Immediately greeted upon entering. Open, minimally decorated restaurant, in a good way. Light colors and natural light..tranquil, soft Thai music playing in the background. I ordered take-away, shrimp bikinis and spring rolls. Everything was hot and crispy but the flavors were just blah. Not good, not bad. The best part was the interior of the restaurant and the homemade sweet and sour sauce which came with both appetizers.

I ran in here for a quick lunch. I wanted my favorite soup Tom Kha, and it did not disappoint! 10/10 I got the veggie version. No notes. Perfect! The crab Rangoon was a 0/10. No flavor at all even the sweet and sour wasn't tasty. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food came out SUPER quick which I appreciated because I was in a time crunch. I would've ordered more if I had more time but those were two things I love and know the come out very quickly I maybe waited 5 minutes max!

Very cute and quiet ambiance with great customer service. The food was AMAZING! I ordered the samosas, tofu green curry and a non-alcoholic shirley temple. I literally went back 2 days later!! I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

This place will always hit! I love it so much. Came here with a friend to catch up and they are always just so friendly and inviting. And the food never misses. This time around, I had to get the Tom Kha and I got some pad Thai. I love how they have specials that change with the season. My friend enjoyed her meal as well.

This place is so tasty! Took my dude here for a birthday lunch and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. Service was super nice, the restaurant is so cute. The parking lot is a hazard so be careful. Get the mango sticky rice - they cook the rice with pandan!

Thai Lemon has been on my list of local places to try. As soon as you walk in you are instantly greeted and you feel like you have walked into a friends house for a delicious meal. The decor is nice and welcoming. There is a beautiful backdrop with the restaurants name. Thai Lemon offers lunch until. 3:00. Which is an appetizer and one entree. I ended up ordering off of the regular menu. The crab wontons were perfectly crispy and the there was plenty of filling on the inside. I ordered the panang chicken as my entree which was served with a side of rice. The curry was flavorful and did not pack a lot of heat which I appreciated. The portion was enough for me to have some leftovers which is always a plus for me.

This restaurant is super cute, tucked away in the van dorn shopping plaza. It's impossible to see from the road so I missed it for a whole year after moving here! I was really intrigued hearing about the ambiance and the rave reviews and finally got to try it for myself with takeout. When I came in, I felt like I was entering someone's home, it was so cozy and I was greeted by a very kind woman with a smile. I ordered the chefs special shrimp clay pot, the chicken karipuffs, and the fish cakes. The clay pot was very good and a bonus is that the tails were cut off! Next time I might order it without spice as it seemed like it was just sprinkled with crushed red pepper and seemed to take away the true flavor of the dish. Regardless it was still great. The karipuffs and fish cakes were delicious especially with the tasty cucumber sauce they came with. I might be dreaming of those karipuffs for a while now. I'm excited to dine in next time and try more of the menu!

The restaurant is a small quaint place with plenty if parking. The restaurant is very well decorated in Alexandria Van Dorn St. Each plate we order is large (more than plenty for 2 people.) We came on a Tuesday night before Xmas. We ordered the crispy fish, green curry and Mango sticky rice for dessert. The meal was excellent and came quickly. Total bill $57.67 not including tip. We will definitely return again.

Got to this place and was first very happy with the parking situation. No parallel parking needed, small parking but it's a parking lot! Walked in and got greet right away by staff. We had a party of six and ordered so many different types of food. After we place the order, everything comes out fairly fast so I would rate service to be amazing. The restaurant is small but very roomy and cozy. Food ratings in my opinion: 1. Fried chicken wings: crispy, seasoned, perfect. Comes with chili sauce 2. Gyoza tasted home made and different. Crispy. 3. Pad see yew: Noodles and protein was perfectly seasoned, tasted perfect with the jalapeno 4. Pad Thai: A bit smaller portion than other thai places but was seasoned well. 5. Massamun Curry: Interesting taste and delicious with rice. Not my fav but it's everyone at the table's favorite. 6. Whole fried fish: The star of the show!!!! I love this dish and so does everyone else. Super crispy, sauce that comes with it was amazingly seasonsed. Price is reasonable. 7. drunken Noodles: yum! Always one of our go to dish at thai restaurant! 8. Fried tofu: Crispy, not enough sauce but still really good! 9. Papaya salad: Not my fav as it seems to be missing a little sour but still good. 10. Banana roti: MY FAV. It's soft on the outside and inside. Perfect amount of chocolate sauce and condense milk. I would be able to eat the dish by myself. 11. Fried banana and vanilla ice cream: fried banana egg rolls are crispy and so good witth ice cream. but nothing special 12. Mango sticky rice: I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to bring 5 of these dishes home because whyyy is it so good! The sticky rice is moist, soft and perfect with the mango. Lots of mango and rice but i should have bought one to bring home because the taste is amazing! My favorite thai restaurants mango sticky rice! Over all, with 12 dishes later, between the 6 of us, the price total was $187 which is not bad at all for alexandria area. If I'm ever in the area, i would love to come here again!

