The beer lists What's on tap?

This place had ALOT of great beers on tap. You could build you own flight or just get a beer of various sizes. It was dog friendly which was fun to see the sweet pups visiting. The service was fast and friendly and patient as I built my flight. I really enjoyed the beer and the vibes and I would definitely come back to try more brews!

What an awesome place! 5 Gold Stars for Liquid Gold! Great craft beers on tap, a bottle (cans too) shop as well. There were also some wine choices. This is always on my list for my San Francisco trips!

Liquid Gold - has an old-school SF, chill vibe, and a solid selection of craft brews, on draft. Excellent place to taste some of the good, regional stuff.

When it comes to a craft beer bar, Liquid Gold checks all the boxes for me! I've been coming here for years, and this past weekend was my first time since COVID hit, and it was amazing to enjoy a nice cold sour beer inside! What'll you notice right away is their enormous selection of draft and bottle/canned beer. On draft you'll have at least 20+ options and a lot of them rotate, so coming in everytime is like a new experience! All their beer options on the TVs above the screens and what I love most is that they have clear descriptions and pricing for each one. My go-to if I'm with a group is to go for the flights, because I'm a variety type of guy. My latest trip was the first time I was able to trying an Alvarado street brewing sour beer, and it was easily the best tasting sour I've had ever. I believe it was called the Howitz, which is a passionfruit, orange & guava kettle sour ale. It was so tasty, I had to get two! Another reason I love this place, it's dog friendly! They have tables outside, but they even let me bring my pup inside while I sipped on my beer. If you find yourself on Polk St. this is just a short walk from the main area. Highly recommend this spot for any beer lovers out there!

How did I not know this place existed??? We came here on a whim after reading solid reviews for the place on Yelp, and are we glad we decided to check them out! Double Howzit Punch from Alvarado street, yes please! What an amazingly balanced 8% POG sour. The Turbo Dust hazy from Bare Bottle, it was smooth and not overly bitter, with a great dry hopped flavor punch. We also tried the Barrel roll #3 from Hanger 24 and it was a little sweet for my taste, but good flavor otherwise. Great attentive bartenders and a cool vibe and a couple screens playing local sports games. Be sure to stop in if you're in the area!

18$ for a pint of hazy? Per the website menu is this right? Seems a bit much with so many good bars I would have to pass on this

Great little beer bar and prices were reasonable considering it's SF. Carrie's a variety of tap beers with a knowledgeable staff

    Do you do Growler fills?

Unfortunately in CA, we are not allowed to fill growlers. Only breweries are allowed to.

    Are pets allowed?

When I was there there was a pet sitting on someone lap at the bar. Don't know official policy but they seem pet friendly.

    Are kids allowed?

Sorry, no kids. Our license only allows for 21 and over.

I stopped by around 4:30 p.m. and there were a few tables where I saw folks finishing up their work day on their laptops with a beer. It's neither overly crowded, nor overly loud, which is perfect for getting work done. Since it was the World Cup and many guests would be camping out for the entire match, table service has a per person minimum spend of $25. This is a really a non-issue because a cocktail is around $15, so two drinks, or one drink with some food, will easily hit this minimum. My wife and I shared crispy pork schnitzel ($17) and an order of their deviled eggs ($12). The deviled eggs were nicely seasoned and included a small salad shrimp on top for some variety. The pork schnitzel was perfectly fried and the potatoes in the included side-salad was well-cooked and not over dressed. I would recommend enjoying the schnitzel with some mustard. Both drinks that I ordered -- an Old Fashioned and a Boulvardier, were well prepared. No notes here. Service here was top notch. Throughout our stay, our server checked up on us multiple times and we never had to wait long to place another order for drinks. Tipping options on the receipt include pre-calculated 18%, 20%, and 22% options (on top of the 5% SF Mandate). Last but not least, the restaurant had clean bathrooms and a bunch of large TV screens on every wall. If you're looking to watch a sports match, Sam's Tavern is the place to go!
