The service was pretty good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was colorful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The portions were good. The spices and flavors were great. I was hoping they had my favorite pad see ew but I settle for pad Thai which was great. The prices were a little high but not too bad. Our water bottle should have had ice in it. Some tables had ice but ours didn't. I will probably be back.
Great food and a great experience. Always looking to try new places and share the experience, this place is worth checking out. Staff are great, with a nice atmosphere. They have some dishes that are different than most Thai restaurants, which adds to the appeal. We started off with spring rolls, although I wasn't impressed by these (but everything else was good). We also got namtok pork for an appetizer and it was delicious. For main meals I got the angry bear noodles, my wife pad Thai, and son the coconut curry pudding. We capped off our meals with coconut cream puffs and mango sticky rice. With the exception of the spring rolls, all the dishes were absolutely delicious.
There is nothing better than some yummy Thai soul food delivered to your door on a cold, winter evening, and that is exactly what we did. My son orders from here all the time at his place of work since it is very close by, but this is the first time I have ever tried it. THE DEETS: This was an online order delivered to my home & sadly, the service took a bit. FOOD: We shared an app of chicken Larb Wrap, which is basically Larb (laab) Gai, which is a spicy minced meat salad from Laos and northeastern Thailand, featuring a mix of ground meat (like chicken, pork, or beef) with fresh mint, cilantro, scallions, in a seasoning of lime juice, fish sauce, and chili. It is bold, fresh, and tangy. Brussel Sprout stir fry with mixed veggies, garlic, and tofu, and asked for it spicy, and it was absolutely delish! Khao Soi, which is a Northern Thai-style curry with chicken, pickled cabbage, and served with egg noodles, not rice. Mango Sticky Rice, which is sliced mangos over sweet sticky rice that has a coconut sauce and is topped with sesame seeds. All of the food, but the dessert, was amazing with incredible flavor profiles and traveled well for delivery. Sadly, the Mango Sticky Rice was very underwhelming and was a sticky pile of tasteless, glued rice. My son thought maybe it was because of being delivered, but I have ordered this dessert from several other establishments for delivery and have never had a problem. NOTES: I would order from them again, and I must say that they wrapped every single food item so securely that I was thoroughly impressed and super appreciative. I will skip the mango sticky rice for sure, and for that reason, and the enormous delivery wait time, I am taking off a star, but everything else was so delish, I am keeping the other four stars. Was in the area for an early Sunday hair appointment and stopped in just upon opening. A few patrons were already in and pursuing the This style weekend brunch options. I was immediately greeted upon entering and asked if I was dining in or doing takeout. Thai music playing in the background and brightly colored decorations and furniture made me smile. As I waited for my take-away a steady flow of patrons came in for their brunch spread. Must be a crowd favorite. For take-away I ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai Siam with extra sauce and I added red bell peppers and kale. I was not a fan of the flavor of the dish. The ingredients looked fresh but something was off about the flavor. I also ordered the mango sticky rice which was good. The rice texture was perfect but I'm wondering if the mangos are fresh or canned. They didn't have the texture of fresh mangos, the cubes were on the soft side. I also was not a fan of the take-way containers, too much plastic. Solid 3.5 stars. Although this seems like a popular spot I'll keep searching...
My colleague and I were trying to figure out where to meet up and made choice to come here and glad we did! [[HIGHLIGHT]]You are greeted when you come in, place was nice and bright, and our server was friendly, smiled and just awesome.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The drinks were good and the food was tasty. I tried Tofu with my rice, but next time, it will be chicken or shrimp! Of course I had to take a box home! And my colleague ordered mango sticky rice to take home!! To quote the great TheReportOfTheWeek " my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined". I was craving some Thai food and looking forward to this Crackin' belly and lo mein and damn this hurt. The pork belly was overcooked and the top and bottom of it had a rubbery texture. I took a knife and cut off the ends to avoid chewing rubber. The flavor wasn't too bad but I really wanted a sauce to tie this together. The crispy bits and chilis were really nice to eat though. The veggies tasted frozen and weren't cooked long enough. They were stale and cold and offered NOTHING to the dish. Finally I paid $2 to upgrade from rice to lo mein noodles. These were overcooked and bland and just stuck together, honestly AVOID at all cost. The only reason I have them a 2 star is because of their Khao soi. I'm so glad my husband ordered this because the broth saved the noodles. It had a nice slightly spicy flavor that complemented the overcooked pork belly and noodles well. Seriously just add this as a side sauce to the pork belly. There is nothing to help cut the fat otherwise and can give you flavor fatigue.
I love this restaurant--it's seriously my favorite Thai in the area! I actually crave it constantly, even when I just had it. And, our relatives ask for it every time they come into town! I'm obsessed with the curries, especially the pineapple curry. My family's favorite is the Fire Fire, but beware, it's hot!! Haha I only decreased a star because the quantities aren't always consistent in take out, and I've sometimes left with a full portion and sometimes with just the curry! I recommend eating in, as it's never failed to impress!
I happened to visit during the restaurant's anniversary celebration and witnessed monks performing a blessing ceremony -- such a beautiful tradition. The owner also explained it to us as we sat at our table, which was considerate of her! I ordered a soup I'd never tried, and the broth was even better with rice. My friend had mimosas with her meal and enjoyed every sip. It has a great atmosphere, warm service, and a unique cultural touch. It's worth a visit!

