A Hidden Gem Grown Up Right - A Must-Visit Coffee Spot! We first discovered this coffee shop when it was just a humble trailer parked in a Brentwood lot about a year ago. Even then, it had charm, great coffee, and a spark of something special. Fast forward to today--now located in West Elizabeth--they've transformed into a warm, welcoming, and absolutely stunning space that still holds onto that same heart. We visited this past weekend with our son, his girlfriend, and her parents, and the vibe here is everything you want in a local coffee shop. It's spacious and inviting, with plenty of room to share a cup, a conversation, or even just a quiet moment to yourself. The coffee? Still incredible. I had a maple and toasted almond latte with almond milk--flawless. They seem to offer one standard size, which keeps things simple, and they had a few fresh baked items like jelly donuts that paired perfectly with our drinks. What really sets this place apart is the space itself. The front has an open, airy feel that's great for casual sipping, but the back is where the magic happens. There's a large communal table that invites conversation, a cozy library wall where I found myself flipping through Before and After Pittsburgh, PA--a beautiful book filled with nostalgic photos--and even a lounge area with comfy sofas for a more laid-back experience. This shop is only about 20 minutes from our house, and I can already tell it's going to be one of our favorite weekend stops. The growth from trailer to this thoughtfully crafted space is incredible, and we're genuinely excited to come back again and again. Highly recommend making the trip--you won't be disappointed.

Great coffee and friendly staff! They have everything from teas, refreshers, lattes and in house cold brew to food options like avocado toast and bagels. Also be sure to check out the back rooms! They have a large selection of seating and arcade games!!

Delicious drinks, unique varieties, friendly owners, local business, and they offer oat milk so most of their drinks can be made vegan!

I am extremely picky about the oat milk I keep and use in my home and this was the first coffee shop I have ever been to that vocalized and prioritizes offering dairy free options that isn't full of junk ingredients. Their matcha is sweetened with honey. I usually opt out of all sweeteners but decided to go for it here. It was great! A little too sweet but I didn't feel so bad knowing it was local honey and not refined sugary syrups. I grabbed a regular latte - no sweeteners for a friend and she raved about it! I was hoping to grab some local microgreens they advertise on their website but I didn't see any in the case. They did have a few salads for a grab and go option that I thought was nice for a quick lunch on the road. I would definitely be back when in the area again!

Most recently, I visited Central Coffee Shop on a Thursday morning this past September. I was…read moredropping my dog off at daycare in Elizabeth, and went a little out of my way to work to make the trip here for a morning coffee. Central Coffee Shop is a cozy neighborhood cafe located in Elizabeth, specifically in the Swiss Alpine Village. The shopping complex is right off of Scenery Drive, and houses several different offices and small businesses. It is locally owned and operated. The business offers different coffees, teas, lemonades, pastries, and many locally made treats. Additionally, the interior houses a gift shop area called Central Gifts and Home Decor. There is a lot going on in this unsuspecting place, but in the best way. Parking here is always very easy. Since this is in a complex, there is a private parking lot and spaces right in front. There is no drive-thru, if you were looking for that. However, it is so quick to get in and out with the very optimal parking arrangement. The exterior of the shop is very clearly marked and identifiable. It is painted blue, while the surrounding storefronts are yellow. There is also an awning, along with signage and lighted signs. You will be able to locate this easily. The inside of the cafe is large. There is a lot of seating, including a bar area, tables of various sizes, and more cozy seats surrounding a fireplace. Also, there are a few outdoor tables to utilize in nicer weather. This would be an ideal coffee shop to come to with friends, for a meeting, or just to leisurely enjoy an afternoon with all of the seating options. Overall, I love the vibes here. It is comfy, cozy, and welcoming. They are always decorated for the season or the next holiday. They have real mugs, and lots of different gifts and trinkets to shop through. It really is a warm and welcoming place you want to hang out at. I arrived on this visit just before 8:00 AM, and it was not too busy. There were a few other customers there, but I was waited on rather quickly. It gave me a few minutes to look over the menu, including the seasonal feature drinks. I opted for one of the seasonal lattes. I chose a Large Iced Woodstock Woods, which was a mix of brown sugar, maple, and cinnamon. I enjoyed it greatly! It was a perfect taste of fall without diving completely into pumpkin just yet. The large size is a very nice portion, and allowed me to enjoy my drink all morning long. When I visit, I usually opt for one of the seasonal drinks. If not, I will get one of their several house-made or sugar free flavor options. I truly have never had a drink I did not like here, so I would recommend trying different things if you are open to it! I did not get one on this visit, but their Pup Cups here are top-notch. My dog absolutely loves them, as they come with whipped cream and a dog treat. I believe that the value is there for this shop. My latte was around $7, and this is on-par with other local spots. I will say that the size of their large is bigger than a lot of other places, which makes it all that better of a deal. Personally, I think everything here is both fairly price and comparable to other places around. Also, they offer a punch card program for the drinks. So, you can get a punch for each drink purchased to eventually earn one free. They are one of the few local coffee places I am aware of that offer this, which is a huge plus. The staff here is simply the best. Whether it's the owners or some of their student employees, everyone is always so nice. They make you want to keep coming back and supporting the business. This is one of the highlights of stopping here for me! I always love coming to Central Coffee Shoppe. Between the plethora of options, gift shop, welcoming atmosphere and wonderful staff, there is a lot going for this place. I do not live super close, but make it a point to stop any time I am over this way. I look forward to my next visit and getting to try whatever seasonal drink is on the menu.

The place itself is lovely, very clean, lots of open space, and lovely staff. I got to try their classic latte with skim milk (I think, or some plant based milk) and my friend had their super fruit tea. I regret not being a bit more adventurous with my order, but it was a very solid latte nonetheless. Great portion, great art, very creamy despite it not being whole milk. My friend was a little disappointed with their fruit tea. Portion seemed to be noticeably smaller by a good bit. There was an option to sweeten it that they opted not to do and probably should have done! All in all, very nice spot in Homestead. There's even a little place to get water. Definitely recommend this coffee shop.

Absolutely nothing crazy (minus the French toast) that is just NAILED. And THE PRICES are so awesome The Hot Mess. Massive, loaded and delicious. That's not an omelette either.. that's their scrambled eggs loaded with potatoes and smothered it their insane sausage gravy. The biscuits with it. Right out the oven fresh, so soft, not dry in the slightest and honestly didn't even need anything on it. The corned beef hash was probably the best I've had. I never had it was such a great crisp/crunch to it. That is my new standard for corned beef hash The pancakes. The best in Pittsburgh and my top 3-5 of all time. I hate the hotcake style which you see in Pittsburgh MINUS the crisp with it. But I don't want that throughout the entire thing, I still want my fluff. This delivered that PERFECTLY. Great crisp on just the edges and the fluff in the middle. Absolutely perfect THE BOSTON CREME FRENCH TOAST. My second favorite breakfast item I've gotten in Pittsburgh. You will rarely see me get French Toast unless it's recommended a decent bit or just looks nuts. THIS is my favorite French toast I've had and I hate Boston Creme 90% of the time. It always gets too overfilled, and too sweet of a custard. NOT HERE. The chocolate topping was perfect, not just a basic syrup people buy at the store that is so overpowering. Can 1000% tell homemade. The custard had the perfect amount of sweet ratio for amount they give Warning it's small inside with minimal seating and you will have to wait. I drove 50 for it and waited 35 for a table. I would drive 2 hours and wait another 2. I will be returning numerous times ESPECIALLY when they have the Bear Claw Pancake Special
