Absolutely terrible experience with Link. A sales rep reached out to me in early 2018. He did a great job selling but terrible job explaining the setup of the system. When I got the system and tried to install it, I realized that this does NOT work for doors that aren't perfectly in line with their door frames (which is pretty common in older homes). When I explained this to Link, their initial solution was to use 3M stickies to get the sensors to line up with each other. To reiterate, their suggestion was for me to be MacGyver and rely on 3M stickies for a HOME SECURITY SYSTEM. I explained that this was unacceptable (what if the sensors fall off the door? I'm supposed to feel safe knowing my security system is relying on 3M stickies lined up?) and their next solution was to use different sensors - ones that get drilled into the door and frame. I said no, that is not what I want to do, as that is not what I originally ordered and if I had known the only option for my doors was to now drill into my doors, I would never have ordered it. At that point, I had already paid for 4 months of service without using the service for even a day. I asked to cancel since this was not working in my house (and this was after trying their suggestions) and the refused. The only thing they offered was a discount on a buyout. So, fast forward to July 2020 and my service is just now ending, and I had to pay $30 a month for two years without ever using the service. They are 100% unwilling to work with you on canceling the service if it does not work for your home, and cling to contracts. I understand how contracts work, but as someone who works in the service industry, I have time and time again severed contracts if the relationship REALLY isn't working. Why should both parties suffer? Link does not care - please know this before you sign up with them. You have been warned. read more

I find the company in general to be satisfactory. This is my third alarm company in a span of approximately thirty years. The first was the best, in terms of customer service and interpersonal relations. This present company seems to function at an acceptable level with the exception of the fact that I have told them on many occisions that I prefer the use of my family name as opposed to their casual "first" name philosophy. For some reason they find it difficult to accept this request. Secondly in the almost three years that I have been with them, I have experienced difficulty on more than one occasion, in getting competent assistance in the installation of add-on sensors. In addition to not having the knowledge, some agents could not even point me to an online or catalog reference. read more

I also purchased my system through Costco. If you are handy at all, this is the way to go. Same equipment as the big players, but at much better prices. The packages were customizable, so I was able to get all the options I wanted without anything I didn't need. The ability to connect my garage door control, is very handy. Before I used to forget to close the door sometimes, so it's nice to be able to check from my phone and close if needed. Their support was very responsive and helpful during setup, which is important, because these wireless systems are a bit more complicated to setup than the old wired systems. Overall, I highly recommend if you're handy and willing to spend a little time. I liked that I was able to set everything exactly the way I wanted, rather than rely on an installer that I had no idea how good they would be. read more

I just got off the phone with Andrea from Link Interactive and she is really stellar. I was initially going to move to ADT because they have a long history in security, however their customer service is very poor and they have a confusing deal with third parties so it's not clear who you are actually dealing with at any given time. Andrea from Link allowed me to take some time to think about getting the home security system without any pressure whatsoever (not the situation with other home security companies--I've called a few in my search for one). Andrea even asked if I wanted her to call me back in 15 mins so I could think about it more. I got back on the phone and she answered all my questions and was very personable. We purchased our new Link Home Security system online through Costco. We like it a lot more than our old ADT system. The touchpad is a good size - very easy for us to see and use. Plus it has the weather! Even though I tore my achilles tendon (playing basketball), I was still able to install the entire system in a few hours without any problems. Based on my research, Link Home Security provides the best overall value when you consider up-front and monitoring costs. The initial cost for the system was very reasonable considering the quality of the system we purchased. Plus our home insurance costs are reduced with the system! I highly recommend this system to anyone in the home security market. read more

