This restaurant and another one named Dok Khao are my two favorite spots for Thai food in the DMV thus far. We had their mixed vegetable pad and their country curry with crispy chicken. The country curry was by far my favorite thing and tasted very, very good. Nice and savory, well spiced, and had a ton of aromatics to brighten up the entire dish. There was also a lot of vegetable vegetables, mixed in to brighten up the entire dish. The curry reminded me of a good khao soi with a little more sweetness. Regardless, it was super super enjoyable. I also loved the pad as well; the sauce was thick and coated all the vegetables nicely with this light savory flavor; if I had to describe what it taste similar to most, it taste similar to those crispy noodles you get at Chinese restaurant coded with a little bit of thick gravy. This one was better though and again I love the vegetables that were served with it. The presentation was beautiful when it came out and the service we had was very good. We came here after a long day of work and were surprised at both the decorations, atmosphere, and service. We will definitely be back. read more

I am beyond disgusted by my experience. After I had already started eating my papaya salad, I discovered a dead ladybug mixed into the food. It was absolutely revolting and completely ruined my meal. There is no excuse for serving food in this condition. Proper washing and food preparation should prevent insects from ending up in a customer's meal. This raises serious concerns about the restaurant's food handling and quality control. I will never return, and I believe this incident warrants a review of the restaurant's food safety practices. Hidden gem with 4-10pm happy hour Monday-Thursday! Tasty food and friendly service. I appreciate that we weren't rushed arriving at 9pm, they just politely let us know that the kitchen would close soon and made sure to do a last call at each table. We did a takeout order here for dinner today, and the food was great. My only complaint was that the basil fried rice was not spicy at all! There was a jerk chicken-type dish which was fried and had gravy with it, and it was amazing. I do wish it was a bit spicier too. I was visit VA for the weekend, and this spot had been on my list for a while. The customer service was top tier and the food was good. I especially loved the crab rangoons! Linjee was a 10/10 experience! The service was amazing! We were greeted, seated and given water quickly. The menu had great variety and the dining area and bar were absolutely beautiful. You would never think of upscale it looked on the inside by judging the outside because it is located in a shopping center. The drinks were so well mixed and yummy. I only needed one so it was well worth what I paid. For an upcharge, they will service your drink with a sparkler. I didn't get one but my friend, who's was the birthday girl did. I definitely recommend the watermelon margarita. The food was brought to our table on a floral cage display. Mostly every appetizer I tasted was great: spring rolls, crab rangoons, and chicken satay skewers. The steamed dumplings were just ok. My entree was pad Thai with salmon and it was sooo good. Honestly I have never eaten food so poorly made. Pad Thai was dry as some the noodles were hardened and the chicken was dry and flavorless. I've never had it so yucky. Plus they didn't even use flat style noodles. The drunken noodles were also overcooked, flavorless and the 3 pieces of broccoli were mushy too. Yuk. The spring rolls were nothing special either, and weren't hot when I picked up the $90 order! I ordered ground chicken dish (forgot name) and there was lettuce pieces in it (not as a lining) and was sooo plain. No rice either. The neon signs, flowers, the bar looks big and opened, seating is comfortable, etc. the best part is that this place is in a shopping center so parking is right out front!!! lol. In the same shopping center is a Marshall's, Ross, Dollar Tree, etc. so don't go here for drinks and appetizers and spend your entire savings after like I did j/k. I ordered the dumplings, the beef and veggie stir fry, and an espresso martini. The food is right above average. It's not the best, but it's definitely not bad. Fried rice was very greasy. Chicken skewers were normal. Butterfly shrimps were overcooked. Thai tea was too sweet (more on the sugar side). Prices were high. The place's decor is in black and it felt disconnected. This place is more like an instagram post kind of place but nothing more than that. We found this restaurant on Instagram, and my friend and I decided to check it out. We went on a Tuesday night, so it wasn't crowded at all, which was a plus. We arrived about an hour after they opened, and the restaurant is spacious, so whether you're dining solo, with a small