This is a fast food chain found only in Missouri and Kansas. I wanted St Louis Barbecue but was driving and wanted to get out of St Louis metro. The food signs on highway had a photo of Lions Choice Roast Beef. This was a couple miles from highway and Google mapped it to see if I missed it or not. Ordered Triple Threat, a sandwich with turkey, ham, cheese and roast beef on Texas Toast. It was really good. Tried my dad's fries. Also good, ordered a small chocolate dipped cone and custard. Both really good. Very short staffed as there was one counter order taker who multitasked by taking orders, wiping trays and making ice cream. A chain that was better than Arby's. Definitely not better than Arby's. My husband is from St. Louis and said this place was amazing but it was a huge disappointment. I could see how as a child he probably loved it with their au jous, pickle bar and other accoutrements but that is a time long past. Now, meager sandwiches with minimal chewy/fatty meat. Placed an online order @ the Wentzville location with a future pick up time 90 min out. The plus side of this experience: there was a bag with a receipt with my name attached ready at the time of pick up. The negative side of this experience: as you can see there was a scoop of leftover elbow macaroni noodle that did not even cover the bottom of the cup covered with invisible cheese sauce ( do you see it?) The takeaway: do not use lions choice for your mac n cheese needs or as part of a Gift A Meal program. read more

I was actually craving Lion's Choice on our drive, and this stop disappointed me. The ordering process was clunky, but she ended up getting the order correct and eventually, we did get everything we ordered. My sandwich just didn't taste quite like it usually does, don't really know what they did differently. We did get a free small Oreo blizzard as a birthday reward. That was a nice treat since neither of us had ever tried one. We both enjoyed it and would order one again. read more

How does this place only have ?!?! That's mind boggling. I used to eat here a minimum of 4x per week, and still frequent them when they're accessible. Best food you can get through a window, and healthier than most others. Their fries are near the top of my list, which fries are my all-time favorite food. If you're claiming to pride yourself on meats, then they're the vessel that can carry sauce, versus chutney -- which is the vessel for various foods to be dipped, because it's the focus. Food was ok. I like lions choice. It's the restaurant itself that's bad. Dining room was dirty. Food on the floor, paper napkins and straws on the floor. There was a French fry dipped in catsup among other food scraps on the floor. The ceiling is disgusting. The HVAC vent in the ceiling is full of fuzz. Tables were not cleaned. The opening to the trash cans was filthy. Update. Ceiling has been cleaned. Vents are fuzz free. Floor was cleaner than last time. read more

I'm a little disappointed. The new, or newer Italian beef was so so... Some of the beef was to tough to chew. There large French fry used to be enough for my wife and I, now it's not. I also had a second sandwich a regular roast beef with Swiss I was actually disappointed. I've been coming here for years and never been disappointed. it's been months since I've been to this location, I'm frankly disappointed I'm not sure if ill be back in the near future. read more

Horrible Lions choice! The place smelled bad. The counters and floors were sticky. Our "to go" order came out on a tray and when the rude, scowling lady dumped our order into the smallest bag they have , with half of our large fry spilling out. When we said we would like all of our large orders of fries we got a very dirty look. Condiments and sauces we spilled and smeared everywhere, out of napkins. I could not rate this as a zero or I would. Yes it is THAT good! -sarcastic eye roll- Stopped in for one of their small sized ice cream cones. I enjoy these at many of the locations as they are just the right size....until tonight. Ordered and then pulled around to the window. the person making them was holding two of the saddest Charlie Brown ice cream cones I have ever seen. Normally they have a good 2-3inches of ice cream above the cone. These had maybe, maybe an inch and it was melting before she left the machine and drooping over the cone. I told her I was not going to take them and she tried to stare me down. THAT annoyed me to the point of writing this review. I will not visit that store again and will encourage all I know to avoid it as well, especially since from reading the other reviews I am not the only one receiving sub par product. Corporate or the franchisee could do with better equipment and staff at this location. read more

Ok, so I've never even heard of this place, but someone told me that they were suppose to have the best roast beef sandwiches....even better than Arby's. What a letdown. Well we went through the drive thru thinking that this would be faster....we were so wrong. Maybe spent about 10 minutes at the window waiting for 5 regular old roast beef sandwiches. And when I finally got my sandwich.....I was sad...because it just looked sad. The meat inside just looked dry and the overall sandwich looked like it was deflated and sad. Arby's is definitely better...the meat is more juicy and has a better flavor....Lions Choice just tasted dry and sad.....yuck! And it stunk waiting at the window for 10 minutes when there was no one inside the restaurant. Just go get some White Castle burgers down the street! Pros: - it looked like it was in a good neighborhood Cons: - Poor service through the drive thru window.....just too dang long when there was no one else there and it was like 3pm - meat was just dry and tasteless...yuck! - expensive....the plain roast beef sandwich that I got was $3.....and it was terrible Why I gave it a 1..... For those considering the Lions Choice in Wentzville, be prepared for nose snot whipped on "sterile gloves" to be an added condiment. Watched, what I thought was a line cook but turned out to be the general manager, make sandwiches after whipping her nose with her sterile gloves on. As a general manager she should have definitely known better. To top it off I was the one in the wrong for pointing out such a gross act. My advice is to go elsewhere. read more

Well I was coming here about 4 times a week just to get some broccoli soup and sandwiches for my family of 5. On our last order, we received broccoli soup that apparently had been reheated from the day before or burnt by an employee. This franchise is very clean. Mostly the same staff since they opened. They've never gotten my order wrong and it's a pretty picky one!
