Amazing where has this place been all my life? I got 3 curries and a soup, rice, and ice cream. They are all tasting absolutely amazing! The guy in the food court was extremely helpful. Giving me good tips on what keeps well and for how long and what goes well with what. Definitely recommend the food court and this neat grocery store. I'll be back ! read more

They never display the prices of most items as required by law. You just take it to the counter and they charge whatever they want. Stay away. read more

Trinethra Indian Market looks like a medium sized market, not a "Super". goods neatly stocked in labeled sections. every item looks priced. parking in area not abundant. did get a parking space in front. buys: "mirch masala" channa dal, 2,29, 14 oz. -fried spicy split garbanzo bean snacks, made in u.s.a. -tasted fresh, didn't see sell by date. obviously coded. take outs: -was offered assistance when browsing, didn't need it. found item by looking at signs. -not a consistent shopper, wouldn't know if prices are reasonable. -parking may be an issue at peak hours. read more

The store is alright, not what it used to be. More importantly, beware of a Hindi speaking cashier, a big guy who is pretty discourteous and a cheat. He charged us for an extra item when we visited a day before and when asked wouldn't agree and started cooking up stories. I would double check all items he's ringing up, not sure how many others have been cheated by him. Not going back to that store ever again! read more

Nothing wrong with the supermarket part.:) Selections are great. But make sure you get some ear protection. They're blasting loud music all over the store. I don't think that is good with anyone's hearing. And no I didn't bother to tell the clerk or owners. Just wanted to warn the shoppers to this wonderful store. read more

Are you looking for a clean Indian grocery store? This is the place that you need to try! They are CLEAN, than most of the other Indian groceries. The aisles are very neatly organized. They also started serving Halal meat recently. They have a good selection of fresh veggies. Thumbs up for the very friendly cashiers!! read more

Something I noticed in this grocery store is they don't have prices tagged on many items on the shelf. So I was here to grab few vegetables other day. They markup a cauliflower to $5.49!! and the vegetable was rotten at few places. I was in Safeway yesterday. A much better quality cauliflower barely costing me $3 at Safeway.. go figure.. read more

Such a well-organized and clean store staffed by friendly people. There's a great variety of veggies both fresh and frozen, many types of rice and lentils, plus all of the great spices you love! We purchase some delicious things but we'll be back to pick up more along with a box or two of incense. read more

The store is well organized and well maintained. They have a wide selection of fresh produce, spices, dry foods, prepackaged foods, religious supplies. Prices are clearly marked. The sales staff is courteous and helpful. Overall the prices are higher than I would expect for a grocery store in Newark/Fremont since there are so many other stores nearby. I probably will look for a better deal on the same staples such as lentils, spices, etc. read more

Not going here again ! They literally cry and argue when you try to return stuff that is expired or spoiled. We buy every week $100 worth of stuff here and the products expire way before the dates. The owner should tell the employees who work there to accept the returns with a little smile.i thought these guys are doing good but they are actually losing the valuable customers. The employees who work there feel like they freaking own the store and behaves bad. Going back to my old India bazar from now on. Good bye! read more

I just went to one of your stores in Newark, CA today (39207 Cedar Blvd, Newark, CA 94560) at ~5 PM (PST) 09/23/2018. While at the store we purchased one of the products "Savorit" Vermicelli that had a buy 1 get 1 free. The cashier failed to honor the deal when I questioned it, he said that the deal was only valid in India and is not valid in USA. Upon closer observation, I noticed a sign that said: "AKSHAR SALES, U.S.A BUY 1 GET 1 FREE". I believe this sign states that that the deal should be honored in the USA and by failing to do so you are cheating the customers. In addition to this if a deal is advertised on a product it should be the responsibility of the supplier to honor it regardless of the location being sold from. If you don't intend on honoring a deal that is not applicable in the USA then you should import product with export packaging. Based on recent feedback from the Thrinethra Group, these guys are not associated with Thrinethra, they are just using the name. So just watch out, it's not the same as the other Thrinethra stores. read more

