Was craving a breakfast burrito and this hit the spot!! They have an extensive menu that includes breakfast burritos, various plates, tacos, regular burritos, etc. You can either do takeout or order at the register and sit down. They give complimentary chips and pico, which was a nice surprise. The pico is delicious and hands down one of the best I've had! We ordered breakfast burritos, which were all around $10 each, and you can add potatoes, rice, guac, etc. for an additional charge. The burritos are huge! You definitely get a bang for your buck and will not leave hungry. I ordered a chorizo and egg breakfast burrito and added potatoes, and my husband ordered a machaca and egg breakfast burrito with added guac and sour cream. Both came out so quick and hot! The burritos were sooo good and it comes with a side of salsa. It's nice that this place has seating inside so it's not all take out. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We came here for the breakfast burritos based on some social media reviews I saw and I wasn't super impressed. The burrito was a little dry. Lots of eggs and potatoes. No cheese and no sauce of any kind provided. Luckily we ordered some pancakes as well and they were pretty good. Service was prompt and friendly. Big portions. That's the first thing that comes to mind after our visit to Lito's Take Out. And even though Take Out is in their name, they have a nice dining room indoors and provide table service once you ordered at the counter. We had a ground beef taco, carne asada taco, and bean, cheese, rice, and chicken burrito. Besides being big, they were very tasty. The prices were very reasonable and the table service included a bowl of chips and delicious salsa. By all means, this place is definitely worth a visit. Came here as our last stop for breakfast to end our trip and put ourselves in a food coma. I didn't get to try a bite of the burritos my friends ordered, but they were huge and look how beautiful that cross section is!! Green chilaquiles- 10/10 wow plenty of sour cream and guac to share. Chips were crunchy and thick, freshly fried. Rice and beans not too oily/fatty big portion, very generous. Two breakfast burritos... egg and sausage was very light on the sausage and only came with egg and sausage, just a heads up. All that is in the burritos is what is in the name. Not a lot of flavor. The salsas were great, definitely where the flavor is and the only thing that made an impression. There is no restroom, but there is parking behind the building, which was nice. Loved their food and the people here. We were visiting my son and his GF at UCSB and saw this spot on DDD. Daniel's GF had never tried Lito's before, and she being latina, found her new favorite authentic Mexican restaurant after we brought them here. On my vacation to Santa Barbara I was hungry for a breakfast burrito. Checked a few places online and chose Lito's. Turns out I chose wisely. I ordered the Chorizo & Egg burrito, and added cheese and an Anaheim Chile. Spiced it up with the red sauce. Since there were only 2 others eating inside I decided to dine inside. By the time I finished my breakfast, the place had filled up. Great timing on my part. The burrito was everything I was expecting. Delicious and filling. The service was excellent. I was offered chips and additional sauces, but I was fine with just the burrito. If I make it back to Santa Barbara this will be a must stop. read more

A friend recommended this spot for lunch and I am so glad they did! It was super easy to place an order ahead on their website to have ready upon our arrival. They have a fair amount of seating inside, despite being a small spot. The service was incredible. Staff were so friendly and attentive. I opted for the chicken fajitas burrito and it was so yummy. I loved grilled fajita veggies. They also have a great selection of salsas and some had a great amount of spice. They don't have parking but it was easy to snag a spot on the street at the lunch hour on a Saturday. Others in my party were excited about the pozole. This place wasn't dog friendly so we just ordered takeout & ate it at the tables outside the Santa Barbara Public Market. The burrito prices were super reasonable compared to other burrito places, and they don't skimp out on the ingredients. The burritos were actually really good - we got one of the chorizo with egg and cheese and one of the Louisiana sausage with egg and cheese. We thought they put in a little too much egg, but we appreciate that they didn't upcharge us for the burritos especially during this time of egg shortage. read more

