    Vegetable soup

This is our first time coming here, and we will be back. The taco salad and vegetable soup were delicious and the portions were very generous!

The space is clean and the ambiance is appealing. The staff were helpful and nice. Little Alex's is an old SB restaurant that closed down because they lost their lease. I am happy to see they found a new space at the old fresco. We had a chicken taco salad and kids nachos. Little Alex's is not your super "authentic" mexican food. It is more simple and a little mild. Which I do not think is bad. There are probably 100 authentic Mexican restaurants in Santa Barbara. It's nice to have another old school SB option.

Got me a chicken chile verde burrito and a fish taco both were really good! I tore up my taco before I can take a pic

Little Alex's is a solid spot with plenty of seating and ample parking, making it a convenient choice for a casual meal. The staff were friendly and attentive, which made for a pleasant experience overall. However, I wasn't a huge fan of the soft steak taco I ordered. The meat was really tough, and unfortunately, I wouldn't order it again. On the other hand, our friends mentioned they'd come in for happy hour before and loved several of the items on the menu, especially the potato taquitos, which they highly recommended. So while my taco didn't hit the mark, I'd be willing to give it another try for some of the other dishes--especially during happy hour.

Great local beer list. Mostly on tap too!

I'm soooo glad that Little Alex's is back! My heart shattered when they were forced to shutter their longtime Montecito location a few years back. But you can't keep a good menu down and Lynette and Dan Briner are back and better than ever! The location is perfect and the remodeled Fresco looks fantastic! I love the large patio and indoor eating spaces. The bar is a wonderful addition and I can't wait to enjoy many happy hours there. Great service too! My go-to pollo asada (grilled chicken) taco salad with a side of pico de gallo AND ranch came out promptly and was just as delicious as ever.

First few times we ate there the food was good. The last time we ordered takeout it was just a jam of cheese and tortillas and too salty.

Nice taco place. Unfortunately, terrible tacos. Like, gotta be ranked worst. Especially for the price. SB has so much more to offer.

I ordered the tarragon chicken sandwich (it was delicious! It was flavorful and fresh- the perfect amount of mayo, on soft sourdough bread) and shared the hummus plate. The hummus is a MUST BUY! It was tangy, smooth, and the bread was garlicky and warm. Loved this appetizer! There was a summer spritz on the menu that was refreshing, ice cold, and not too boozy. Wonderfully balanced and completed the meal.

The way this restaurant works is that you go up to the front window, you place your order, you go and sit down, and the order is brought out to you. Pretty simple. It's important to note, however, that this is a popular café. So, particularly on peak hours, you're probably going to have to wait to put in your order. That's just an FYI. In terms of seating, they have a large outdoor patio space. There's a lot of tables there, so you should have no problem getting a seat, weather permitting. This area has tarps over it, so you do have some protection from the sun. But, depending on the weather, you may or may not like sitting there. Personally, I always like to sit outside at this restaurant. They do have some interior seating. It's fairly limited, but they do have a few tables. So, if you're lucky enough, and you want to sit inside, you may be able to grab one of these tables to sit at for your meal. In terms of their food, it's basically Americana, with a little bit of a southwestern twist. Overall, it's pretty good. They also have all of the expected drinks: your coffees, your lattes, your soft drinks, and all of that kind of stuff. Overall, this is an interesting take on a café in the Santa Barbara area. If you're into a casual environment, this is a fun place to eat.

It was clearly a local favorite--the line stretched out the door--but it moved steadily and was well worth the wait. We enjoyed a couple of fresh, flaky croissants and found a lovely spot to sit and ease into the morning. The space has such a relaxed, inviting atmosphere, making it a great place to start the day. One thing we thought was especially unique is that the space transforms into a wine tasting venue in the evenings, giving it a completely different vibe later in the day. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I'd absolutely return to sample more of the menu and spend more time enjoying such a beautiful space.