group, or looking to host a larger gathering, there's plenty of room. The decor is gorgeous, with plates, bowls, and gold cutlery that perfectly match the restaurant's aesthetic. The service was ok. Our server was kind of flat. As for the food, both dishes were flavorful, well-seasoned, and the portion sizes were just right. The crab rangoon appetizer was tasty, especially since it was my first time trying it. It was a bit on the mushy side as far as the middle contents , but that's just my personal preference when it comes to texture. The taste was still good. We were a little annoyed that they don't serve brown rice nor can you sub the white rice the dishes automatically come with for fried rice. So we had to order a side of fried rice. The mocktails were a highlight--definitely crafted with care. They present the food well, as you can see in the pictures. The bathroom was spotless, which is always a nice touch! Last Friday, I hosted a Cancer and friends party of 16 event at linjee Thai. I saw the restaurant on ig and I had to celebrate there. I booked on Resy but I had to call to increase my party size. The staff was very professional and very hospitable. When I arrived, the table was set and the server was very nice to us. The purple rain cocktail was beautiful. I ordered the drunken noodles at spicy and it was delicious. The staff at linjee were fun, took our photos, didn't rush us out , and had excellent customer service. The restaurant is in a busy strip mall in Alexandria but there is plenty of parking and right off the highway. I will definitely be back back ! My Thai loving friend invited me to dinner in order to catch up & try LINJEE. She shared the IG link which definitely piqued my interest. Its located in a busy strip mall with plenty of free parking. The restaurant was full early Sunday evening with couples & larger dinner parties. Fortunately we had a reservation and was quickly seated. Festive vibes! I noticed several places to get a noteworthy shot for IG. LINJEE has several interesting cocktails but we settled on the Lychee martini & Purple Rain Lemon Drop. It was a hard decision! We also ordered spring rolls & our entrees. We asked questions & the staff answered with a smile. I was a repeat customer here and picked up food at least once a month. Unfortunately I just had the worst customer service experience I've had in a very long time and am so disappointed in this place. I won't be coming back. I ordered pickup on a Sunday evening and made it clear to the gentleman who picked up the phone, that some of the dishes were vegetarian. I could tell he was not paying attention and asked him to repeat the order. Upon picking up the food, I luckily checked in the car and noticed they forgot to give me plain rice. So I went back in and the lady at the front graciously apologized and gave me the rice they forgot. Luckily I checked, no big deal. When I got home however, I noticed that the vegetarian dish was made with chicken. I was very disappointed and frustrated, especially since the restaurant had since closed for the evening by the time I got home. I called back and asked for a refund, as half my group was no longer able to eat dinner. Rather than apologizing, the gentleman asked me to return the food in order to get a refund. Ridiculous! I have never heard an establishment handle THEIR MISTAKE this way. Please keep in mind you are a business that makes a profit off our choice to come to your restaurant. Some basic customer service, an apology would have gone a long way. I will take my business elsewhere. Ruined not only my dinner but my mood as well. Disgraceful! read more

I got some food to go on a weeknight and it was ready really quick. The place looks nice inside too so I definitely wanna go again and dine in. The food I ordered was really good and I loved that the Pad Thai came with some chili powder and peanuts on the side. The pork was fatty and delicious. The curry came with a really big portion of chicken as well. I typically save leftovers for the next day but this was so good I finished the whole portion in one night (and it wasn't a small portion either). Was glad to see a new Thai spot open up near my house. This place is in a unassuming strip mall off 395 so its in a pretty convenient location. I've had take out here twice. The first time was shortly after they opened and the second time was months later. I will say the second time was much better. They seemed to have found their grove. I had the beef pad thai, chicken wings, larb gai, tom yum with shrimp, and veggie eggrolls. The paid thai was good, not too oily. The wings were really good. The larb was nice and citrusy/not overly spicy. The tom yum was super spicy. The veggie eggrolls were ok. Nice to see that they have been improving and hope they keep it up. read more
