The gentlemen that work there now are very knowledgeable and helpful. However, I purchased several bottles of wine and then asked if I wanted a bag for $.25! There is no parking basically and they wanted me to carry out three bottles of wine down the street to my car! Bottles are not like groceries you need a bag to support and divide the bottles! The bags are their advertisement, why charge for them? I asked to speak to the owner as I think it's poor business practice; work a bag cost into your pricing or give a bag free with more than two bottles, but he was "too busy" to speak with me! Parking is tough in the area especially on a Sunday during brunch hours. Good selection of items. Friendly checkout service. Got what I needed and prices weren't too bad considering the location of the store. If you can find parking you can walk around the area since it is nice. read more

Very reasonable selection of wines and liquors including a lot of Asian liquors (in Fort Lee, that's a must), and prices were pretty fair, cheaper than some other shops I've gone to for liquor and wine. Nice selection of wine gift bags and a free area to wrap your wine in upfront if you need some wrapping paper for a gift. I didn't talk to anyone other than the person upfront at the cashier (store was a bit busy), but they were nice at the checkout. I will start off with it was a 10 hands down until ...I have been patronizing this business since 2021 and I have never experienced the treatment that I received on Saturday evening October 5th ,disgusting.I was leaving work and before I turned in I decided to to stop by for a bottle of wine. , as I'm paying for my wine , Im on a call with my close friend discussing plans,the call drops.I held my hand out for my change and was thrown back on how she handed it over,I spoke to her about it and as I'm leaving she says to me how she didn't like how I spoke about Spanish people, because she is Spanish...stopped me in my tracks , I turn around and ask her excuse me?It was at that moment I realized why she gave me my change the way she did. Lady ,why are you in my conversation,my friend is from DR invites my non spanish speaking self to alot of places where everyones first language is Spanish, and in our convo ,I was telling her that I didn't want to go if everyone was speaking Spanish,one,I'm not comfortable going if my friend has to let everyone know to try and speak more English because of me,because she will.I don't want people uncomfortable to make me comfortable...fast forward I wanted to speak to a manager, I was told there was none.I left very upset, my day was going great and to end it on a negative because of a new ,nasty disposition,nosey ,making assumptions cashier is not ok.I felt violated and insult to my integrity.I just said I will return on Monday.I leave and go to my friends place we live in the same building, her husband is from a Spanish speaking country as well and he also felt like she was giving racist energy because of his melanin.Today is Monday.I go back and the same lady smirked at me as Im looking for a familiar face.I find one and he was very dismissive as I tried to speak with him, he was telling me they are human being ... what does being a human being have to do with her actions ?He then says sometimes they are mean to us.Who is they ?They meaning the customers...I am not they,sir I was stopping by for a nice wine to wind down ,after a long day...minding my business,speaking to my friend ,Im speaking to you about what happened to me with the lady at checkout. The lady comes running over saying, I can no longer come in there because I made a scene,I said excuse me?I repeated I made a scene?The man I was speaking with said what he had to say and while trying to tell him my side , he could care less and got upset and escorted me out.It was giving racist energy, and it is unfortunate they allow the employees to treat the customers in this manner.If I could put zero stars I would most definitely.I work in customer service and Im big on holding people accountable for their actions. read more

The selection at this location is great. There are a lot of different types of alcohol and it carries some brands that most liquor stores don't carry (i.e. Bunnahabhain and some Japanese whiskies). You can also tell that the staff here is very knowledgeable about a wide variety of spirits, particularly bourbons and scotches. We didn't have as much time as we would have like to peruse. Linwood Wine Hudson Lights is literally the best liquor store I've been in. It is a one stop shop for all quality liquors. I've always been able to go into this store and find whatever I needed. The staff always greets me when I come in and they are very friendly. If I cannot find something I always know I can come here to find what I need. They have a large wine selection including a good amount of chilled wines for the immediate use. They have a good amount of craft beer and a variety of selections. More importantly to me, their whiskey/bourbon selection is pretty large and unconventional. I'm able to get my Japanese Whiskeys here and also I'm able to find something new I have not try. They have a lot high end bottles and I believe their prices aren't that bad. Linwood Wine will be my go to spot for good spirits selections. read more

Dont think ive ever reviewed a liquor store but this place deserves a review. Absolutely my fav in NJ. When i lived in NYC i would still come to this store for the fairly priced liquor and the exciting selection of beers. The owner or manager is super knowledgable about his inventory and always has some great information to offer on his selections. I had an amazing experience today at Linwood Wine Hudson Lights. This is my neighborhood liquor store and I dropped in just to browse. I asked a question to the clerk Elizabeth at the counter and she got the owner for me named Jake. He took a lot of time with me answered my questions and recommend a moderately price wine for me to try. I love frequenting local businesses. And now that I know Jake I will definitely go back. Linwood Wine is a true gem. I recently held a meeting for all of the instructors from my yoga center in Teaneck, NJ. Due to the selrestrictions imposed by the current Covid-19 pandemic, I tasked Jake of Linwood Wines with the task of delivering wine and a "thank you" card to each instructor in towns across Bergen County and beyond. These guys are the best. First of all the store is gorgeous and has a huge selection of upscale wines and spirits. Their price was cheaper than most of the stores I called for a specialty tequila and I ended up buying $3000 worth of liquor for my wedding. How did they earn my business? This is my go to place for wine and liquor. First of all, the people that work there are extremely knowledgeable in the variety of beer, wine and liquor that is on display at their store. I often rely on them often for their thoughts on what I should try next. Secondly, the variety is just phenomenal!!! They are constantly changing up the variety of liquors which provides you the opportunity to dabble in a lot of different flavors. And they even have a ton of different beer. Additionally, they have tastings pretty much every weekend. They always get me with the tastings! Especially since the tastings are all items that are reasonably priced. For example, a couple of weeks ago, they had a rosé tasting. I love rosé and decided to have a taste. The rosé at their tasting became my favorite rosé and I purchase it every time I'm there. The best part, it's only $13 a bottle! Which leads me to my last point, their prices are reasonable. This is a great liquor place for those who just want to pick up a regular beer to those who want to try out of the ordinary liquor!!
