All Rice Thai absolutely delivered. Every dish was vibrant, deeply flavorful, and beautifully balanced, with the kind of freshness and attention to detail that really stands out. The service was warm, polished, and genuinely hospitable, and the ambiance struck that sweet spot between cozy and elevated. This is the kind of place that makes you slow down, savor every bite, and start planning your next visit before you even leave.

This is a no frills thai restaurant. In the spring and summer, they open all the windows so it is a really nice open vibe. My favorites here are the all rice combo with fried chicken and garlic rice, penang curry and duck basil. The service is always quick, food is tasty and price is great!

Was in the area for an early Sunday hair appointment and stopped in just upon opening. A few patrons were already in and pursuing the This style weekend brunch options. I was immediately greeted upon entering and asked if I was dining in or doing takeout. Thai music playing in the background and brightly colored decorations and furniture made me smile. As I waited for my take-away a steady flow of patrons came in for their brunch spread. Must be a crowd favorite. For take-away I ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai Siam with extra sauce and I added red bell peppers and kale. I was not a fan of the flavor of the dish. The ingredients looked fresh but something was off about the flavor. I also ordered the mango sticky rice which was good. The rice texture was perfect but I'm wondering if the mangos are fresh or canned. They didn't have the texture of fresh mangos, the cubes were on the soft side. I also was not a fan of the take-way containers, too much plastic. Solid 3.5 stars. Although this seems like a popular spot I'll keep searching...

This place is a hidden gem!! I don't live up in NOVA but i will definitely go out the way to come here again. The inside is a vibrant, gorgeous vibe and the food was VERY flavorful and good. The servers were very attentive and flexible, nothing fell short.

My colleague and I were trying to figure out where to meet up and made choice to come here and glad we did! You are greeted when you come in, place was nice and bright, and our server was friendly, smiled and just awesome. The drinks were good and the food was tasty. I tried Tofu with my rice, but next time, it will be chicken or shrimp! Of course I had to take a box home! And my colleague ordered mango sticky rice to take home!! Good vibes and good food!!

The best mango sticky rice in the whole area . The cream sauce is textured and the mangos were fresh and cut in cubes. I order number 3 with fried chicken. It was crispy with no real seasoning itself but good portions. The rice was amazing and balanced the meal with the cucumbers.

    Crackin belly

To quote the great TheReportOfTheWeek " my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined". I was craving some Thai food and looking forward to this Crackin' belly and lo mein and damn this hurt. The pork belly was overcooked and the top and bottom of it had a rubbery texture. I took a knife and cut off the ends to avoid chewing rubber. The flavor wasn't too bad but I really wanted a sauce to tie this together. The crispy bits and chilis were really nice to eat though. The veggies tasted frozen and weren't cooked long enough. They were stale and cold and offered NOTHING to the dish. Finally I paid $2 to upgrade from rice to lo mein noodles. These were overcooked and bland and just stuck together, honestly AVOID at all cost. The only reason I have them a 2 star is because of their Khao soi. I'm so glad my husband ordered this because the broth saved the noodles. It had a nice slightly spicy flavor that complemented the overcooked pork belly and noodles well. Seriously just add this as a side sauce to the pork belly. There is nothing to help cut the fat otherwise and can give you flavor fatigue.

I love this restaurant--it's seriously my favorite Thai in the area! I actually crave it constantly, even when I just had it. And, our relatives ask for it every time they come into town! I'm obsessed with the curries, especially the pineapple curry. My family's favorite is the Fire Fire, but beware, it's hot!! Haha I only decreased a star because the quantities aren't always consistent in take out, and I've sometimes left with a full portion and sometimes with just the curry! I recommend eating in, as it's never failed to impress!

    Chicken Kow Soi

My husband and I were craving Kow Soi so I googled it near me and found All Rice Thai. We were so lucky! The server was adorable and charming. You should have seen her across the room with sparklers singing happy birthday to a four year old! Anyway, the kow soi was so authentic and delicious! We are recommending this family owned business to everyone!! Look closely at this picture of our meal!!! So fun!

I happened to visit during the restaurant's anniversary celebration and witnessed monks performing a blessing ceremony -- such a beautiful tradition. The owner also explained it to us as we sat at our table, which was considerate of her! I ordered a soup I'd never tried, and the broth was even better with rice. My friend had mimosas with her meal and enjoyed every sip. It has a great atmosphere, warm service, and a unique cultural touch. It's worth a visit!

