I found a car online that i was really interested in. I went to the dealership and told them which car I'd like to check out and possibly test drive. They acted so politely, like they really cared. After checking out the car, i submitted a credit application online but I also mentioned to the salesperson who was helping me that I had less than perfect credit. He told me not to worry because they deal with all types of credit. At this point, every kept checking on me, asking if there was anything I need, etc. About 15-20 after I submitted the application, everyone there did a complete 180. No one could be botheted to answer my questions regarding my credit application. I waited for someone to help me for about 30 minutes then I realized they wouldn't waste their time on me because, due to my credit, they couldn't sell me a car. About three days later, I sent a text message to the guy I had been working with and he told me he was still trying to get with the finance manager. It doesn't take 3+ days to look over a credit application. If you have great credit, they'll treat you like royalty; if not, they won't give you the time of day. read more

I sold my car to LAT last week, Akira was my salesperson. He was very helpful and responsive. I felt I got a fair and honest deal given the circumstances. I read the reviews here and it seems that people have crazy expectations when it comes to what they want from the dealerships. You have to remember it's a business and they have to pay a lot of people to keep their machine running. If the part costs 3$ at the store for you to buy then of course there will be a slight markup if they buy it and install it because they have to account for the employee who puts it in and the cost of the building he's in when he installs it. read more

I hate going to dealerships for general maintenance because I know their gimmicks and schemes. However, I was given a far better quote than Midas; almost $200 cheaper. Everything went well up until I received a call from an employee. They stated they wanted to try resurfacing my rotors instead of replacing them which is what I already agreed upon. They called me back and stated they couldn't and that they were going to proceed with replacing them. Alright cool.... When I went to pay, I noticed immediately it was about $140 more than what I was quoted. They fabricated the labor cost over the phone and lied about the costs of the rotors; $60 to be exact. I didn't even want to try speaking with them because I know I would've just been fed a BS answer. Furthermore, I also needed a tiny little plastic push tab for my door panel. When I asked the parts employee how much one would cost, because of course they don't have any in stock, he replied " $5.50". I took a breath and agreed even though I knew that was a rip off. He then said that I'd have to purchase a pack of them which comes in a set of 10. This was the icing on the cake that further supported my reasoning to not go to a dealership. You never can get a fair price. The rant is over. I went to Advanced Auto Parts and got a substitute that cost $3.5 for a pack of 5. Bottom line, I will not return to this dealership unless my truck needs major maintenance. read more

