She actually told us, "Next time this happens, bring it up right away so we can swap it out." That response left me completely speechless. First of all, we did bring it up right away--the moment I saw the bug, we took it straight to the counter. Second, saying "next time this happens" raises a pretty concerning question: is finding bugs in food something that happens often enough to have a standard response? Yes, she eventually comped my chicken strip plate, but it was done with such obvious rudeness and attitude that it didn't feel like customer service at all. The issue was never just the cost of the meal--it was the fact that I found a bug in my food and was treated like I was inconveniencing them by bringing it to their attention.
