Beware, sleazy dealership! My Cadillac lease is coming to an end and saw an ad on their website which I thought would be a guy buy. However, this dealer tried to illegally take me through the cleaners by violating Florida Statute 501.976. This statue states that the advertised price must include all preparation charges and mandatory fees. As seen on the as the vehicle is $24,939, however on the sheet given to me they told me I must pay the PDI and recondition fee which makes the actual price $29,219. This is a 20% increase of what is advertised... I told the sales guy I am NOT going to buy this and tried to get me into something "more in my budget" - not realizing what my actual budget is (not that it matters as I'm not dumb and would buy a different car from them). He then followed me to my car and stated "it's part of the buying game". I rolled my eyes. My previous cars which is a Tesla and most recent which is a Cadillac I NEVER had this issue. I purchased a used Camry from AutoNation and there was NO sleazy moves. I paid the advertised price on their site plus their doc fee. Luckily I work in finance/accounting, so I know numbers. Unfortunately not many people are good with numbers and may overlook this. I want to share my experience so others can make an informed decision before bringing their vehicle here. This dealership is independently owned and, unfortunately, does not uphold the level of customer service or professionalism typically associated with the Toyota brand. I initially brought my car in for a diagnostic, paying a $185 fee with the understanding--clearly stated by the service representative--that this fee would be applied toward the repair if I chose to move forward. I agreed. I was told the diagnostic would be completed the same day, but I received no update or communication. I had to call myself, only to be told the service department was already closed and no information was available. Since they are closed on Sundays, I had to wait until Monday to get any update--again, only after reaching out myself. After finally receiving the diagnostic results, I approved the repair. I was told parts needed to be ordered and that I could pick up my car and return once they arrived. Once again, I received no communication when the parts came in--I had to call, only to learn they had been sitting there for three days. I dropped my car off for repair, and after two days with no update, I contacted the dealership yet again. I was then told my service advisor had been off since the day I dropped off the vehicle, and there were no notes or updates in the system for anyone else to assist me. I was told to wait until he returned. When I finally spoke with him, I was informed--after all this time and inconvenience--that they could not complete the repair due to my car having a body kit. This was extremely frustrating, as the dealership had already seen my vehicle in person during the diagnostic and I had disclosed all modifications upfront. To make matters worse, I was also told they had ordered the wrong parts. Given the circumstances, I requested a refund, especially since the diagnostic fee was only agreed upon because it would be applied to the repair. However, the service manager, Andrew, stated that while they would refund the parts "as a courtesy," they would not refund the $185 diagnostic fee--despite their inability to complete the repair and the significant lack of communication and service throughout the process. Because they refused to complete the repair, I now have to take my vehicle elsewhere and pay for another diagnostic, as most shops will not rely on a previous one. Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing--marked by poor communication, lack of accountability, disorganization, and failure to honor what was initially agreed upon. I strongly recommend saving your time, money, and frustration by going elsewhere. UPDATE: I finally received a useless reply to my negative Google review from this company asking that I reach out to them. The reply leaves no name or number as to who to contact. I call Lipton Toyota directly to see who I need to speak with. The representative is clueless and puts me on hold to see who I would need to speak with as a disgruntled customer. Lol again another identifier showing the lack of knowledge from this staff. A simple 3-second google search provided me with the name of the young lady in charge of internet reviews (marketing). The rep finally comes back on the phone to advise that Jwan (internet director) is not at her desk and will call me back. I have yet to receive a call from Nelson Lopes (operations director of the service center) nor a follow-up call from Andy Gutierrez (service manager) who needs to be immediately removed from his position as he is a pathetic representative of the Toyota brand. I will continue to vocalize the mistreatment and unjust I have endured from this company until I receive my money I paid based on false pretenses. read more

I think I can deal with it which I thought I'd do good. Just bought a used 2023 Camry from Lipton Toyota. The staff was very friendly and low key - no pushy sales people or trying to get you in a car they want to sell. My sales rep was Wisler - he spent a good portion of the day letting me look at anything I wanted and filling me on the details until I settled on the Camry. Afterward we agreed on a price with the manager and finance guy - then switched my tag and insurance from my trade-in to the new car. Wisler hung around the whole time until I was finished so he could show me how everything in Camry worked - going over the bluetooth phone, radio, etc... A quick, but thorough explanation that he really didn't have to do even though it was closing in on 8pm by then and he probably have better things to do. Overall, a very pleasant car buying experience. Highly recommended! read more

