I had breakfast here this morning and tried the Prosciutto Benedict and the Berry Chia bowl. I will say that I was expecting a lot more chia seeds than what I received, but otherwise it included a good serving of berries. The Prosciutto Benedict was good, and generously sized. I didn't finish it; definitely could have been shared between two people. Service was quick and very friendly this morning. A surprisingly nice option on navy pier. I think it's associated with the hotel but we didn't know that when we made reservations. We mentioned we were seeing a show at Chicago Shakespeare and got 20% off our bill. Nice touch. Sandwich was very large. My husband enjoyed the caprese salad with salmon (a nice sized piece of salmon). We wanted the mussels but we were told not to eat mussels from anywhere right now due to some unspecified issue. The food was okay and the portions were generous, but unfortunately the service was disappointing. Our server, Alma, never checked back to see how our meals were, never refilled our coffee or iced tea, or checked to make sure everything was correct. One meal was brought out wrong, the replacement was missing fries, and when we ordered coffee, she seemed annoyed that she had to make it. We were also told our bill could not be split among three couples, which was just lazy service. The overall attitude felt unfriendly, and the final interaction before we left came across as rude and dismissive. I like how convenient it is to have a good restaurant at the hotel lobby because sometimes you are just too tired to go out of your way to dine. Service is friendly. I went here for lunch and for after dinner dessert and I got to consistent warm and friendly treatment from the staff. I enjoyed their food, particularly the spicy rigatoni and calamares. They also served a chocolate crème brûlée topped with strawberry which I surprisingly enjoyed (I was skeptical as this was chocolate flavored). It was heavier and denser than a regular brûlée but delicious nonetheless. My friends tried the lobster roll and they weren't too impressed by it. Would pass in the future. - Spicy Rigatoni - $23 (+ $12 for shrimp addition) - This was delicious. The rigatoni was good perfectly and the tomato cream was perfectly balanced. Shrimps were very large and well worth the extra $12. We would order this again! - Ceviche Tostada - $14 - Not bad and while the presentation is interesting, breaking the tostada to eat the thing was a bit of a hassle. Came to have dinner. Once we were sat down we order whole branzino, braised beef, ahi tuna and apple cobbler. The service was not that good, had to wait to get my order place. We were at the hotel for Deka Event and was looking forward to a good sitdown meal after Service was disappointing from start to finish. The server Alma seemed irritated, got our order wrong, and didn't check in on us at all during the meal. We were a group of three couples, but she assumed it would all be on one check and never asked how we wanted it split, which made things awkward at the end. Located in the Navy Pier/Sable Hotel, it was nice to have a restaurant located right at the hotel. I dined here for breakfast, lunch and dinner during my stay at The Sable. I tried the calamari, empanadas, two egg breakfast, steak burger, breakfast potatoes, and the greek yogurt. All were prepared well and tasted really good. The empanadas were my least favorite, the filling may have been better in a quiche or something, but the filling did not taste good to me. My favorites were the steak burger and the breakfast potatoes. Prices are way up there, yogurt was $10, steak burger either $22 or $25 and it comes with fries. The breakfast potatoes were $6 and the calamari was $19. Prices and menu can be found on their website. I would return only if staying in the hotel again. As for service, everyone was really friendly and food did not take very long to come out once ordered. read more

I don't usually have high expectations for restaurants in hotels, and tend to avoid them. We ended up here due to other circumstances and actually... we are blown away. We've been to so many restaurants in Chicago, the classics, the hot and trendy, the hard to get into, even recently a 3 Michelin star.. but this was the best meal I've had in awhile. The drinks were really good. We got the arepa, and the shredded beef was absolutely perfect - super tender, and it was really flavorful. The empanadas as similar meat but more chunky, and again it was so good. Absolutely loved them both. Then my husband and I split the salmon dish with a side of the papas bravas - OMG I don't know what they do to those potatoes, but they were incredible. It's the only thing we didn't get a picture of, but they're tender, crispy, and also so juicy, which sounds weird for a fried potato but whatever sauce they tossed them in was SO flavorful. The salmon dish too- salmon was perfect, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a flavorful green sauce, a slaw, and my favorite veg... Brussel sprouts. We thought everything here was super good, plus a nice location of the pier with a view of the lake. We'll for sure be back again... I'm already dreaming of those potatoes. read more

Had breakfast here for two days during a weekend getaway. The service is pretty fast. The view is amazing! We tried the egg Benedict, avocado toast, yogurt parfait, breakfast burrito and French toast. The decaf we got is pretty good. Avocado toast is generally very hard to mess up, however, it really disappointed me. Pouched egg is fine, but the cherry tomatoes on top are freezing cold, which I don't understand. Thankfully the yogurt parfait was good. Our bill for the first morning had an automatic 18% tip surcharge that I almost didn't catch. It's literally two of us. I got cured by the French toast the next morning. It was truly delicious, fresh, hot, soft, chewy. The mascarpone cheese is the perfect garnish. read more

The only reason we stopped here was due to walking the entire pier and we were thirsty. I thought it would also be nice to have a drink and stare out to the ocean since nothing was open outside anywhere on the pier. To enter, it was confusing because there were several entrance doors and it was so bright outside that we could not see inside. Another customer walked up and thought the same thing. A staff member from the inside came out to greet us and guide us through the proper door. We made our way to the bar and sat. The bartender made his way towards us and gave us menus. We were just planning to drink so we quickly reviewed the drink portion of the menu. I ordered the Canela Apricot Margarita and hubs ordered a beer. I love apricots and was excited to try a drink with apricot, since it's very rare. Our drinks arrived soon after and that's it. We stayed at the Sable hotel at Navy Pier and were told to check out Lirica restaurant, which is located inside navy pier. I was hesitant due to the mediocre reviews, but after dining here twice, I'm not really sure why there were so many bad reviews. We had dinner here first, just walked in without a Rez and were quickly sat at one of the lovely booths in the middle. Our server was really great, super friendly, attentive, and quick. We had the straciatella (this was my fave with the Marcona almonds and amazing focaccia), fried calamari (the actual calamari was good, didn't love the dipping sauce tho), potatas bravas (huge portion, quite tasty), and bacon wrapped dates (also delicious). We really enjoyed this meal, so much that we decided to come back in the morning for breakfast. At breakfast, our server was also great, very quick and friendly. We had the omelette and steak and eggs. The steak and eggs were really good, steak was tender and juicy. The omelette was good, I just wished it had another vegetable in it, perhaps mushrooms? Overall, we really enjoyed our meals here. I can imagine it being even better in the summer when the weather's nice out. My mom is a vegan for some health reasons and had a little trouble finding options other than a fruit cup. Mishell took care of us! We were in town for a volleyball tournament and this restaurant was on the pier and a perfect location for us to grab a bite before the day's games kicked off. We chose to eat outside and enjoy the beautiful view and people watch while we waited for the rest of our group to arrive. We started with the small plates of stracciatella and bacon wrapped dates and I must say we were surprised and very pleased with our choices. They were actually even quite filling. Where I would say it all went wrong was the service. Our waitress seemed to make it a habit of disappearing and not being able to be found. Then when we would ask for help from other staff, they would reply as if they were going to assist us but then they disappeared too. Then it would be another 15 minutes before our waitress would come to check on us. This happened about 3 or 4 different times to the point where we were even waiting 20 minutes just to pay. I even recognized that we weren't the only table going through this with differed staff. I tried to consider that maybe they were busy, but it wasn't full in the restaurant inside or outside and it is the Navy Pier so you would think they were used to regular traffic.