We got this system via Costco and have been very pleased. We got the 200 dollar home automation/security system and for what you get it can't be beat! It's super easy to install and it's also very easy to program. We've added a glass break sensor and another door sensor and it was simple to get them up and running. It's alarm.com based, so we can do most everything from our mobile devices and it's nice being able to give logins to the cleaning people and relatives. Unfortunately our experience with Link has been sub-par for the entire time we have had the equipment. We signed on to a 3 year contract at the urging of a friend who was a sales rep for them at Costco. He helped us get the system set up and then a month later, Link fired all their Costco reps (with no notice or severance - speaks to their integrity) so we lost our only real human contact with the company. Things with the equipment were starting to have glitches and would require several hours of troubleshooting on the phone (sometimes with no luck). When we moved a year and a half ago, our new home had a brand new ADT system in it. Link wouldn't release us from our contract and offered no assistance setting us up. They sent us a form to go to the local police station to be completed because they don't have real local employees who do anything. All our equipment has sat in a box collecting dust. We are waiting for our contract to run out or we may have ADT buy out the Link contract. Lesson learned - don't sign a 3 year contract with a company that has zero local service and poor quality equipment. An $1800 mistake I won't make again. These guys are bad news. read more

I did a fair amount of research on homeowner-installed security alarm/monitoring systems, and Link Home Security was consistently highly-rated. I purchased my system through Costco, and installed it myself over the course of an afternoon. I'm moderately "handy" and it took me about 3 hours to complete the installation -- but it would not have taken this long (probably half as long) if the control panel had not had a relatively minor power supply/wiring issue that had to be corrected in order for the panel to receive power. I called technical support, and the technician (Travis) was very helpful, and he talked me through the correction process. The system, overall, is very intuitive, has many options available, and customer service has been exceptional (Debbie Elliott, Business Manager, has also been very helpful). I would absolutely recommend Link Home Security to a friend. read more

We have been customer of ADT for more than 2 decades but recently decided to switch because ADT's monthly price is just soaring through the roof! Our past monthly due used to be around $30, and now it is more around $50 or more. So I decided to shop around for other security systems and was really fortunate to find Link Interactive as an alternative. First of all, in terms of service quality and customer orientation, Link Interactive absolutely beats ADT out of the water. The initial starting equipment for Link Interactive is about $150 or so with a monthly due of $30 for monitoring service. I decided to sign up really due to the great customer service and review of the company. My personal experience started with Jose Sandoval, who was extremely professional and answered all of my questions patiently and in detail. Jose also helped me secure new sign-up discounts. The self-installation is very easy to do, and the equipment is high quality. The system is also extremely modern with remote arm/disarm and all IOT-enabled. After receiving and setting up the system, I called several times their support call. The call is always immediately put through to customer service representatives, and they are all great at what they do. The only difference is that their customer service is not 24/7 vs. ADT. I highly recommend you to look beyond ADT as the only home security service provider and try Link Interactive. You will never go back! read more

I do not recommend Link Interactive. The company requires signing a 3 year contract, and they will not release a customer from the contract for any reason. After using the service for 18 months, I had to move from my house due to unforeseen circumstances. I moved into an apartment complex where I can not use a private security system. After several phone calls and emails, Link finally lowered my monthly payment by a mere $5 per month, but would not cancel the contract unless I bought it out in one lump sum. Today, after the system has been disconnected for 11 months, someone from Link called to tell me that the alarm system seemed to be disconnected. The person calling had no idea that the alarm was disconnected 11 months ago. Clearly, using Link Interactive to provide protection and peace of mind is foolhardy, because for 11 months they have not received any signals from my alarm system, and they just now noticed. The representative again today said that they will not cancel my policy, even though I am not using their services in any way. So I have to continue to pay for a service that I am not receiving for another 7 months. This company uses predatory practices, and will not let a customer out of the contract even for circumstances beyond his or her control. Link continues to pocket money from me without providing any goods or services in return, with no compunction. Other home alarm systems provide more reliable coverage without long contracts. For me, choosing Link Interactive was a huge mistake. read more

