Stopped by quickly on my way out of Missoula with the family. I unfortunately didn't take any pictures of the food we got, but we all got their Big Sky Burrito and I split a Fruitosphere smoothie. Reading through the reviews, a lot of peoples experiences were based on their restaurant dine-in, so my review will differ in that regard. Our burritos came out in a timely manner and the smoothie was very delicious! There was a woman named Hattie (might be spelled wrong) who gave us 2 extra pieces of tinfoil to split one of our burritos even though it wasn't in her station. I have been to the Liquid Planet Grille on Brooks Street a couple of times in the past month. Both times I was very disappointed. Part of the reason I went the second time, was to see if the first experience was just the cook having a bad day, but soon into the second visit I realized that this is just what it is, bad preparation of food. On my first visit, my friend and I had breakfast. There were only a few other people in the restaurant. Both of our meals were cold, or barely warm to the touch. Doesn't the cook know how to heat food properly? Was it sitting there waiting to be picked up? It seemed to arrive fairly timely, so I didn't think it had been the waitress letting it sit. Besides being cold, it was also tasteless. My second visit was yesterday and we went for lunch. My friend told me she really liked the place, so I accommodated her. I ordered the chicken tinga tacos, thinking tinga must relate to a sauce of some sort. The tacos I got were very dry, white meat chicken, with absolutely NO sauce or flavoring of any kind. There was a small amount of shredded red cabbage on top. It was served with a tasteless salsa on the side. Luckily there was Chilula on the table so I could add my own flavor. Scott needs to pay his employees. He is running each and every one of his businesses into the ground and putting many Missoulians in difficult positions where they can't pay bills or make ends meet because of his poor decisions. The food was always just ok and never spectacular. The staff has always been kind and attentive. It's sad that his poor choices and big ego is causing so much hardship. I hope the endless free meals and drinks he gave to all of his friends and symphony members are worth it at this point. What a sad man. read more

We were just there for the first time today and ordered breakfast. Our server was friendly but could have been more attentive. We had a little bit of a wait for our food. We were sat right by the door which ended up not being ideal. Every time people would come in and out, the cool breeze from the door would make its way to our table. The other customers who were sat around us also commented the same thing so I know it wasn't just us. When our food arrived, it was definitely not hot, and was luke warm at best. I ordered my eggs over medium and to have them not be hot when I got them was a disappointment. Everything on the plate was barely warm, like it had been sitting around not under a warmer until it got delivered to us. Even biting into the sausage, it was noticeably on the cool side. My toast was way over toasted and hard. Trying to spread butter on hard, cold toast isn't something that made the experience any better. The fresh fruit I have now complaints about, and I think if the food had actually been hot when it was brought to us, it would have been a better experience. I know since they newly opened, the still have a lot of work to do if they want people to continue going back. For the price you pay for everything, it just isn't worth it. Worst dining experience we've ever had. Over medium eggs done rock hard. Kids chicken strips tasted like salt and vinegar...was not very kid friendly. Order new kids meals and still hadn't received the new order of eggs. Kids meals finally came 30 minutes later and still no eggs. Server went back to hunt them down and brought out completely hard fried eggs yet again. What a huge disappointment! Will not be stopping here again. read more

Food is horrible. Served cold and taste off. Chips with one of the meals were cremated and not edible. Save your money and eat at Arby's at least there the food is as expected. This location is already struggling and will not make it long term serving this sh#! read more

The service was fairly decent but rude and judgmental the food cost an absurd amount for it not even being good the amount of money you have to pay does not equal the quality of the food I would definitely say that they need a little in-home maintenance as far as their food goes the ambiance was fairly good though. read more

Finally a Missoula breakfast place that knows how to poach an egg! Fresh fruit, fast service. Not limited to crunchy melon. Ambience is basic but a good quality experience. À la carte menu makes it quick and healthy. read more

Honestly, wasn't a great experience. We went in the late afternoon/early evening, and the service was as minimal as it could get. The atmosphere was kind of depressing. The prices were way too high--like, $16 for two pancakes with nothing on top? No sides? Seriously? We were seated in a booth because only one side was open, which would have been fine, but there were flies all over the entrance booths. Once the food came, it didn't get much better. The food was just okay, nothing special. Save your money and head to Paul's Pancakes when they're open instead. read more

Great frappe', though way over priced. They didn't tell me there was a size option. Service was great. Did I mention it was overpriced. Also, the coffee bar menu was very small. Th atmosphere pays homage to the building's Denny's diner heritage. They have daily features that are popular with regulars. As you'd expect at any Liquid Planet, they have an espresso bar as well as a variety of other beverage options. The food is delicious and the staff is helpful. What else could you ask for. read more

Wow were we disappointed. I have never posted a review on yelp, but I am doing so to alert the Liquid Planet group to this. Our food was straight up terrible. Our server though was lovely and attentive. My husband ordered eggs benedict and he found it flavorless. He could detect salt, but NO other flavor. He said the highlight was the ketchup he poured on the flavorless potatoes. I ordered the vegetable wrap which seems hard to screw up, yet it tasted awful and sweet. It was almost inedible. And the coffee? terrible! and they charged 7 dollars for two cups of black coffee. read more

Then went to the website for the Brooks street location to try to order a couple of smoothies - only to find that they didn't offer most of the options listed. I ended up ordering a couple of the mango smoothies, which would probably be better described as slushies. Literally sugar-laden mango flavored concentrate blended with ice. I'm from out of town and was really looking forward to getting liquid planet. I went there with my son and my second cousin to treat her to dinner. Other than us, there was only 1 other group in the restaurant. After we were seated, it took at least 20 minutes before we were even acknowledged to the point that I had to ask if we could get some service. The coffee was only warm, not hot. After we ordered, it took a really long time to get our food (again, the restaurant was NOT busy at all). The food was good, but the when it came time for the bill, we were charged for the toppings on our pancakes and waffles, even though the menu says to add UP TO 3 toppings. Not that we would be billed $3 per topping. When I pointed that out to our server, she told me we (all 3 of us) read the menu wrong. She still comped me for the toppings, but as I just looked again at the menu before writing this, it does NOT indicate an additional charge for toppings. I really had high hopes for this new location. First, it took 30 minutes to get a table. There were 8 of us so that wasn't that unusual. Once we got the table, it took an hour before the food came. Everything was overcooked. The fries were horrible tasting. It was like they were cooked in oil that hadn't been changed since opening night. Also, the waitress was so busy that she didn't have many opportunities to check back and never refilled drinks. If the waitress had just kept us informed about what was going on and how much time it would be before the food came, then it would have been better. I had a plain 2 egg breakfast for a total of $20 (including tip). The eggs were good. The potatoes were not very good...over cooked. The ONE PIECE of whole grain toast (for 2 eggs????) was hard and small. The elk sausage was awful. The service was very good (Anthony).