It's so fresh, from the meat to the side dishes. I feel like I am back in Thailand. When I was researching on this restaurant, I found out that the chef taught in Bangkok culinary school. (3/5) I visited All Rice Thai on a Friday afternoon around 4:20 PM after a Restaurant Depot run--hat, flip-flops, and casual clothes. That's how I spend many of my days off as a restaurant owner myself. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My experience started off on the wrong foot when I was directed to a very small table for one. I politely explained several times that I typically order a substantial amount of food and would need more space. I was told the larger tables were reserved and that tables could be pushed together later if needed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As the meal progressed, a longtime friend of mine who works there came out to say hello. Shortly afterward, tables were combined, apologies were offered, and the experience improved significantly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]What left me puzzled was that many of the larger "reserved" tables remained empty throughout my visit. By the time I left around 5:00 PM, they still had not been used.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was mixed. I came specifically for the Khao Mun Gai, one of Thailand's most iconic dishes. Unfortunately, it was underwhelming. The chicken was average, the rice was decent, and the accompanying soup lacked depth and flavor. On the positive side, the Crackin' Belly was excellent--crispy, flavorful, and well executed. The Pad Thai Siam Shrimp was solid, and while the Tom Sab soup had good flavor, it was a bit too spicy for my preference. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself is beautiful. The space is modern, clean, bright, and thoughtfully designed. Easily one of the nicer Thai restaurant interiors in Northern Virginia.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] One additional detail stood out. My friend joined me briefly for a toast. I ordered a double bourbon, and he ordered a shot. All three shots appeared on my bill, totaling $45. While not a major issue, it felt like a missed opportunity for hospitality given the circumstances. In the end, my bill was approximately $163 for a solo meal. My biggest takeaway wasn't the food--it was the inconsistency in hospitality. The experience improved dramatically after I was recognized, and every guest should feel welcomed and valued from the moment they walk through the door, regardless of appearance or assumptions about what they may spend. The restaurant has a talented kitchen, a beautiful dining room, and plenty of potential. With more consistent hospitality, this could easily become a destination Thai restaurant. read more

This place is a hidden gem!! I don't live up in NOVA but i will definitely go out the way to come here again. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is a vibrant, gorgeous vibe[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and the food was VERY flavorful and good. The servers were very attentive and flexible, nothing fell short. read more

The best mango sticky rice in the whole area . The cream sauce is textured and the mangos were fresh and cut in cubes. I order number 3 with fried chicken. It was crispy with no real seasoning itself but good portions. The rice was amazing and balanced the meal with the cucumbers. read more