After researching three other major alarm companies I came across Link Home on a COSTCO web page. The Link Home system through COSTCO was a far better value both for the monthly service charge as well as the cost of various components. In addition the notification options such as an iPhone App, and on line through alarm.com was superior in various notification choices. I installed they system in a few hours. 10 door window sensors, 4 motion sensors and 7 heat, smoke and freeze detectors. Installation was very easy and when I ran into a small problem I called tech support that immediately solved the issue. I do have one "tip" When setting up the motion sensors and looking for the ideal position I used "Museum Putty" to temporarily place the sensor on the wall. It holds great and you can move it around until you are ready to screw the sensor into the wall. The system has been activated now for several days and all aspects work great. I did run a live test too; to make sure all was working. It performs just as advertised. In addition their customer service is the best I have ever encountered. I have been very impressed with the level of customer service and the attention to detail including follow-up I have received from Link Home Security from everyone I have had contact with; Sales, Alarm.com, Administration and Technical support. I must say it is by far the best level of service I have ever experienced with ANY Company or Service. read more

Overall, I like the security system and the support people at Link Interactive and Alarm.com. I would have rated Link at 5, but for the troublesome Skybell I bought. It rates at 3 out of 5 by consumers, and I would have to agree. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I expect reliability out of an alarm system, and the Skybell fails to deliver. Otherwise the door sensors, etc, were easy to install and setup. The outdoor camera requires being plugged into an outlet, so that required an electrician, but it seems to work as advertised. Overall a good system. If they ever get the Skybell working reliably, they will easily rate a 5 out of 5. read more

I bought a Link Interactive system for my office with GLASS BREAK DETECTOR, Motions, and Electronic Thermostat! Thought it was great, so bought one for my home ALSO! The only problem: The 2gig GLASS BREAK detectors I relied on in my office and later for my home have a range on 15 feet according to the instructions. I found that they were NOT sensitive enough!!!! I called Link Interactive and the customer support supervisor that was suppose to call me back after researching the product with 2gig (the company that makes the Glass Breaks NEVER did! I feel that Link Interactive LET ME DOWN! I REPLACED ALL THE GLASS BREAKS 6 IN ALL, WITH HONEYWELL 5853 WHICH HAVE A RANGE UPTO 25 FEET AND HAVE 4 SETTINGS FOR SESITIVITY AND RANGE. Link did take the other back. BUT BE AWARE AND CAREFUL to test the GLASS BREAKS, which is not the easiest thing to do. Honeywell have a Glass Break Simulator to test them. So for LINK INTERACTIVE .... they get a 10 for support, until my Glass Break issue and NOW they are more like a 6-7! I did my own research, and feel good about the rest of their system, and the New Honeywell 5853 Glass Breaks. read more