BUYER BEWARE Horrible experience! Bought a pre-owned 2023 Toyota Tacoma. The salesmen, Frantz Dabel, tried charging over $1000 for a "reconciliation charge" which was a charge for cleaning the vehicle, amongst many other erroneous charges/fees he tried to add to the purchase price. Also withheld the car only came with one key. Once I purchased the truck told me a would have to purchase a second key for $400. After the sale Frantz never returned a call or showed any interest in attempting to help me get a second key. Two weeks later he cold called me asking me if I would like to come in a test drive the vehicle I had bought two weeks earlier. Informed him he sold me the car already and I wanted my second key. This place (as well as Toyota) is dishonest. They are the archetypal of using the warranty loopholes they created for themselves to cheat customers. I have a 2018 RAV4 with about 22k (due to the pandemic, not much driving in the past year). Then couple of days ago the driver side rear wheel stopped turning. I had the car towed to Lipton Toyota and the diagnosis is all four breaks have rusted and they are considered "normal wear and tear" and are not covered under even the standard 36k/3yr warranty. My car is just a month and half out of warranty. I knew they were cheating me because if you have a car sitting for a while, there will be rusts on the brake disks. Just look at the new cars at the dealer lots. My car sat in my garage for a week since the last time I drove it. The inside of the rim has a lot of grease accumulated on the rim wall. The other 3 wheels are clean and no grease. This indicates there is some kind of leak of brake fluids. But "wear and tear" is their diagnosis. I'm not an auto mechanic and I don't have the tools and equipment to dispute their diagnosis. Clearly they knew this warranty loophole and used it to swindle customers. I called Toyota and you can guess the response. They don't care about their reputation. Has anyone driven a car with such low mileage that needs to have 4 rusted brakes replaced? They knew if they found fault with the brake, then it would be hard for Toyota to not to compensate for the repair although it is just out of warranty. If they did that, they had to make a lot less money because Toyota wouldn't have paid that much for the warranty work. So they used this warranty loophole. Toyota knows what the dealer is doing and may be even the one encouraging dealers to swindle customers. If anyone at Lipton Toyota reads this, they know who I am. My wife and I purchased several new cars from Lipton. Let me tell you about the last one...A Tacoma. On the test drive, the radio turned off and on by itself. An "easy fix" I was told. And I agreed. I bought the truck. The truck was prepped and I took it home. On the way home, the radio stopped working. A few days later I went back to Lipton. After work, I picked it up and the radio worked for exactly four days. The next time I went back, Lipton had my truck for 3 days. They supposedly replaced a wiring harness. A month later, the radio shut off, came back on, then shut off for good over a period of a week. This went on over a period of 24 months. I'd take the truck in....They'd "fix" it.....and it'd eventually stop working again! This became som6of a joke. But I tried very hard to remain calm. At one point, I'd gone in to pick up my vehicle and right there in the lot, the radio didn't turn on. The mechanic said..And I quote: " I didn't test it. I was just told to install it". On the 8th (EIGHTH) visit for this same issue, I received a phone call advising me that my truck was no longer under warranty. Lipton refused to repair it (They never actually HAD) I became pissed. Finally. And contacted TOYOTA AMERICA and told them my story. TOYOTA sent me a check to pay for my own radio. Which I installed and it works flawlessly. And must've also contacted Lipton. Because I got and apologetic phone call...Which I missed. I still can't believe that a shop with such a high tech looking repair and service department can't figure out how to repair a friggin radio. Or how quickly they told a loyal, longtime customer to get lost. But they did. Hopefully the fact that you own a Toyota will also mean that you won't need any repairs. I bought my car at Lipton Toyota and I bring it here to get maintaince. Most of the staff is nice and I receive reminder calls for my appointments. The salesman that sold me my car, Alejandro Ruiz, is a nice guy as well. When I was buying my car, there was no pressure. He didn't try to up sale me. He listened to what I wanted and I bought the car. Great experience! No issues.   The thing that I dislike here is every time I come in for maintenance, the finance guys keep trying to bring me into their lair to pressure me (a poor, ill informed woman) into buying a new car. One time two of them tag teamed me trying to convince me to finance a new car. "You could have a new car for the same payment that you're making now. Doesn't that make more sense then what you're doing now?" When I told them that I wasn't interested, they were smirking at each other and making some underhanded, demeaning comments. WTF!? First of all, I know how to count idiots.   Women are more informed then you give us credit for. We make money and we know how we want to spend it. After I not so politely put them in their place, they began to back peddle. Yeah, f*** off Jackasses and get a clue!  Urgh..I'm okay now. Anyhoo... Pros: If there its an issue with the car and it's on them, they will correct it. My tint in my back window began to bubble after a year and they fixed it with no problem. Lipton Toyota does have a free shuttle to take you where you need to go if you don't want to sit there for hours. I've been dropped off and picked up from work,  coffee shops, and a diner. The staff that check you in are always so polite and so helpful. They call you to remind you of your appointments. They also call if you haven't made an appointment when maintenance on your car is due. My service advisor Bob is always helpful. He's not the most personable but he is always helpful!  Cons: In general, I received good service there but I've had too many of those encounters with those finance guys. Those instances sour my experience a bit. I almost didn't come back but I had some free services left so I did. The Jackasses pretty much stay out of my way now. read more

