As a brown skin local I felt invisible. First time ever feeling like that in the place that my family is 4 generations deep. If you're local stay away from this place. Mana has a 'ton of healthy food options' and the hot food bar is superb; many organic selections, killer soups, sandwiches, steamed veges, etc. The hot food bar is hands-down way superior than Whole Foods. There is plenty of 'scan to park' spots available in Paia and it may be important to note that there is not a lot of places to sit down and eat your food if you purchase food to go... you kinda have to find a shady curb somewhere to sit down and eat. I think Mana in Paia is well worth a slight detour.

The noodles are made on the rock in Paia. I haven't been to the factory, but you can find their single-brand noodles in the local markets such as Foodland and Ah Fook. They're sold in 24-oz bags, dashi not included, which yields a huge portion. They cook out fairly straight and don't become curly. The secret to a great noodle dish is to not overcook the noodles! Find your favorite recipe, use Iwamoto noodles, and enjoy.
