Been getting breakfast burritos from Lito's for years but never considered to get lunch there until this weekend. I also wanted to check out their remodel. Chili colorado combo plate for $17.55 and the lunch chile relleno combo for $14.95. They serve chips and a red and green salsa, the green salsa is spicy. Everything was really good, but the beans could be better, I am not sure if they offer a different style of beans or not. They only serve bottled and canned drinks, no fountain drinks. They have (1) tv and had the football game on so that was a plus. Chatty/friendly staff. Glad we finally went for lunch! read more

Lito's serves an amazing humongous breakfast burrito. I thought that I was not very hungry when we took a short drive from our hotel to Lito's. I confess, I am not a big breakfast guy. But hey, I am on vacation and finished a tough tennis match. I ordered up the potato & egg burrito with Spanish rice. It is amazing. The tortilla wrap is loaded with tender potatoes, fresh eggs, and well prepare rice. I bet it is close to a whole pound. So, I am half way through eating this delicious burrito, and cannot put it down. I devour entire burrito! So good! I add dashes of Cholula hot sauce for extra flavor. I just like my food very spicy. Visited Lito's every day for breakfast, when I was in Santa Barbara! The burritos were so flavorful, filling, and a great deal! I loved all of their salsas. Especially the hot salsa! I tried the pork with verde sauce burrito (sorry I forgot the name on the menu) and the Chile relleno burrito. The pork was so tender and the verde sauce paired well with it! The Chile relleno burrito was out of this world! I loved the cheese that oozed out and the chile had a slight smokiness that tasted so good in the burrito. I was craving a vegan breakfast burrito (mainly no meat/cheese). I found Lito's here on Yelp and decided to try it. Ordered and paid online. I was able to choose each ingredient which made it easy to accommodate my eating preferences. I also liked that I got to choose ALL the salsas! The burrito was huge! The fish burrito isn't typically a highlighted item on the menu or even in reviews, but you won't regret trying it! Take-out only for COVID times. This spot has been on triple D's by Guy Fieri for their pork pozole. Their pozole is served daily and menudo is on the weekends. Soup comes in 2 sizes and comes with your choice of corn or flour or tortilla or chips along with the accompaniments of cabbage, onion, radish, etc. Thumbs up on the pozole. The broth is rich. We ordered also a breakfast burrito. Ordered chorizo and egg and added nopales, potatoes, and cheese. I wish something as potatoes or cheese was already included in the breakfast burrito already since it's usually a breakfast burrito staple versus being charge as add-ons. On the weekends they get pretty busy. The wait time they told us of 10 minutes for our food to be ready turned into 25 minutes for our food. On the way back from camping in Santa Barbara and decided to stop by this place for some Mexican food. The lady at the register recommended the fish tacos special and Carnitas combo plate. My breakfast burrito reminded me of something I might have at a Mexican Grandma's home. It had a nice "Casero" (homemade) flavor. I ordered my burrito with eggs, chorizo, bacon and beans. Anyone who's been here knows this is not what authentic Mexican food tastes like. If you have sat down for a meal in Mexico, you know for sure this is not authentic Mexican food. It is quite obvious this place uses a lot of canned and boxed ingredients. The food is highly processed and the dining area is dirty. The chips are not fresh, clearly not made through out the day as should be. Stale, cold chips probably sitting under a lamp to make them appear warm. The salsas are completely flavorless, barely a hint of salt. The rice mixture is for sure canned and the tortillas packaged not even home made. place was just renovated and it's already filthy. The workers will wipe off a surface but completely neglect the legs of the tables which are really dirty. The cushions against the wall are already stained. Imagine spending all the money on renovations and not even making an effort to professionally clean this place. I watched someone clean a table with some old rag, first they cleaned the bench where peoples butts go and then they wiped the table!! No sense of hygienic security here. This place is horribly overrated. I guarantee their produce is non organic and their meats probably the same. Non organic non grass fed. Cheap quality ingredients and food. Dirty place. With last minute Christmas plans changing, I was on a hunt for some pozole! Not from SB and I am so glad I found Lito's Take out. The lady who took my order wasn't too welcoming but she was polite. I ordered a breakfast burrito, was kind of bummed the didn't have an all meat breakfast burrito so you had to choose which breakfast meat you wanted. I went with sausage and it was delicious it was big enough to share for two people. The Pozole was delicious as well. We had the potato, eggs, and chorizo and two of us shared one burrito and were still completely stuffed. Also told me that it was on Guy's Diners, Drive in's, and Dives....which, if anyone watches the show, you know all of his recommendations are top notch. It honestly took me half the day to eat it though because it was huge (and I can complain because it was a great meal I got to enjoy over the course of the whole day!) I've wanted to try this place ever since seeing it on Diners and Drive ins. We tried the taquitos platter, and the chile relleno. The relleno was different that any I've tried. The melted cheese mixed with salsa made up the sauce. The stuffed chile was in a folded over omelet, rather than being battered and fried the traditional way. I found the batter to be properly light where it touched the chile, but hard and dense otherwise. The density and dryness of the egg had me thinking that it had just come from the microwave. I still enjoyed it, but was in no way really impressed. An average relleno. The taquitos, three of them, were stuffed with shredded beef, and weren't at all bad. They weren't the crispy crunchy type, but rather had a chew to the tortillas. The sauce that topped them wasn't at all spicy, and reminded me of the Mexican food I discovered as a kid in the sixties and seventies. Red and tomato based, almost sweet, but still savory and good. Olvera Street? Old school Cali-Mex flavors on the sauce. The beans weren't thin and soupy, but medium textured and tender, and had the proper lard in your mouth feel, but not too much. I liked them, my wife said they were just okay. I mixed her leftovers with the remaining taquito sauce and had them with the chips they provided, which were warm and crispy good. The rice was fluffy and pretty basic, without the peas and carrots. Lito's was overall pretty good, but I may have to try some of their other things, as my experience was a solid three star one. read more

Way overpriced. Nothing special. They add lots of lard to their beans. I've had better food at Taco Bell for half the price. People working there are rude, unhelpful, and unpleasant. Even though this restaurant was on Triple D, it doesn't mean you should come here. I think they're just cashing in and don't care about product or people anymore.
