in a high-low gown that needed to be hemmed. It wasn't the easiest hem because it's a high low, the original stitching and the quality of my dress. All three factors played a role in the reason behind the price, which they explained to me. It cost $50, which I was completely fine with paying considering I went in with the mindset that I'd be paying $75-$85. I brought it in exactly 1 week before I needed it. I called the day before pick up to make sure that there weren't any hold ups and that I'd be able to pick it up the next day, they assured me it would be ready. Later on that evening, I received a call from them stating that I could pick up my dress! How awesome is that!! Safe to say. I DEFINITELY will be bringing more items to be altered here! (Especially since I'm under 5ft. and all my pants need to be hemmed) read more

I felt the need to write an update after consistently taking pieces to Linh's for alterations for the past 6 months - nothing has changed, they are excellent! In fact, my Dad who was recently visiting from Hawai'i came with me to get his pants fixed here. They were kind enough to fix his pants for him on the spot because he was visiting. Linh's has fallen and they have fallen fast. I hate to change my reviews, but since 2011 a few things have occurred. The last time I dropped a dress off to be hemmed, the price was still reasonable $15 for a one layer dress. The big BUT is that they stained my dress with some sort of oil splatter on the front. My guess is sewing machine oil. When I pointed it out, they were like oh it will come out when you wash it. No apology, just that it would wash out. I was livid...they did offer to dry clean it since they have dry cleaner services there after they saw how angry I was. But I needed the dress for that day....so that wasn't going to work. The dress has been dry cleaned and the stain is still there, so in other words they ruined my dress =(. As I was discussing the stain with the ladies working there, I noticed one of the seamstresses working on a dress chowing down on a big ice cream cone.....I can already picture another stain forming on another dress. I vowed not to come back because I was so angry....but cheap prices generally make me more forgiving, especially since it wasn't their craftsmanship I had a problem with. Fast forward to this past weekend, I needed a 3 layered dress hemmed. I decided to get a quote from Linh's...$60 for the work. I then also got a quote from Phuong's who is literally down the street....half the cost. I think I've found a new alterations place to go to...I have yet to get the dress back from Phuong's, so that will be the determining factor. However, please be wary of Linh's. When Linh was actually still working there and doing all the work, there was some sense of pride for the work. Right now there are some random older Vietnamese ladies working there. Also, it really seems random the quotes they offer for the work....do yourself a favor and run down the street to get a comparison before going with Linh's. read more

I've had my alterations done here before and they did a great job however I just had my drycleaning done and that's a WHOLE other story. I just came to pick up my drycleaning and didn't bring my receipt. To be fair they didn't tell me to however I probably should have. They couldn't find my stuff and I tried to ask them how long it would be because I was late for a meeting. I wrote down my name and phone number for her as she asked and she kept asking me if "Rachel" was my first name. After clarifying multiple times another person who worked there joined to help find my belongings. I informed them several times it was 3 pants and 1 jacket. They said "we can't find it..are you sure no one else picked it up?" Finally one of the other girls located my items which were right where the one lady was looking. She went on to say "you said your name was Rachel but this is a different name." I look on the sheet and clear as day it said RACHEL. Because of this confusion I won't be back to this business. They did call me after to apologize which was nice but how that whole situation was handled left me very upset and unsettled. read more

People are always asking me where to get alterations (I'm kind of the suit guy) and I always say to go to Lihn. Always the cheapest, sometimes by half! Always great work too. I always go to Linh's for my alteration needs. It's been about 4-5 year and I'm always satisfied. The prices are very reasonable and they work with you to get everything just right. Measuring very precisely, very good meticulous work. Make sure you bring your clothing early enough to give them time to alter well. You can't expect them to turn over a huge project in a ridiculously short time and blame them for not getting it done. Be reasonable. They have altered many dresses for me: bridesmaids- made a strapless gown have a pretty boat cut tulle overlay, cocktail, and for my own wedding, they made me a custom jacket top to fit over my strapless gown. They told me amounts of fabric to purchase, I brought it to them, they made it. It was PERFECT. It didn't fit in my first fitting (due to me gaining weight) and they fixed it, no questions asked. Great alterations place! I was a bridesmaid in a wedding recently and like the good little procrastinator I am, needed to get the dress altered the week before the wedding. Based on the other Yelp reviews, I took my dress to this place. The place isn't fancy but it does the job and well. I need to shorten the hemline, take the straps in and decrease the width of the sash. I was a little nervous about the pricing but was very relieved when it came out to $32! $18 for the hemline, $8 for the straps and $6 for the sash!!! They did a GREAT job; the seam was flawless. The guy who measured me was a little older and couldn't speak English that well, but we were able to communicate with a little pointing here and there. I've been searching for an alterations place with hours that work with my busy schedule and was thrilled to find Linh's Fashion Alterations was no only just a mile or so away from me, but open until 7pm! After reading mostly glowing reviews, I headed over with a dress that I needed to be taken in. I must have drove past it twice, as It's a little tucked away in a small plaza, but once I went inside, was immediately greeted by Linh, and had my fitting , I was already looking forward to seeing the finished product. Both Linh and the lady who pinned my dress during the fitting knew exactly what I wanted even when I was unsure how it would be done given the dress has ruching along the sides. I arrived back a week later and was encouraged to try the dress on to see the results. It was perfect! All the same ruching now in a nice, form fitting silhouette.
