The service here is amazing, everyone is super smiling and attentive the girl who made my hair was really nice BUT the problem is that I don't have what I asked for, I had my consultation appointment to show this girl what I wanted and I asked several times if that was possible she said super sure, YES you will have that colour I love it bla bla, the day of my appointment I told her: do you want to see the picture again because I am really excited about this colour, she said no I already saw it in my phone, I asked again if my hair finally will be that bright and she said YES. Well the end of my story is NO I don't have the colour I asked for actually is darker and the price was higher because she put me a treatment that was not mentioned in the consultation. I've been searching for a new stylist for a while now. I was getting lunch from the deli next door and decided to go in and schedule an appointment. The front desk staff was very nice and got me in that night. I got the best haircut of my life from Rick. He really understood my fine hair and listened to what I wanted. I have a lot of fine, straight hair and she does my hair where I do not have trouble styling it every morning. After reading good reviews online for a few Liquid Salon stylists, I decided to take the plunge, buy the day's groupon, and try out this salon. I read over the details on the groupon, but when I called Liquid to make an appointment, I was greeted by an extremely rude receptionist. I let her know that I was a new customer with a groupon, and I wanted to make an appointment for a particular stylist. She informed me that the groupon was only accepted by two of their stylists which was in the fine print and that I could only make my appointment with them. She didn't inquire as to what kind of service I was looking for, but just let the phone set silent, as she seemed annoyed by my phone call in the first place. Not wanting to pick a stylist's name over the phone without doing any research, I told her that I'd need to figure out who these stylists are and call her back. Without warning, she then promptly hung up on me. I can understand and appreciate the busyness of a salon, however her gruffness over the phone and prompt hang-up was something I'm not willing to tolerate. This gives a terrible first impression to a potential new client. I may try to give the groupon away or just let it expire, since I won't be visiting this salon anytime soon. read more

I just had the BEST haircut of my entire life at Liquid Salon, by Lori Beth. People who know me at all and know how picky I am with my hair, and all the high end salons I have been to all over the world in my 40+ years... know that this is saying a lot. I have been looking for a new stylist since moving to White Lake from Royal Oak, and had been falling out of love with my hair stylist at Palazzolo. Thanks to Yelp I now found a stylist that I am terrified at the idea of her ever (or me) moving away. I think I'd probably travel to wherever she is because THIS is by far the best haircut ever. I got highlights and lowlights too, love those as well. Normally I can plan on spending the entire Saturday afternoon in the chair when I get both services because salons usually cram too many clients in on Saturdays, but not at Liquid. I was in and out in 2 hours, very happy about that. She spent the time to get to know my hair and my lifestyle, she is a pro. I originally heard about the salon because of Groupon but the Groupon is for a couple of other stylists at the salon and I wanted to try Lori Beth, so I skipped the Groupon idea. Everyone at the salon was extremely friendly and went out of their way to be kind to me and to get to know me, not just Lori Beth... everyone. Tonight I'm going to a new restaurant in Clarkston at the recommendation of the girl at the front desk, very friendly girl. The salon itself is in a strip mall at Maple/Telegraph and the atmosphere is very cute. I want that candle that was burning in the bathroom. My ONLY recommendation would be that it would be nice if the owner invested in some more comfortable chairs and chair/sink combos, but this won't stop me from going there. LOVE LOVE LOVE my new haircut and my new stylist. read more

Rick at Liquid Salon on Telegraph and Maple is amazing! He has colored my hair for the past couple of years and I just love it! My hair is longer than it has been in 10 years because he doesn't chop it or tell me I need it cut everytime I see him.....and it's very healthy......healthier than I have ever seen it.