Food here is always great and fresh-tasting. The staff is very kind, friendly, and helpful in picking out something to eat if you're having trouble choosing between all the tasty dishes. It's not too loud here but does get pretty packed. Sitting by the windows in the winter is okay, but you will get some breeze occasionally, so if you can, sit away from them. I ordered my usual Superstar Chicken, and it was crunchy, spicy, and very yummy. It has pineapple, onion, and pepper pieces with it, and all together it was great. I do wish it had the garlic butter rice with it; that was really good. My husband ordered the All Rice Number 3. It was really good too--nice crispy chicken and garlic butter rice. The water cups and pitcher had a very strong scent of bleach. I even overheard the table beside me say the same. It was very off-putting, so we just ordered a Coke since they used different cups, and that was fine. read more

This Kao Soi perfectly satisfied my craving for a cozy noodle soup on a snowy day. This dish is a yellow curry soup that consists of grilled chicken, egg noodles, and crispy fried noodles. In typical Thai manner, the rich curry is made with coconut milk and has a spicy and slightly sweet flavor that leaves you feeling warm and fuzzy inside. The floating chopstick presentation of this dish was such a novelty! They were quite generous with the chicken and the noodles--I ate about half and took home the rest. Highly recommend if you're looking for some thing different than the usual Pad Thai. Attentive service, charming interior. read more

My husband and I were craving Kow Soi so I googled it near me and found All Rice Thai. We were so lucky! The server was adorable and charming. You should have seen her across the room with sparklers singing happy birthday to a four year old! Anyway, the kow soi was so authentic and delicious! We are recommending this family owned business to everyone!! Look closely at this picture of our meal!!! So fun! read more
We walked in the restaurant and were welcomed with the warmest smiles and hellos. The atmosphere is so inviting and feels like you are dining at a relative's house, everyone is so nice, energetic and welcoming. The space is beautifully decorated, bright and cheerful, beautiful pictures of Thailand on the walls. Everything is spotless clean. The menu is extensive with lots of yummy options. We ordered chicken satay from the "small plates" but it was surprisingly big. My kids loved it. I had the brown sauce noodles, which were like the pad see ew, very flavorful, and the portion was big too! Hubby had a chicken curry and he loved it, it had just the perfect amount of spiciness. For dessert we opted for the coconut ice cream- very creamy, rich and not overly sweet. The service was outstanding, it was so joyous eating there! The atmosphere was just happy and friendly. This will be our new go-to Thai restaurant. read more

Came here for the first time a month and a half ago and was floored by the service and food! It was packed during the lunch rush but it was a great experience; I took some basil chicken home to share and my wife loved it the following day! It has just the right amount of heat to be meaningful but not too much! Brought my wife and daughter here a couple of weeks ago so we could all enjoy it and opted for something new, the chefs special fried noodle (it looked super cool) while the flavor wasn't for me... more of a coconut curry than I was expecting but the presentation sure wow'd the table! My wife loved her soup and my daughter crushed the dumplings. Wish this place wasn't so far but we will definitely be back!! Ps: the bathroom here is amazing read more
We paid our first visit to All Rice last night and had a very good experience. I like the big fold-open window at the front, perfect for mild Virginia days and evenings. The interior is cheery and inviting, decorated in lively colors. Service was friendly and responsive. We ordered the seafood larb, grilled pork, plus tom yum and tom kha soups. Dishes by default are extremely spicy. My tom kha was so spicy I couldn't eat it. The good news is that you can request the spice level you want. Another note is that if you say "no cilantro" that's not good enough. They use some green here called "culantro". So, when they brought out my soup they assured me there was no cilantro; they thought culantro would be okay. It was not okay. Culantro and cilantro are different weeds but they are closely related and taste the same. JP loved the tom yum, it was the best he has ever had, especially the shrimp in it. That brings up another point. They will ask you if you want shrimp or chicken in your soup. But what they don't tell you is that the shrimp is $2 extra. JP also loved the seafood larb. The menu doesn't say the larb is shareable but the portion is huge! It would satisfy the appetite of at least three adults. I ordered the grilled pork entrée from the back of the menu. It comes with two slices of cucumber, your choice of rice, and also a field greens salad which came out first. The salad is excellent with lots of different nicely cut vegetables plus a tasty vinaigrette. If you like lemongrass you will love their grilled pork. I know that lemongrass is traditional in cooking meats in both Thai and Vietnamese cuisine, but I'm not a fan of lemongrass at all so I wasn't enamored with the pork. But you might be. Lots of appetizers I want to try, so we will be back. read more