Decent spot for a quick takeout order. We tried the spring rolls, pad see ew, chicken Panang curry, and chicken pad Thai, and everything was good. The food was ready on time, and it wasn't too busy on a Sunday night. The interior is cute, making it a nice place to hang out if you decide to dine in.

HIDDEN GEM!!!!!!! This spot was a bit hard to find based on the address on google but once we did we were so happy! The interior is soo nice and clean and the staff was so friendly and welcoming! The food was well made, fresh, and clearly made with love! The mango sticky rice was the best I ever had and was so flavorful. This is their moms recipe! Parking is free but may be tight because of a small parking area.

Just had lunch here for the first time and it was fantastic! We had Thai dumplings and two lunch specials (great value) - spring rolls and pad Thai, and tom kha soup and panang curry. We were the first customers and the staff went out of their way to provide exceptional service. Can't wait to come back to try more, the menu looks amazing!

For us, we were talking to an artist in the Torpedo Art Studio in Old Town Alexandria, admiring the work he did. It got then we started talking about lunch as he was from Hong Kong. He mentioned we go across the street and try something he liked as it was something he would have back home. So, taking his advice we walked across the street and went to Mai Thai. It was a good suggestion. We went in and had a seat. Our waitress (a wonderful woman from Guam) gave some advice and we to some time to think. In the end we decided to start with Spring Rolls. This is the freshest sliced roll of crispy veggie combinations of lettuce, celery, mixed veggies wrapped in a thin wrap and served with a sweet and sour dipping sauce. It was truly fresh and tasty. The dipping sauce was unique and made this worth a meal by itself. Then, being a cold day outside, soup seemed to be a good thing for lunch. We selected some traditional bowls of soup. First was TOM KA. It was a combination of vegetables and tofu in a coconut broth with mushrooms and fresh herbs. The soup had a tint of white. It was light and tasty. It was at a room temperature which is the way you have soup in Thailand. It was refreshing and light. Next we had TOM YUM. This is a combination made from slices of chicken in a lemongrass soup with fresh mushrooms, cilantro, scallions, galangal, kaffir-lime leaves, and Thai spices. The broth was light and traditional. If you wanted more spice our hostess brought it to you. Again, this was the way I had it when I was working in the rural areas of Thailand. Nothing fancy. Nothing simple. It was true home cooking that was served to you in a method truly Thai. The lunch was simple, but the way you would eat in Thailand. The taste and flavor was what to expect. The team is wonderful and friendly. The price was fine. It was good to find Mai Thai. And maybe being told about it from an artists does make it true to say that "Art is in the eye (and mouth) of the beholder."

Was seated by a delightful young lady, and found the decor and layout to be quite pleasing; modest by elegant. As for the fare, it was indeed quite worth the walk. Ordered a bowl of Tom Yum and the Pad Thai Mun Goong. The Tom Yum was solid and quite flavorful, a flux of tangy lemongrass with the oniony sweetness of steeped scallions, and enoki mushrooms to provide some heartiness. The Pad Thai Mun Goong was a chef specialty pad Thai made with stir fried rice noodle, prawns shrimp tomalley oil (a crucial element for this version), egg and bean sprouts, naturally topped with green onions, peanuts and a lime for squeezing, and this also was quite phenomenal. Savory, sweet, a little tingle of sourness from the citrus in the mid-palate, and the juicy, briny shrimp balancing the dense carbs and rich flavorful sauce. All-in-all, I was well pleased this visit. As this is Padaek's second location, I hope they don't expand too much further/quickly and compromise on quality.

They had a band and singers and folks were up dancing. We found out this is an annual thing and not something regular. We didn't realized they closed at 9pm so felt a little rushed. My friend and I shared the Pad See Ew with beef and the Pla Makham. Both dishes were so good and packed with flavor. We saw some good looking dishes being delivered to other tables and can't wait to return to try them.
