Iliana is also so very sweet and knowledgeable, and the times I've trained with her are always a challenge I accept.

I'll tell you about both. I want to note that I never did the 6-week weight loss program they offer every month to new clients. I just came to do the group workout classes for $60/month. I thought the group classes were very good. Each exercises were 1 minute each and you rotate to do another different exercises. It varies from day to day. Most days, the days program includes some resistance and some cardio. Some equipment used are dumbbells, stationary bikes, stairs, rowing, sliders, punching bags, resistance push/pull boxes, ab roller, slam balls, bosu balls, battle ropes, TRX ropes and more. Everyday are different exercises, which I like. Each round, you have 4-5 exercise stations and 3 rounds, which makes it 50 minute of intense workout. I always sweat! The workout is pretty intense. Since being a member, I felt like I gained muscle and my weights has increased since I started. My muscles are often sore after exercising. I loved how Coaches really push/encourage me to con't exercising. They provide free heart monitoring. Free of charge if you're a member. It gives how much calories you burned during the class and who is in the red, yellow, green, or blue zone. The place has A/C when it's hot or in the summer time. It's so nice since, I'm dripping in sweat every class. They used to provide towels for us, but now they don't, we need to bring our own towels. I like that when we do floor stuff, they have black cushion pads for my knees to rest on preventing my knees from touching the hard floor. Depending on the coaches, each coach has their own genre of music they like to play. The music is super loud depending on where station in the room. It's really loud when you stand near the very left of the room (near the restroom). It hurts my ears! There is water fountain and restrooms for male and female. However, they do not have showers. Also, there are no paper towels to dry your hands after washing. They have specific times when class starts and stops. I recommend to check their website online to know what times classes start. Multiple times I've driven there and find out that they are closed for that day. They don't have any reference on their website or their Facebook page that specific day being closed. The only thing is that you'll drive there and realize it. The don't notify when they don't have classes. It's a waste of gas, but more importantly the time to drive there. Plus, no one answers the phone. I don't know why they have a phone number if hardly anyone one answers it. If you want to call, your best bet is to call after 3pm, that's when there is 1 person in front of the gym checking people in. During Covid, I came back after months of not coming to United Fitness because of being precautious of covid and wanted to stay at home, it was easy to come back. They did not enforce wearing a masks doing into the gym or during the class. The thing I noticed was that some coaches try to social distance esp with stationary bikes, stairs, and row boat being so close to one another. I like that some coaches did that. But, I think that all coaches should put people every other seat so at least we are distanced with each person. I think they should limit how many people come to class too, so we can do social distancing for the rowers, bikes, and stair climbers. When coaches don't say anything, people will be next to each other without masks. I felt that is so dangerous of NOT ENFORCING Social Distancing ...they should maybe do every other person on the bike, rowers, and stairs. During Covid, they did not enforce how many people are in a class. When it was beginning of Covid, they had sign-up sheets to enforce how many people can come to the class. But they got rid of that and just allowed anyone and however many people to come to class. During Covid, some classes, esp the night ones were packed with people. They don't limit how many people come to class. Therefore, not social distancing on at each station. They do ask everyone to wipe/disinfect using spray bottles and paper towels. The spray bottles were community use. However, restrooms still don't have paper towels for people after washing hands. Like: --class exercises --coaches pushes me to keep going --coaches demonstrating the exercises before us starting --easiness of stopping and starting membership --free to use weighing scale with fat % & muscle % Dislike: --not enforcing social distancing, esp with bikes, rowers, and stairs machines being so close to one another --people not wiping their sweat from their stations....so gross and coaches not enforcing the wipe down between stations --not knowing which days are open and which are closed --no one answering their phone calls --super loudness of their speakers that you can't hear the coach

Then I found Fitness 19. It's smaller than most gyms, but that works in its favor. The staff is genuinely friendly and helpful. People actually come here to work out instead of sitting on a machine for 45 minutes scrolling through TikTok and guarding it like it's the Iron Throne. The place is clean, organized, and doesn't smell like a medieval battlefield after three days in the sun. Equipment is where it's supposed to be. Nobody seems determined to create chaos. My only complaint is that it isn't open 24 hours. Sometimes I get the urge to exercise at 2 a.m. after making poor dietary decisions and watching motivational videos that convince me I'm one workout away from becoming Batman. The pricing is reasonable, and they offer additional classes if that's your thing. Personally, I'm just a basic member, and the basic membership has everything I need. No gimmicks, no nonsense, no influencers filming workouts and then asking you to get out of their Oscar Worthy shot. For the first time in a long time,I don't dread going to the gym. That's probably the highest compliment I can give. 2 thumbs up.

