Their mechanic is less than competent!

After AAA shafted me ("Oh it's not an emergency and we're only doing tows for emergencies right…read morenow"), and the first place I called this morning estimated 60-90 minutes but hadn't shown up 3+ hours later, I gave these guys a call. First impression: the lady answering the phone is clearly used to talking to customers and knows how to make one feel like they're going to be taken care of. As opposed to Other Shop #1, where I came away without much confidence that I was even in their system to be picked up. Second impression: After the initial ETA was estimated at 60-90 minutes, the truck showed up within less than 30. Third impression: The driver, Dustin, was friendly and professional. Start to finish, a good experience all around. In summary: I wish I'd called these guys first! Ideally I won't need their services in the future, but if I do, I know who to call now.

Horrible experience! Horrible customer experience via the manager Tim. My young daughter's car was…read morerunning hot, so we took it into Tim at Goodyear/Nebraska land Tire/Colorado land Tire . They said it was the thermostat which we had suspected, paid them to replace it and they sent us on our way. The day after we had gotten the car back, it overheated on my daughter. We took it back and they said that it must've been a faulty thermostat and said they replaced it again and sent us on our way the second time. Again, it overheated. Took the vehicle into another shop and they confirmed a bad thermostat after we had already paid to have it replaced by Tim and gave him the vehicle 3 times to fix it. Tim then proceeded to tell us it wasn't the thermostat after all, we needed the water pump replaced. This is a newer Ford Explorer, not hard to diagnose, yet they somehow missed the "correct" diagnosis the few times. Bad mouthed the other shop. Tim also needs to understand that customers in his shop can overhear him cussing and badmouthing customers when he is on the phone. Will be contacting Better Business Bureau, but hoping to save others from this frustration and loss of money.

After calling several auto care shops in frustration, Paul and his team at Holiday Auto Care enthusiastically asked me to come on in so they could take care of my license plate dilemma (for free!). I have been coming here for my routine service ever since. I have been coming to Holiday Auto Care for a few years now and am really comfortable with the level of service and prices! I am the perfect candidate for any car-related business that wants to rip off a customer; I admittedly do not know much about cars, and it shows. I am guilty of the "call dad to ask if something sounds reasonable or if I am being ripped off, then call the shop back to approve or push back" pattern whenever I get a quote for any form of service. That being said, at Holiday Auto Care, I have never felt ripped off or like my lack of knowledge is being taken advantage of. Paul and his team are always upfront with pricing and are honest in explaining which services are more urgent versus which can wait until the next service appointment. I also really appreciate the emphasis they place on overall vehicle safety. I feel confident in the mechanics here and get a sense of peace of mind since so many of the services come with warranties. Holiday Auto Care also offers a AAA discount on labor, typically has some coupons/specials on their website, and sends out promotions via post cards and emails. The discounts can make a significant difference when applied toward expensive services. The shop is no longer as convenient for me as it was when I first started coming here, but I will continue to come back for the service and fairness!

Thanks to Charles at Service Street for identifying the issue with a physical inspection and test drive: a faulty lower pan gasket that had been replaced just a few months prior by my former auto repair shop and the rattle on acceleration from the exhaust manifold that was not torqued correctly. Charles also suggested that the repair should still be under warranty. And he was correct on all accounts: the former repair shop replaced the pan gasket and properly torqued the exhaust manifold at no cost. No more leaks. No more rattle. Thanks to Service Street & especially Charles. They saved me hundreds of $$.

We Took in a 2019 Subaru in which they got too much water on the passenger seat causing the air bag light to come on. Called them to let them know and they responded that the air bag light should go off in a few days. It did not. Took it in to the dealer for oil change and they took a look and explained it pretty much hurt the seat heater etc,,, $1,400 to fix the seat with Subaru parts. Researched it, talked to an independent mechanic and they also confirmed the costs and damage ran around $1,400. Talked to Chad the Manager at Finishing Glo who told me they have family who could have fixed it for $500. So be aware---if they do anything to your car while in their care they might fix it, but only in house. Talked with them 3 times and in the end no reimbursement, only in house credit, and he told me "you know nothing about cars". Not a way to treat customers. Car had under 30,000 miles on it, so I only want the same parts that were on it when I brought it in. But what do I know, "since I know nothing about cars." Same must apply to the independent mechanic and Subaru who looked at it. I know where NOT to take my car to be detailed. Expensive lesson. Hope this helps those looking to detail their car.

I'm fairly knowledgeable about cars and do most of my own work but this issue with the car left me and obviously "Nick" dumbfounded even though he'll boast about spending sooo much time on it -Thats nice bud, car still isn't fixed- and the shop kept whining about the "aftermarket" parts I installed even though they are pretty much the equivalent but didn't bother listening to what all I've done and ruled out, so after I had reached out to get an update they said my aftermarket fuel pressure sensor wasn't putting out the exact OEM pressure and wanted to replace it with an overpriced OEM one (mind you I already replaced it when I pulled the rails and injectors) but like an idiot who just wanted my car to work I said yes not knowing they over charge out the rear for labor, 2.6 hours to take a manifold off? and 455$ to do it? that's insane and guess what? it didn't fix anything, so I had a super unpleasant call with I guess is his wife I wasn't pleasant but I wasn't rude either her on the other hand? Jesus, like lady you people have had my car for a full two weeks and I've had to do all the reaching out and the car isn't fixed, but here's the kicker when she gave me the total I was awestruck so I mentioned I was gonna dispute that with Nick so she blew up on the phone (super unprofessional) seems like they've been down this road before.