horrible company. bad customer service. they are all a bunch of liars so beware. operations manager debbie elliot processed a payment using my debit card on april 6th 2018 (which i authorized that one time payment in the amount of $69.98 in order to bring the account current over the phone in agreement on a recorded link interactive line that i would only process a payment if a proper document was emailed to me stating that i did not put my account on autodraft when i made my february 2018 payment using bank account ending in **** in order for me to get the overdraft fees my bank charged for the account ending in **** being auto drafted without my consent in april 2018. on that recorded phone call it was stated and agreed to that the payment would not be processed until the bank account ending in **** was deleted off file (which debbie reassured me that the account was deleted while i was on the phone) and after the letter was emailed out to me later that evening before 2pm because i refused to pay my bank over $100 in nsf fees and pay link interactive $70 also when they were the cause of those nsf fees. instead of emailing me the letter first, "this email dated april 6th 2018 clearly states that the payment was already processed and the letter is attached". i did not have the opportunity to review the letter before the payment was processed as agreed. the emailed letter was not sufficient because it stated that i was unaware that i put my account on autodraft. i stated multiple times in that phone call that i did not put that account on autodraft i just made a one time payment. after reading the letter i contacted link interactive that same evening and spoke with shai and told her to cancel the pending april payment of $69.98 and delete my card information because that letter made it seem as though i put the account on autodraft when i did not. i also advised that the contract be canceled and they send it to collections because i refused to keep doing business with such a company. shai advised me that i would owe a fee for the remaining months and i told her i would like to sever ties between myself and link interactive effective immediately. instead of allowing the contract to be canceled upon request link interactive violated my rights and attempted to charge debit card **** and bank account **** for a may 2018 payment caused me more fees from both credit unions and other companies that i had pending payments being ach for that have declined due to link interactive's actions. i called numerous times on may 2nd to get the payment from card **** refunded back to me but i was met with excuses of how i set the card as auto pay (when in reality debbies email proves that i did not even put the card on file myself in april so she put the card on autopay without my knowledge when submitting the april payment). i spoke valerie and was met with excuses. i also spoke with a supervisor chris on may 2nd 2018 and he advised me (on a recorded line) that although i requested the contract be canceled it could not be canceled because it wasn't signed by just myself. i asked who else signed the agreement then. he state that by both myself and link interactive signing the agreement i am not allowed to just cancel. this is forced behavior on behalf of the company. link interactive is causing me excessive fees from numerous other merchants and this behavior is ridicilous and illegal. i have spoken with a lawyer and the company is indeed violating my rights to sever ties as previously requested on april 6th. i want the unauthorized payment debited from my debit card returned immediately and an emailed letter stating who put that card on autopay & that the bank account ending in **** was also ach without my authorization on april 6th 2018 after i was told the account was deleted from link interactives records. i requested that all forms of communication come only in the form of email so everything said can be documented and no more lies can be told on link's behalf. i also requested that i be mailed a copy of the recordings of each phone call i placed on april 6th 2018 and may 2nd 2018. read more

I recently switched from ADT to Link, primarily because the costs were going to be significantly less, and I was going to get greater functionality than my old ADT system provided. But after making the purchase I discovered that Link has fantastic customer service! The person I have dealt most with, Debbie, has been incredibly helpful, even offering to take my calls on Sunday, her day off, to try to help me with a tricky installation problem. When we couldn't get some of my old ADT sensors to switch over, she happily offered to accept a return of some of my unneeded equipment and credited me so that I could substitute those old sensors with new 2Gig wireless ones! So far, everyone I have dealt with at Link has been courteous, helpful and a pleasure to deal with -- a real rarity with over-the-telephone or internet businesses! I hope they are able to keep this level of service up as they grow. read more

We are retired and live in Florida. Citizens Insurance insisted we get home security or they would not renew our policy so I started searching for a home security company. I checked out 6 other well known companies and compared them all for what they offered, pricing, attitude of people I spoke with, helpfulness, etc. I asked a lot of questions. Some of the companies seemed to be impersonal and once they got my number, they had their telemarketers keep calling. When I spoke to the people at Link Home Security, it was a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE. Misti in sales patiently helped me select the best options for my needs, their plans and technology were better and cheaper than ALL the others, their tech people helped me set everything up and were so patient even when my questions seemed silly and they never made me feel I was bothering them. Everyone I dealt with was so helpful and courteous, even after I made my purchase, that I could hardly believe there were still companies like this around. This company is OUTSTANDING and their employees are ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! In my opinion, they are one of the best companies I've ever dealt with and I recommend them without reservation. read more

purchased a new home with an alarm system installed but not active. I contacted the service and spoke to a rep that walked me thru the system and found that it was an older model. He gave me a quote for a replacement card that was needed to active the system and also advised me of the other higher priced systems that would work better in my home, but did not try to sale me anything (just information and education). He asked that I send in my old system for the upgrade, upon my system arriving at the facility it was found that my old system was no longer viable in my area and offered to upgrade it for free. From the time that I sent the system off to it returning to me was about a week total, and I am very pleased with my new system. The service rep was wonderful and did not attempt to push anything on me that I did not want or need. Great company that stands by their work and promises. I would highly recommend Link Interactive System for your home security. read more
