I stopped by to pick up some unique Asian groceries since I was in the area. It has most of the Asian brands that you can't find in a normal US supermarket, but the selection is smaller compare to other Asian supermarket chains in the area. The floor seems dirty and the smell is pretty strong. The clerk was a bit cold and didn't help me put my groceries into bags at all during check out. I will be hesitant to return.

Could be better but still love going here because it's the closest place to get a crazy variety of different asian stuff we grew up with. You'll find chinese stuff but also thai, philipino, vietnamese, korean, japanese, etc... they will carry a lot of snacks and brands you will only find at asian markets. We love the crazy amount of rice and noodles you can find and are always trying different brands. The vegetables and fruit section will have a bunch of stuff you can also find in asian markets as well. We also find stuff here like Sriracha where the packaging design and taste haven't changed at all in decades like oyster sauce, canned dace fish, etc... When you walk in during the morning there will be an incense smell and its pretty chilly near the back where the live fish are and the meat. We don't really get meat or fish here since the quality doesn't seem that great. The salmon we got one time didn't seem very good quality, the chicken we got for chicken soup seemed OK but the soup had way more yellow oil than chicken from other places.

Last week, I bought 2 markerels from this market. They looked good outside, but when I washed the fish, the meat loosened up and fell apart. I did not think of writing a review so I did not take a picture of them. I had to throw them away in concern of safety. 3 days ago, I bought a punch of green vegetables. Speechless when I opened it. Stuck in center are grass, dead/bruised/yellow leaves. Unbelievable. Like a joke. I feel cheated. Ruin my dinner plan.

Stopped by after lunch at Tung Kee. I was impressed with the selection of New Year's snacks and snacks in general. They had everything that a normal supermarket has. Produce, meat and seafood looked fresh. Their meat section was a little smaller than most stores. There's plenty of parking and the checkout process was quick and easy. Remember to bring your reusable bags since they'll charge you for them!

Price is higher, not as much stuff as before. Feel like a closing store. Will not recommend for grocery shopping.

They are starting to add more pastries and the displays are looking good, especially with the sesame buns and cheesy tarts, etc. I'm surprised that they are trying to beat pastry prices in the area and it's definitely looking good here. Decent prices and good looking pastries. Still feels like a startup though. Cashiers are training and doing their jobs. Hashi Market has been upgrading too. I purchased 3 large bags of dumplings for only $10. It was a good sale this weekend. Celery pork/leek-scallions pork/cilantro chicken/etc. I think their fresh vegetables have dropped in prices too ($1.49-$2.99 per lbs.). Finally. I come here for tofu selections too. You can also find good 1liter healthy coconut water for under $3 each now. Hashi Market is slowly improving and training more new employees inside. This grocery store is convenient and they have made the aisles more spacious to walk around. Food deli area is still operating. I think the place is much better now compared to when it was the Marina grocery store in past years. Japanese products are showing up more and things are more positive here. I'll be back to try a few more breads/buns. $1.99 for good looking breads is cheap and decent here.

I have had to go to Fremont to Osaka Market, or to Mitsuwa on Saratoga Ave, or to Nijiya or even Sakura in downtown SJ. We have many Chinese-Vietnamese Asian markets nearby Milpitas. I, along with a few of my neighbors are hoping that Hashi goes forward with the conversion to carry more Japanese items and bentos at Marina. Disappointing.

We really enjoyed the cheese, meat was decent, and spinach was good as well. As soon as you walk into the store, you smell the fatayer which was very nice. Because you can't get freshly baked Middle Eastern / Levantine pastries just anywhere in the Bay! If you've been to a Yemeni coffeeshop in the Bay Area, especially if it's in the East Bay, you might have seen this bakery's fatayer and manakeesh sold there since they supply a bunch of the coffeeshops. They bake all day and you can stop by at any given time and find freshly made pastries sitting on the table by the bakery section. In terms of selection, they generally have different types of fatayer (spinach, beef, chicken, cheese, more recently potato), manakeesh, lahm bi ajeen (soft flatbreads with a meat and tomato mixture on top), and chicken musakhan rolls. They don't always have every item available but they'll let you know what's in the oven. The pastries are 6 for $15 currently. They freeze well too. I've been here often and the customer service has always been friendly.

My first delivery of Weee! goodies arrived today! I love shopping at my local Asian stores, but it is SO NICE AND CONVENIENT to order all varieties of Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Philippine, Japanese, Turkish, Malay, Korean and some unusual American protein-rich insect products from Don Bugito of San Mateo, CA - a product Tina reviewed which initially caught my eye! - in ONE SPOT and have them deliver to my door and on time to what they promised. I also tend to take a loooong a$$ time in Asian markets, studying every little thing! Which occasionally raises some eyebrows from security. LOL Online at sayweee.com, I can take my time and peruse many items. I can even add to my delivery up to 4 hours before it ships. That may be because they have a SoCal distribution center, idk. Everything came packaged and secured beautifully. Dry separate from frozen and frozen in a reusable thermal bag w/2 large frozen ice blocks. The packages themselves felt cool to the touch, so the driver must also have a cooling box for delivery. The driver was in their personal vehicle, and followed my instructions to place on the porch directly. As soon as they did, I received my alert that the packages were delivered. I also appreciate that I was able to tip the driver through my order. I used my first time buyer $10 coupon for this order and also received free delivery for spending over $49. My first time purchase included a complimentary shopping bag, but since my order was over $69, I received a second - different- complimentary shopping bag. Both bags are perfect for grocery shopping and so cute! Happy Anniversary Weee! I signed up to the Weee! rewards points program and have another $10 coupon awaiting. I've heard the produce is really fresh, so I'll try that next week and update review/photos when I get my 2nd order. Very excited to have this helpful resource. Cheers! "CC"