Why don't I live closer to this place?!?!??! It would be absolutely wonderful for my taste buds and stomach although maybe not so much for my wallet..... My partner and I both loved the food so much - we enjoy thai food so have tried lots of thai places, and this one is one of our tops. Authentic, flavorful, fresh - all of the things you would want. The ambiance inside is very cute, stylish, and clean! The service was also wonderful, even for our to-go order. The owner kept checking on us while we waited, had a smile on their face, and even offered to take our picture, lol! Although I don't live super close, we plan on returning for date nights and can't wait. read more
All Rice is such a hidden gem! This place deserves way more hype because the flavors in every dish are incredible. I genuinely don't think there's anything on the menu that isn't good. It's tough to pick a favorite because everything I've tried has been amazing. If you're on the fence about what to order, don't stress--just go and try anything. You won't be disappointed! Such a cute Thai restaurant tucked in Alexandria! I like that the menu has a lot of unique dishes that we've never tried before. I got the seafood lard na and the portion was really generous (with huge shrimps). It was very flavorful but did get salty after a while. I wish we had a choice of noodles though because the fried egg noodles got soggy instantly. I would have preferred flat rice noodles. My bf got the fried chicken garlic rice and really enjoyed how crispy and tender the chicken was. He said the rice was buttery but could use more garlic. Service was quick and attentive - our waitress checked on us multiple times. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes on their menu! read more

AllRice Thai: A Breath of Fresh Air & Flavor AllRice Thai is giving small-but-mighty charm, and I am here for it! From the moment you walk in, it feels different, in a good way. Dropped into this bright and beautiful restaurant on a Sunday. We were seated immediately and given menus. There was also pre pared dishes that weren't on the menu that they also featured. I guess the specials. We did go for 3 of the special dishes and ordered the noodles off of the menu. EVERYTHING was sooooo delicious! The four of us loved it all! Omg! So happy I found this place, I'm actually mad I took so long to try it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Ambiance is bright, welcoming and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is also very nice and welcoming. The best part is the fresh and flavorful food. This is the best tom yum I've ever had. I also tried the pad Thai and the angry bear noodles and ka pow shrimp. Super friendly service. I love the indoor/outdoor space. When it's nice out, they open up the large front windows so you get a really nice breeze on a warm summer day or a crisp spring/fall day. I've tried several of their dishes and everything's been delicious. The spring rolls and the potstickers are really good appetizers! The basil fried rice had a wonderful flavor and great texture. The angry bear noodles were also really good. Just make sure you're ok with the watercress. That kinda surprised me a little because there were big chunks of it. But overall, I'd order the dish again. I didn't find either of these too spicy but my kids did. I'm definitely coming back to try more dishes. read more

Went to All Rice Thai for dinner the other day ,it's a lively and happening place located in Kingstown, Manchester Blvd. The atmosphere had a perfect weekend vibe with good music and a cheerful crowd. We ordered just two dishes and two drinks: * Crab Fried Rice * Pineapple Curry with Minced Chicken * Mimosa * Blue Kamikaze The food was absolutely delicious -- authentic Thai flavors with just the right balance of spice and sweetness. The pineapple curry was especially flavorful and unique, while the crab fried rice was light, fragrant, and not greasy at all. Portion sizes were more than generous ,honestly, the two dishes could easily feed four people. Overall, had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this spot for anyone who loves Thai food with great taste and big portions! read more

Best Thai curry around the block. Even though they have diff spice levels in dishes you can customize it too. Their white rice is always perfectly cooked perfect for the cold winter night.