I've have been looking at a used Toyota and speaking to the sales lady for a couple days. This dealer ship will continue to ask and preside you to come in it's ready but then all the pictures I have received the truck doesn't look anywhere clean or ready. Finally I was going to go but waited hours for the manager to call me. Which I think it's not even the manager that called. We spoke to prices and truck is 25995 and they said they can give it to me for 25500 so I'm ok that's not bad. So finally they got me a out the door price and they are charging me almost 2000 for the truck to be certified. When clearly the certification should cost $500ish. The manager called Demetri just called me. I had told him about the price and he goes and gives me these bogus excuses. We talk for a while but I guess he's getting frustrated over the phone. He even goes and tells me I'll sell the car to someone else and hangs up on me. Wow so professional! But now looking at the reviews of this dealership it explains everything! There's a lot of red flags these people gave me in the beginning and they showed there true face at the end. I don't recommend this dealership at all. Worse service ever!!!! Dropped my car off to run a diagnostic this morning at 9:20 am. Around 3:30pm the rep Alex called me to explain everthing that was wrong with my car. I then told him I can't afford 2000 dollars worth of repairs right now, I stated to him I am coming to pick up my car before they close at 7pm. I called him back and asked for a print out of all that needs to be fixed. His unprofessional reply was "Just get it done". At his rudeness, I replied, " Well, you pay to fix my car then? AGAIN Im coming to pick up my car before you close". When I got to the dealer by 6:38pm, a service rep says "Alex left and did not tell him anything, so u have to come back tomorrow." They sent me to see the register woman to see if she had my keys, she asked me for my name and tells me that Alex said that he had one more customer and if SHE come in, to just tell HER to come back tomorrow. WTF!! WHY would he say that, when he knew I was on the way!? So she called the manager, and he said the computer shows my car was still pulled apart and is still being serviced, so I cant get it today. WHAT!?? ALEX didnt even bother to have my car ready for me today per our conversation on the phone! Besides, being rude, he brushed me off plus had no consideration of my time and effort to get there, to pick my car up tonight. The lady at the register was sweet enough to call the manager and did everything she could to get someone to help me get my car tonight. A few moments later, the register lady discovered ALEX CAME BACK TO THE BUILDING, She then said to the person on the phone, "Alex need to come and talk to the customer". Which he did not!! Instead, ALEX came inside, dropped MY KEYS off to the register where I was standing, LITERALLY RAN PAST ME WITHOUT ONE WORD OR EVEN A GLANCE AT ME, NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY....and left!!! Put me on hold twice and then when I had to re-ask my question he got super testy and RUDE and said "I already answered your question 3 times!" Wow. RUDE to the core! Asked spicif questions about the car that he was able to answer. i told him im driving from miami which is 40 minutes away. Worst customer service ever. Just returned from the dealership where I had scheduled regular maintenance at 10AM Sunday. True to form, I got the "call" from Ryan telling me I urgently needed new brakes front and back! So what was supposed to be a $30 deal winds up costing me a paycheck, $768.00. But the worst part, was that I was told to make sure I arrived 15 min before closing time, so I arrived at 3:30. Waited a half hour and still no car. They were closing the place up, I was the only person in the entire public area, and employees were leaving. When I was told I could pay my bill, the keys were not with my paperwork, and the check out person made absolutely zero attempt to assist the customer. I asked for the manger's card, she said she didn't have one, not, "Let me get that for you sir". So I ask to see the manager on my way out, and some sales guy says he's the acting manager. When I delivered my complaint, he told me the manager would call me tomorrow. I waited another ten minutes outside for my car without a word from anyone where it was, or where to find the keys. I noticed that by 4:08PM the place was empty and the lights off. I began to pound on the front door. The "acting manager saw me, and DID absolutely nothing . At 4:10 PM my car is brought out by Ryan. He apologizes and tells me to call tomorrow to complain. I will. I left Lipton Toyota feeling mistreated and ripped off. Never again. read more

I have been coming here for 4 years now. I have 2 of my 4 vehicles serviced here. Of course they are Toyota's. I have been dealing with Andrew anf Andy. They treat me like a customer should be treated. Always curtious and offering suggestions. They meet the time frame I am given for work being done. Weather I have an appointment or walk in. If it will be longer I am notified prior to time expiring. I read more