Needed to get a breakfast burrito at least once when I was in town, so looked up Lito's as it was nearby. Place was on the small side in a less lively area, however it was walkable and bright/clean inside. A few people eating breakfast too. Service couldn't have been nicer; in general everyone there was happy. Breakfast burrito didn't knock my socks off but it hit the spot. Plenty of egg and bacon. This was breakfast stop number two for my friend and I last weekend. Stopped in not knowing that Guy Fierri had stopped in here not once, but twice. Have to admit, was a little skeptical because I've been to a handful of places that Guy has been to - and I felt they were just OK. That's how i felt about Lito's. First off - parking on Haley. No issue. I saw what looked like it could be a parking lot behind. You'll have to ask though. We found parking basically right in front. Free too. Walk in. Order. Find a seat and your food will be served. Order first though. There's even a sign asking you to. Don't go hogging tables as the place isn't big - not a lot of seating. Place was about half filled when we got there. Stayed steady like that until we left. Service was great. Attentive. Friendly. Really nice. Makes me feel bad that I'm not a fan of the food. But I wasn't. Not that it was bad. It just didn't knock my socks off. I will say this though - if you like Menudo, the portions are great. If you look at the pics and see how the bowl is full of tripe. For my particular taste though, needed more acidity to mask the funkier notes of the tripe. The breakfast burrito was standard for me. If you like lots of seasoning, this might not be the place for you. The food was lacking flavor, but it was cooked well and the portions were nice and filling. The horchata was very good, but the coffee was extremely weak. The salsas were decent, not spicy enough - and the chips were above average. Great breakfast burritos. And you can order online. Possibly the best in town. Hard to beat the prices here. This small hole in the wall off the beaten track was a real gem of a find. Wry simple fresh Mexican food soon very well. The portions are very big,enough to share with 2 people. It's Halloween and I have been freezing since I got to work at 6:30am. I just walked to Litos and ordered a small Pozole' to go. OMG. This broth is BOMB!!!! So flavorful and the perfect amount of meat and hominy and a huge package of cabbage, onion, cilantro, lemon, radish, oregano, chilis, warm corn tortillas and green salsa on the side. Stopped in before 9am to try their small burrito special. From 6:30-9 there are an array of breakfast burritos for $5.95 plus tax. This is the perfect size burrito in my opinion. Opted for the egg, bacon and cheese version with hot salsa on the side. Delicious. Would come back to try the chorizo, egg and potato. Exactly what I wanted. Ordered online, made some modifications to a breakfast burrito and they executed flawlessly. At ~$11 this was a steal. Ended up with the Anaheim chili breakfast burrito, added avocado, potatoes, and cheese. They were NOT stingy with the avocado. Large, fresh slices evenly spread throughout the burrito ensured a little in each bite. The potatoes were also cooked perfectly to complement the overall consistency of the burrito - a huge plus for me. Perfect perfect perfect. Order was ready when I arrived early. I decided to try this place out after seeing it featured on the TV show "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives." I was definitely not disappointed. I ordered the Chili Colorado burrito, which goes for $11.75. It was huge and delicious -- stuffed with large chunks of beef, rice and beans. It's got to be one of the best burritos I think I have ever had! The menu offers "lard free" beans on request, and so I ordered it that way. The place is supposedly a "Take Out" joint, but there are a few tables inside, so you can eat there if you wish. It's also in a quieter section of downtown Santa Barbara, so there is ample free street parking. read more

Craving some pozole on our trip to Santa Barbara, bonus points that it was a triple D spot. It was a little busy when we went (pre-covid) a few folks were in line in front of us, all the tables were taken and there were more people coming in behind us. We ordered some pozole and I got a carne asada quesadilla. I was extremely angry that the people behind us snagged the table that came available just as we went to sit down even they didn't order yet. Isn't that the unwritten (and sometime written rule about places like this... with exceptions for elderly and folks with lots of kids. You don't sit until you are done ordering) so after standing there waiting for a new table to open up while the annoying person was still holding the table for their counterpart still online we finally got one near the trash can and drink machine. I hated everyone and everything at that point. Buuut then the food came. And the pozole was so tasty and my quesadilla was huge. I thoroughly enjoyed my food and the staff there was efficient and nice. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made the whole experience even better. My second visit really sealed it for me. I had the bacon breakfast biscuit with maple mustard and it was phenomenal--honestly one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had. They have a good selection of doughnuts all unique flavors. The coffee is really good. The server for my coffee wrong but I ended up not correcting it because it was very good. I ordered the special salted caramel brown sugar but for the salted caramel instead. I wanted to go back to order another coffee. My first bite of the cream cheese everything doughnut I was disappointed. But as I ate it more there was more cream cheese which I enjoyed. Sour: we ordered other doughnuts as well. We were pretty full all day so we didn't get to try the others till the next day. I'm guessing we should have forced ourselves to eat it the same day. The flavors were good. We ordered brown butter, carrot cake and pistachio lemon. By day 3 they were completely bad and very hard. The everything doughnut is not consistent in the amount of cream cheese inside. The one I had next day was not as filled as the first one I had. We ordered some doughnut holes as well and the glazed was melting. If I'm ever back in town I'll go for the coffee for sure and order 1 doughnut so I can have it fresh.

The coffee flavor of the tiramisu tasted fake so Alessia should work on her recipe if she wants a better tiramisu dessert...or just change the name so it reduces the expectation.
