Like many of my food adventures- I was leaving the gym, starving and looking something to satisfy my hunger! As often the case, Thai Lemon to the rescue. It's fast, convenient, healthy and never busy! (They seem to do more take-out business). But I'm happy to grab a seat here. The decor here is quite interesting. There are so many inspirational signs. I dont know where people find their "Live, Laugh, Love" signs but they've hit the jackpot on it. And they provide a lot of amusement while eating! There are also funny signs about not being drunk here - various bar signs even though it's not a bar. My go-to orders here are pad see ew with beef and extra Chinese broccoli and a singha beer. My wife gets the same but with tofu or drunken noodles. I love the silverware that they have here. They're gold forks and knives, and heavy! They feel so luxe. My friends often order the Thai ice tea or coffee and they rave about those drinks, too. I usually cap my meal with a mango sticky rice. It's one of my favorite desserts of all time! I have eaten in here and gotten take out a few times. The inside is smartly decorated and not many seated here when I have gotten to go orders. I ran in here for a quick lunch. I wanted my favorite soup Tom Kha, and it did not disappoint! 10/10 I got the veggie version. No notes. Perfect! The crab Rangoon was a 0/10. No flavor at all even the sweet and sour wasn't tasty. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food came out SUPER quick which I appreciated because I was in a time crunch. Thai Lemon has been on my list of local places to try. As soon as you walk in you are instantly greeted and you feel like you have walked into a friends house for a delicious meal. The decor is nice and welcoming. There is a beautiful backdrop with the restaurants name. Thai Lemon offers lunch until. 3:00. Which is an appetizer and one entree. I ended up ordering off of the regular menu. The crab wontons were perfectly crispy and the there was plenty of filling on the inside. I ordered the panang chicken as my entree which was served with a side of rice. The curry was flavorful and did not pack a lot of heat which I appreciated. I love the restaurant's Pad Thai. Their combo menu in the lunch time comes with spring rolls or other sides. The restaurant's food quality is consistent as well. Waitresses were very nice and kind. REAL TALK: I was super resistant in trying out Thai Lemon, as I thought the previous restaurant was trying to bamboozle the public by just 'renaming' their eatery - fortunately, this place has totally changed hands to new owners with a lovely refresh of the interior, along with the name! We came here for an early dinner, and we were greeted so warmly - we were able to choose anywhere to sit in the dining space, so we opted for the cute little bench area off to the side. The menu is pretty extensive, offering various apps, soups, curries, fried rice, noodles, fried rice entrees, chef's specialties, side dishes, and drinks. We ordered: +a Panang curry with tofu - this was my favorite of the night; while it wasn't thick in consistency, the flavor was phenomenal, being so tasty with a little bit of a kick! +the House Fried Rice with chicken - a simple rice dish; the hubs enjoyed this more than I did; I thought there was an off taste to it +Pad Thai with shrimp - generously served with large, deveined fresh shrimp; the noodles were cooked properly, the shrimp could have been a bit more fresh; they dressed the noodles with additional sauce, as requested! +and, Drunken Noodles with chicken - a nice spiciness to this, but was a little bland; it still had a great wok-fried flavor to it For their beverage, we gave their Homemade Lemonade a try, and this was super tart and very refreshing - yum! We also tried their Kluay Roti for dessert, which were fried roti filled with fresh banana, sprinkled with a cinnamon-sugar mixture, and drizzled with condensed milk and a chocolate sauce - this wasn't overly sweet, which was perfect, and a wonderful way to end the meal! All the portions were super generous, and the staff were so kind, attentive, and so sweet! Even the chef came out to ensure that everything was satisfactory - that's some service! I just have to note that everything here is kawaii-esque - the way the menu looks, the decorations, and all the attention to details, all around the restaurant - it's so nice! Prices are a tad bit higher compared to other restaurants. From the moment we walked into this establishment, the warm welcome and genuine hospitality set the tone. You can instantly feel that it's family owned and run with so much heart! This restaurant is super cute, tucked away in the van dorn shopping plaza. It's impossible to see from the road so I missed it for a whole year after moving here! I was really intrigued hearing about the ambiance and the rave reviews and finally got to try it for myself with takeout. When I came in, I felt like I was entering someone's home, it was so cozy and I was greeted by a very kind woman with a smile. I ordered the chefs special shrimp clay pot, the chicken karipuffs, and the fish cakes. The clay pot was very good and a bonus is that the tails were cut off! Next time I might order it without spice as it seemed like it was just sprinkled with crushed red pepper and seemed to take away the true flavor of the dish. Regardless it was still great. The karipuffs and fish cakes were delicious especially with the tasty cucumber sauce they came with. I might be dreaming of those karipuffs for a while now. Got to this place and was first very happy with the parking situation. No parallel parking needed, small parking but it's a parking lot! Walked in and got greet right away by staff. The restaurant is small but very roomy and cozy. Food ratings in my opinion: 1. Fried chicken wings: crispy, seasoned, perfect. Comes with chili sauce 2. Gyoza tasted home made and different. Crispy. 3. Pad see yew: Noodles and protein was perfectly seasoned, tasted perfect with the jalapeno 4. Pad Thai: A bit smaller portion than other thai places but was seasoned well. 5. Massamun Curry: Interesting taste and delicious with rice. Not my fav but it's everyone at the table's favorite. 6. Whole fried fish: The star of the show!!!! I love this dish and so does everyone else. Super crispy, sauce that comes with it was amazingly seasonsed. Price is reasonable. 7. drunken Noodles: yum! Fried banana and vanilla ice cream: fried banana egg rolls are crispy and so good witth ice cream. but nothing special 12. Mango sticky rice: I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to bring 5 of these dishes home because whyyy is it so good! The sticky rice is moist, soft and perfect with the mango. I've been coming here for 10-15 years (they were always called Thai Lemon Grass before). Food has always been good. Their pad thai is delicious-- not too sweet as some places tend to be. Their Tom Yum is really good with just the right amount of seasoning. It's the best I've had in the area. The service is great-- it's a small restaurant. I've never understood why it's not more crowded. It's at the entrance of a strip mall with plenty of parking, in a well-lit area, and it's surrounded by plenty of diverse restaurants. Just got takeout from Thai Lemon! First: this place is SOOOO cute inside. Well done! I ordered the pad Thai chicken and the "house" rolls. Pad Thai was delicious but the noodles were a little too well done...just maybe a minute less in the boiling water? Sauce and chicken, etc and presentation SPOT ON and delish. The "house rolls", are a strange version of "summer" rolls. Ground chicken and shrimp? Didn't taste the shrimp and all. I hope they decide to just do shrimp summer rolls in the future.
