What an experience! Lips Atlanta is pretty much an institution and 100% worth the visit. Make your reservations online; depending on the evening, it can be PACKED! Point of notice: It's a three-course menu that comes with a Caesar salad, a main course, and a mini dessert. I ordered the enormous pork chop. And it was so soft and delicious. I was pleasantly surprised because I didn't expect 5-star meals at a drag show; however, it was pretty close. The chop was HUGE, and the mac & cheese was so tasty. The price of the meal is about $50, which includes the "ticket" for the shower, but it doesn't include tips for the dancers. If you didn't bring cash to tip the drag queens, there is an ATM, and someone walks around before the show to ensure you're able to tip the queens. The performances are fun, and the energy is high. You'll see a lot of birthdays, a ton of bachelorettes, and a bunch of annoyed drag queens who are a little bothered by both, but in the best way possible. Hands down the best drag show I've ever been to, and that's saying a lot because I'm from LA. These performers give it their ALL--talent, energy, looks, everything. We literally stumbled upon Diva Royale after eating next door at ROC Southern Cuisine (which you have to try too). We looked up LIPS out of curiosity, saw they had a brunch show, and decided to go the next day. Best decision ever. The brunch was amazing--delicious food, large portions, and an incredible show. I loved it so much that we came back the SAME NIGHT for dinner. One of the queens even said, "Weren't you here earlier?" Yes... yes we were because it was that good. Dinner was just as fantastic, the show was nonstop fun, and the energy was unmatched. I love drag shows and I love supporting this art form, and LIPS does it right. Lips is always a fun time for drag brunch. We come here at least once a year for a friends birthday. The talent never disappoints. Funny host, amazing dances and lip singing. The ambiance is great, lights are dim for most of the show until the end. Food was really good. So many new items on the menu from last year, they start with pastry baskets and pitchers of bottomless mimosas...because the more you drink the prettier the ladies get (there words....not mine..lol). You can also get botomless bloddy marys. The food selection was a long list so there should be something for everyone. They do make change for you for tipping and, there is an ATM in the building. My spouse and I went on a Thursday, but on the weekends I imagine it gets pretty packed and you might need to park somewhere nearby. Venue and Atmosphere It looks exactly as you'd expect a drag venue to look: bright decor, campy props, and lots of glitter everywhere. There is plenty of seating for large and small parties, and bathrooms are clean. Service The staff are all in drag, except for the bus boys and the bartender. The queens put on a fabulous show. Our host, Brigitte Bidet, kept us laughing with her witty jokes and epic performances. Out waitress, Ivana, was gorgeous and very talented. The queens will take your order between performances, and your drinks will never run dry. A 20% gratuity is added to all orders, but don't forget to tip with singles for a great show! Food and Beverages The $5 peach margarita was tasty, but it'll knock you flat if you're not careful. The food was decent. Nothing to write home about, but my fried chicken was well fried and seasoned, and the mashed potatoes weren't from a box. My spouse had the fried catfish and grits; the fish was seasoned and fried well, but the étouffée and grits lacked any and all flavor. I went here for a friend's birthday and had a time. Upon entrance, we were given mimosas and greeted with all smiles. The decor was different, but well put together. On to time the food. I had an omelette, my friend had shrimp and grits, and someone else in the party had the pancakes. I enjoyed my omelette, which came with potatoes. It was well seasoned. Lips' drag brunch was my first time going to a drag show of any kind and I was blown away by just how much fun it was. The venue was louder than I anticipated so I would advise those with sensitive ears to bring noise cancelling earbuds, but the queens were fantastic at pumping up the crowd and making the whole show feel like one big party. The queens were all very funny, too, and crazy quick-witted when it came to improv with the audience. Coming from a deeply conservative, tiny town in Tennessee where I have to stay closeted, getting to experience a space where everyone was so loudly and proudly queer made me unexpectedly emotional. I think if I hadn't been so focused on laughing and admiring the talent, I might have cried into my vegetable curry. Speaking of curry, the food was pretty good. Unfortunately my order was soupier and not quite as flavorful as I had anticipated, but it was still delicious and my friend who got the chicken and waffles seemed to really like her meal. The mini muffins dusted