Since my last review, there really haven't been any positive changes at this UFC Gym…read more First, I want to give credit where it's due. The lone janitor/maintenance guy does an incredible job. I'm honestly surprised he manages to keep the place as clean as he does by himself. He deserves recognition. Unfortunately, that's about where the positives end. There is a constant carousel of front desk employees. Trainers have almost completely disappeared. Ironically, I recently received an email advertising an "Elite" membership that includes unlimited classes and the recovery room. The problem is... what unlimited classes? When I first joined, they had an outstanding kickboxing coach, Jergoff, teaching multiple morning and evening classes. I haven't seen him in roughly six months. They also had an excellent boxing coach with real experience. I haven't seen him--or his classes--in a long time. I rarely see jiu-jitsu being taught anymore. Occasionally I'll walk by and catch a No-Gi class, but nothing consistent with the posted schedule. I haven't seen MMA classes running in quite some time either, and I honestly can't remember the last yoga class I saw. Could I have simply missed a few classes? Sure. But I've been a member for over two years, come in at all different times of the day, and I know who used to teach what. The original MMA coach has been gone for about a year. His replacement only lasted a few months. At this point, it's hard to understand why the gym continues advertising unlimited classes when so many of them either aren't happening or are incredibly inconsistent. From a customer's perspective, it feels misleading. That isn't even why I'm leaving. The reason I'm officially looking for another gym is because the newest bald manager decided to ban me from using the vibrating foam roller. His explanation was that it's a display model meant to be seen and purchased--not used. The ironic part is that on my very first day at this gym, I was specifically told that both the percussion gun and the vibrating foam roller were available for any member to use and were not part of the recovery room. I have no idea why this suddenly became an issue. Every time I'm there, I might see one person using the recovery room--if that. Me spending five minutes with the foam roller wasn't costing the gym recovery memberships. If anything, it highlights a sales problem, not a customer problem. This gym used to be alive. It was packed. Classes were full. Trainers were engaged. The recovery room had people in it. They hosted UFC viewing parties, raffles, holiday events, and there was actual energy when you walked through the doors. Now the atmosphere feels desperate. Empty. Sad. The only reason I stayed as long as I did was because most of the staff have always been friendly, and the gym has remained very clean. But being told I couldn't use a foam roller--after years of being allowed to--and then immediately receiving an email trying to sell me an "Elite" membership was honestly insulting. Over the next few days I'll be trying other gyms. If I find one I like, I'll be back to cancel my membership. If not, I'll keep looking. Either way, I'll be canceling soon. For anyone considering joining, I honestly don't think the upgraded membership is worth it anymore. The access-only membership has gone up in price, and the premium membership no longer offers the value it once did because the trainers and classes that justified the cost simply aren't there anymore. Yes, the recovery room is nice--probably the nicest feature the gym still has. But many competing gyms include amenities like saunas, pools, and hot tubs in a standard membership. Between that and the growing number of affordable at-home recovery devices, it's hard to justify paying roughly $120 a month for a gym that no longer delivers what made it special. When professional fighters were teaching classes every day, on schedule, there was a real argument that the price was worth it. Today, I don't think there is. More than anything, I'm disappointed. This used to be one of my favorite gyms. Watching it decline over the past couple of years has been frustrating. Ironically, the final straw wasn't some major issue--it was being told I could no longer use a foam roller I'd been allowed to use for years. I hope that decision was worth losing a loyal customer.

The space is clean, well run, and set up perfectly for youth training. What stood out most was the environment. It's competitive but still positive, and the kids were always excited to be there. The trainers do a great job keeping things organized while pushing players to work hard and improve. You can tell they care about development, not just running kids through drills. If you're looking for a gym where players can get better, build confidence, and enjoy the process, NXTLVL is a great choice.
