He took a series of pictures both before and after. He was very gentle and meticulous during the procedure and really calmed my nerves throughout. Their office environment was also very modern, sanitary and orderly. As a professional and periodontist his ratings here should be much higher than what I am seeing. I rated him a 4 out of 5 minus the staff, who weren't the most personable, however at the end of the day I was there to see the doctor not the staff.

Dr. Wollam Was gentle, and removed the broken bits with amazing patience. I went back for a bottom plate. The kindness and patience shown by Dr. Wollam is shared by the dental techs, Gabe and Maryna. They were friendly, sweet, and professional, taking great pains to get the impressions of my jaw and top denture as well. My first visit to The Dental Co. was because I needed a root canal and to put it mildly, I was terrified, anxious, and a mess. Upon my arrival, I was greeted at their front desk (their office is stunning by the way) by Samantha - she is incredibly friendly, non-intimidating and overall a gem. Dr. Jane and her staff (especially Gabe and Carly) immediately put me at ease and my anxiety began to go away. As my procedure progressed, Dr. Jane talked to me about what she was doing, what to expect, etc. and I cannot tell you how appreciative I was for that. I left after my root canal feeling so incredibly relieved and thankful that the staff and doctors were not only incredibly talented, but they treated me like a human being and we're non-judgemental. If you have any dental anxiety or reservations - I urge you to check out The Dental Co. and I promise you that you will not be disappointed and it will change y our outlook on dental visits. I'm giving them one star because of what happened after we stopped going. I had always paid my copay at the time of the visit every visit. At one point I asked if I had reached the maximum number of visits covered by insurance and was told that I had not yet and that when and if it happens they could ask for approval for more. We quit in late October 2017. I never heard anything about owing any money or that insurance had stopped paying until a year later when I received a letter from a collections agency for $112.28. I immediately called and spoke with Valerie who claims they sent me three bills that were never paid. I never received any bills from them. Because it was already in collections she claimed they couldn't do anything else. At no point did anyone call me to tell me my insurance visits had run out or that I owed any money. Since I had always paid my copay and never received anything from them I assumed that either I had not reached the maximum number of visits or that if I had that insurance had approved additional ones. Now this bill for $112.28 is on my credit report as past due and my credit is irreversibly damaged. I would think that after having established a personal relationship with the staff and the therapist and having always paid in full on the day of the visit, they could have reached out via email or phone. I'm extremely disappointed with how they treated us. As an update to this review. Over a year later, the collections is the only negative not perfect item on our credit report. Yet because of $112.28 the mortgage we are currently applying for will have a significantly higher rate. Our credit fell from 830 to 690 all because of the incompetency of CSTCs billing department. It is going to cost tens of thousands of dollars in extra interest. Words cannot express my discontent and frustration.

Being that I only come for cleanings I decided to keep my appointment and come for my cleaning. Let me share some background of my oral health. I was an Invisalign patient of Dr. Rafatt which made my oral hygiene A+. I had 1 small cavity filled about 4 years ago and when I got that cavity I was not brushing my teeth at night time (guilty). After that, I made sure to brush twice a day and with Invisalign I became a crazy flosser. Since my x-rays are done once a year, I did have anxiety about cavities BECAUSE I had an implant put in for a missing molar and my fabulous prosthodontist warned me about cavities forming in-between the fake tooth and real ones because people don't floss well. I made sure to floss with string, floss with water, and brush with my Phillips sonic care toothbrush twice a day to ensure I keep my teeth as healthy as possible. All of this to say I was SHOCKED when this new woman dentist told me I have 2 cavities. I wish I would have listened to my gut and ran out as soon as I sat in the chair to get them filled. PLEASE LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE, I BEG YOU. I should have known better and I should have WAITED. I am the kind of person that wants to get medical procedures over with so they are not looming over me. When I was walking out of my cleaning with the disbelief that I had 2 cavities in bottom right side molars, I was scheduling my appointment thinking it would be in a couple weeks and they had a following AM available. I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO MY GUT AND SCHEDULED FOR LATER. I HAVE SO MANY REGRETS, I want to cry every time I think of this story but I hope that in sharing my experience, it can save someone from unnecessary fillings that are debated to not been good for you to begin with. I was leaving for a trip so I decided to get it over with. I came in the following day and sat in the chair, I asked the dentist photograph the cavities because it's really hard for me to believe I have them. I DIDN'T SEE ANYTHING. As soon as she put a bite block in my mouth I got wicked anxiety and wanted to leave so bad but I thought it was just the block, so I had it taken out and she went ahead with the procedure. Finally, when the dentist was done with me, I was trying on my retainers, she walked out of the room and when I was asking about the photos, the assistants couldn't explain it to me so they went to get her and SHE HAD LEFT. The office offered to schedule me to come speak to the dentist. The more I think about it, the more I feel this is fishy. My trusted dentist sold his practice, a new dentist comes in and first day she meets me all of the sudden I have CAVITIES?! you've got to be kidding me. GET A SECOND OPINION. I DID get a second opinion. I sent my x-rays to my prosthodontist PRAYING that he agreed that I had cavities where they were filled so that I would feel better for getting them. I did not tell him that I had them filled, I just gave him the teeth numbers that this dentist said I had cavities and asked him to look and give me his opinion. His opinion, to my detriment, is that he does not see any cavities ON JUST XRAY REVIEW. Granted, he did not have the ability to do a clinical in person review. I am absolutely heart broken about this, it feels like I was violated in a way I have never experienced before. Now, I have to live with these fillings in my mouth that in my hearts of hearts I believe I did not need.