This spot is awesome. This is pure Indian and offers also Halal meats. Not only that, authentic herbs and spices. Even has Indian ice cream! Prices are awesome! Very cheap. A variety of different foods available The guys that were there today, were helpful. read more

We moved to Newark recently and found this Indian grocery store close by. It's very clean and less crowded compared to India Cash and Carry/New India Bazaar. The vegetables here are fresh and the prices are relatively same as other Indian groceries. It's spacious and well organized. Con: They don't have prices displayed for all the items. You if are in hurry and don't want to be part of huge crowd in grocery stores during weekends, this is the right place. read more

I was skeptical of all of the glistening reviews of this supermarket - I mean, how clean could an Indian store really be? Well, this place is definitely spic and span! What a great alternative to my usual India Cash & Carry experience. This store is definitely cleaner, less chaotic, the prices seem to be on par, the veggies look much more appealing and fresh, and they have a selection of South Indian brands not carried at other stores. This is my family's go-to Indian grocery store. Hands down WAY better than the nearby Indian Cash & Carry. It's never too crowded. The inventory is up to date. The place is VERY well maintained and organized. It is ALWAYS clean. Produce is generally fresh and the items are not overly priced. The cashiers and management are very friendly and the service is fast! I have never had to wait in a long line, let alone stand in any line for more than a couple minutes. This is as good as an Indian grocery store gets. read more

Went there yesterday and the owner was coughing without wearing a mask. Becareful! He doesn't care about his customer's well being.

Used to frequent this place - everything was good. Until recently noticed a cashier continuously scratching his butt (!!) and handling food stuff (including fresh vegetables) with the same hand. Not a casual scratch - this was a deep (ugh!), face wincing scratch. I looked at him with a disgusted look, he continued to load and pack someone's veggies completely unmindful of what happened. Bought four "Alphonso" mangoes for $16. Later found out that all of them were 1) not "Alphonso", 2) rotten. Went to the store to report this. They pointed me to the board near mango counter which said "no returns on mangoes". Interestingly, the board was not there when I bought the mangoes. So, I guess there business model is pretty straightforward. Make money by selling rotten stuff and don't take the items back. Will never ever go to this place. Very decent place. They normally do have almost all vegetables and Indian groceries. Noticed that they do have Sri Lankan food items as well. This is one place where they break the coconut you pick and allow to take another if its not good. They haven't displayed the prices anywhere, always felt the prices are bit high comparing to the other Indian stores. Less crowded place even during weekend. Watch out for the expired products. Accept credit/debit cards. Parking can be cumbersome especially in the evening time. read more

This store is very conveniently located for me, but yikes! - veggies are NEVER fresh (i've tried different days) - Ganesh idli batter had gone bad with a strand of hair in it (though date was still OK) - Berkeley milk had gone bad (on a different purchase than idli batter) After several trials of different products, I decided to rather drive a mile more to India Cash and Carry or Bharat Bazaar. read more

This is the Coconut Hill chain under new management. Coconut Hill used to fill a niche dedicating some shelf space to Kerala groceries. New owners said they would keep it up, but in recent visits, i see them just working down the old inventory. Looking more and more like any other Indian grocery store - for which I have options closer to home and possibly cheaper. The last couple of times, these people went over and above the normal levels of customer service, once by allowing me to pay later, since I had forgotten my card, and the other time, by asking if they could help deliver a couple of products which I bought from the store, but had accidentally left behind. Besides, this is the only place, where even cut vegetables are super fresh. If this is not enough, the store has the stamp of approval from my mother, who has pretty high standards, when it comes to, from where she shops her groceries. So bringing this place back to 5 - that is where it really belongs! read more

Overcharged for items. My son accidentally knocked over a small sev and the cashier made it a point to say that he had not charged for it. Coming home found that he had doubled the quantity of a more expensive item. read more

Go there if you want fresh vegetables. Only place in Fremont where I can get Kerala recipe specific items. Also well arranged :)