Food here is always great and fresh-tasting. The staff is very kind, friendly, and helpful in picking out something to eat if you're having trouble choosing between all the tasty dishes. It's not too loud here but does get pretty packed. Sitting by the windows in the winter is okay, but you will get some breeze occasionally, so if you can, sit away from them. I ordered my usual Superstar Chicken, and it was crunchy, spicy, and very yummy. It has pineapple, onion, and pepper pieces with it, and all together it was great. I do wish it had the garlic butter rice with it; that was really good. My husband ordered the All Rice Number 3. It was really good too--nice crispy chicken and garlic butter rice. The water cups and pitcher had a very strong scent of bleach. I even overheard the table beside me say the same. It was very off-putting, so we just ordered a Coke since they used different cups, and that was fine.

    Kao Soi
    Elaine C.

This Kao Soi perfectly satisfied my craving for a cozy noodle soup on a snowy day. This dish is a yellow curry soup that consists of grilled chicken, egg noodles, and crispy fried noodles. In typical Thai manner, the rich curry is made with coconut milk and has a spicy and slightly sweet flavor that leaves you feeling warm and fuzzy inside. The floating chopstick presentation of this dish was such a novelty! They were quite generous with the chicken and the noodles--I ate about half and took home the rest. Highly recommend if you're looking for some thing different than the usual Pad Thai. Attentive service, charming interior.

For us, we were talking to an artist in the Torpedo Art Studio in Old Town Alexandria, admiring the work he did. It got then we started talking about lunch as he was from Hong Kong. He mentioned we go across the street and try something he liked as it was something he would have back home. So, taking his advice we walked across the street and went to Mai Thai. It was a good suggestion. We went in and had a seat. Our waitress (a wonderful woman from Guam) gave some advice and we to some time to think. In the end we decided to start with Spring Rolls. This is the freshest sliced roll of crispy veggie combinations of lettuce, celery, mixed veggies wrapped in a thin wrap and served with a sweet and sour dipping sauce. It was truly fresh and tasty. The dipping sauce was unique and made this worth a meal by itself. Then, being a cold day outside, soup seemed to be a good thing for lunch. We selected some traditional bowls of soup. First was TOM KA. It was a combination of vegetables and tofu in a coconut broth with mushrooms and fresh herbs. The soup had a tint of white. It was light and tasty. It was at a room temperature which is the way you have soup in Thailand. It was refreshing and light. Next we had TOM YUM. This is a combination made from slices of chicken in a lemongrass soup with fresh mushrooms, cilantro, scallions, galangal, kaffir-lime leaves, and Thai spices. The broth was light and traditional. If you wanted more spice our hostess brought it to you. Again, this was the way I had it when I was working in the rural areas of Thailand. Nothing fancy. Nothing simple. It was true home cooking that was served to you in a method truly Thai. The lunch was simple, but the way you would eat in Thailand. The taste and flavor was what to expect. The team is wonderful and friendly. The price was fine. It was good to find Mai Thai. And maybe being told about it from an artists does make it true to say that "Art is in the eye (and mouth) of the beholder."

Great little sandwich shop!…read more It's very popular at noontime. I took a break from my 4 hour long painting class upstairs in the Torpedo Factory to snag a bite. My timing was good, because I arrived right before a work group of maybe 10 people or so came into place their orders. In addition to a substantive sandwich menu, which includes both hot and cold sandwiches, there's plenty of beverage (including wine) and snack selections. Wearing an oil paint-smudged apron (FYI: the reality is that you're still going to get paint on your clothes even wearing an apron), I aptly ordered the Torpedo Artist. The Torpedo Artist is a hot Panini-like sandwich. You can select your type of meat, cheese and toppings. By default it includes lettuce, sweet peppers and deli oil. My sandwich was well-crafted with plenty of turkey and Swiss cheese. However, I didn't especially like this sandwich. I wish I had asked them to hold the deli oil because it was overly pungent with oregano. All I could taste in my sandwich was oregano. But older and wiser now, I know in the future that if I have them hold the deli oil, I'll end up with a great and tasty sandwich.

I'll ask for extra peanut butter and jelly so it's to my liking. I couldn't tell if there was honey on it, it could have been. The BLT was fantastic. I loved that it was not oiled high with all the ingredients. A simple sandwich. It fit the bill and didn't over fill me. A true classic. The multi grain bread was the best! I need to find out where that is from. It was that good. I hope I'm able to try the tuna fish and the egg salad sandwiches sometime they look delish! The staff were quiet, but got the job done.