with powdered sugar that they brought out before the main course were incredible, and servers were very attentive and lovely. Overall, the venue was clean, had a really fun vibe with great decorations, full of friendly staff, great entertainment, and definitely a place I would go back to if I visit Atlanta again. When my best friend said that she wanted to go to a drag brunch during her bachelorette party I knew I had to ask around to find the best one in the area. Everybody I know who lives in ATL told me that Lips was thee place to go, and they were all right! I booked the bachelorette party special which came with a crown from the bachelorette and a special shot to share on stage with the host. What I love about this place is that all the employees I saw were drag queens. They were both the servers and the performers, and I love that patronizing here means supporting a fully LGBTQ+ staff. The brunch was pretty good, not the best I ever had, but pretty tasty when compared to other Drag Brunch venues I've been to in the past. The show itself was entertaining, the girls were on it during every number, and the host, the legendary Charlie Brown was a Riot from start to end. My best friend also got a moment on stage to announce her engagement before taking her shot and she had the time of her life! I'm so glad we were able to see Charlie Brown's brilliance on stage in person before she passed away this year. All in all, Lips really lived up to the hype of being the best spot for Drag Brunch in ATL. read more

The experience was phenomenal. I've lived here my whole life, and I can't believe it took this long to go. The food wasn't too terrible. It was pretty good to my surprise. For places like this, I expected the show to be the shining moment with food being the extra. I ordered the southern fried catfish. The fried catfish was, well, fried. Most fried things taste the same, but this version was good. The batter on the fish was super thin so at least I was able to taste the fish and not so so much thick batter. It was tasty overall. The crawfish and shrimp etouffee definitely added nice flavors over the white grits. The textures and flavor profile of this pick was satisfactory in my stomach. :) Our server was great. She had a great attitude and always a smile on. So of course tip her when she's lip synching for ya! Lips also does a nice on stage shout out for birthday ladies and gents. There's also the bachelorettes. Oh. There was also a new divorced lady with all smiles and proud of it! You go girl! The only thing I didn't like is how you can't split the check. Not great with a party of like 20 people ordering random things. Parking wasn't too terrible, but I think with a place like this and the crowd, car pooling is a better option. I was in Atlanta for a girls weekend, and wrapping it up with a drag brunch sounded fun. I was impressed with how great of an experience this was. Had an 11:30 reservation, got there 15 minutes prior, just in time for the doors to open. We were quick to go in, and they had mimosas ready as we walked in on the way to our table. Food was pretty good, I had the crab cake benedict, which seemed to have been sitting for some time but was still very tasty. My friends had the chicken and waffles, and the french toast, and raved about it. Mimosas and bloody marys kept coming, and we had plenty of water the whole time. We were celebrating a birthday, which was acknowledged, and my friend even got a little cake and picture up front. The venue is beautiful, and the artists were amazing. The pricing is fair for $39 a person to get a salad, entree, dessert, a drag show, and drag bingo. The drinks are expensive, but you can keep the lips shaped shot glass. This was me and my boyfriend 1st experience at a drag show and Lips Atlanta didn't disappoint. Our waitress Meetya was so exciting, fun and energetic to have at our table. Each performers had their own and unique style of excitement which some was fun that you had customers joining in and others were good, but could've been better. The food was ok. They started us out with mini blueberry muffins and had a pitcher of mimosa for your party to share, plus unlimited Bloody Mary. My boyfriend ordered the Blowjob shot and I tried some which I can say had the right amount of alcohol. FYI, they're not stingy on the alcohol. Like I mentioned, the food was ok. I had the Crab Benedict with sautéed diced potatoes and my boyfriend had the Jamaican vegetable curry. We both agree the food wasn't hot as we would have like, but you really pay more for the entertainment instead of the food. The floor space on the stage level is so cramped, everyone has a hard time getting to tables. Pro formers for tips, waiters to deliver food. Entertainment- they work their asses off. Even with that said, it is predictable. Many of the jokes and songs have been seen and done before. Again. This is an experience. Atmosphere, decent enough food. Drink before showing up.