My experience at Little Apple Toyota was absolutely wonderful! I left Denver this morning with my family, driving our 2005 Highlander on our way to southern Missouri. The a/t oil temp warning light came on near Junction City, so we pulled off to problem solve. Levels looked good and light went off, so we decided to check in with Little Apple Toyota to cover our bases. The last thing we need today is a break down. Jimmy was so kind to check out everything, even running a quick diagnostic. He was thorough and assured us all was well, but more importantly he was very gracious. We took a car in before 8 a.m. for an oil change. At 5:00 we could not pick up the vehicle because they weren't going to be able finish before closing. We called at 11:30 today and the paper work was not finished and the technician was out for lunch. An oil change should not take 1 1/2 days. The service department at Little Apply Toyota did a great job fixing my 2015 Toyota Rav-4 when I ran into a maintenance issue. They got me in same-day with no appointment and had my car fixed and ready to go by the end of the next day. They are extremely busy with appointments, but were still able to find a way to get my work done relatively quickly. The price was very fair and they did a great job keeping me updated on the status of my vehicle via phone calls and text messages. the customer service is always underwhelming. Their service writers are arrogant and assume you don't know the difference between synthetic and standard oil. They never ask you what you want anyways. It's also a gamble on what damage they do to your vehicle and don't tell you about. I've been in arguments with their young mechanics about issues with my Tundra and the one time I sided with their advice it cost me a couple thousand dollars when my water pump failed halfway in our move to California. Because we were stranded out of state waiting for the dealer to fix the truck, it was subsequently broken into, costing more to replace the broken window and items stolen from my truck. the dealer in Topeka not any better. I ordered a 4Runner TRD Pro, a very difficult vehicle to purchase due to limited production. I was already familiar with the vehicle's features due to reading the owners' manual ahead of time, but Ray took the time to answer any questions and went into detail on a lot of the Toyota programs (Toyota Care, Roadside Assistance) and iPhone apps that I was not familiar with. The service dept used to be good, but when it comes to a simple tire repair or simple warranty issue it's just a huge headache of trips and waiting time without an actual fix. After a call 1-2 days ahead of time by Dale, we arrived with in 5 minutes of the time we said we would. It took almost 2 hours to purchase a car. We didn't have a trade in, we paid in full with a check, and most of the paper work was done before we got there. We had planned on this taking 30 minutes, 45 at the most. We had a Christmas party to get to by 6:30. We got there at 5:05 and my wife didn't leave until about 7:00. I left early because I had food to take. When my wife finally arrived all of the people had stopped eating and the tables were starting to be put away. This will be the last time we do business at Little Apple Toyota. Honestly very disappointed with the customer service here. Came in here at 4 pm on a Wednesday and explained to the woman at the door that I was interested in trading in my current vehicle for a new Tacoma or 4Runner and wanted to see what they would value it at for a trade in. Despite saying this clearly and concisely she told me I "wouldn't just get what I want" when I asked if they would match a KBB or black book assessment for the value, and twice was thinking I was trying to sell her my car without buying a new one. She didn't offer to explain trims or help me in my decision making process, walked over to another sales associate to talk and told me "cars are outside if you want to look." We went outside and opened up a 4runner and looked at the Tacoma and no one came out to assist. The woman inside instead talked to a coworker by the door while we were out there. After waiting around for a significant amount of time, I explained to another associate that I was interested in their trade in offer after the saleswoman talked to him (and he too was under the impression I was just trying to sell the car to him) to which he opened up the conversation with "yeah (my car)'s just don't sell well here" and said he wasn't interested in it. Once I explained to him I wanted a new car and wanted a trade in value he finally drove my car around the shop and made up an appraisal and arrived at a figure 3K lower than the low range value on KBB. He printed off his KBB listing which didn't have any features listed (cold weather package, premium package, navigation, xenon headlights, etc). I told him this after he showed me the printout and explained that my KBB value with those items brought the car to much higher. I asked if he would be willing to pay more once those were added to the listing and he responded "no, that's all we'd offer you." Never was assisted in looking at new cars or had a conversation regarding options while waiting. Never shown different trims or asked how I could be helped, and both these individuals were generally pretty rude in their misunderstanding and assessment of my car's value. I will take my business elsewhere. Little Apple, had you been polite and offered the mid range KBB value and showed me some of the vehicles I was interested in I would have made a purchase today. read more

The sales department is awesome but God forbid you need service done or replace your breaks. I made my appointment to have my brakes replaced two weeks in advance. When I arrived the service advisor told me that they didn't have the break pads for my vehicle. I said "but you had two weeks to order the brake pads." The service advisor then said: "well, you were supposed to reach out to parts to have them order the brake pads for you." I said excuse me, but I am the customer. It is your responsibility as a service provider to order the parts needed to provide a service. To then she replied: "that's not how we do things around here." Listen, this isn't my first rodeo. If you can't take care of something as basic as ordering the parts needed for my particular service then why are you in business? I have since taken my vehicle to Lewis Toyota in Topeka for service. Been doing it the almost four years because I rather take my flagship Toyota vehicle to a place where they do have master technicians. Don't be fooled and let an entry tech work on your Tundra. That's a flagship vehicle that requires a master technician per the manufacturer and they don't have one at Little Apple Toyota. Beware! read more

Brought my 8 cylinder (80,000+ miles) Toyota Tundra last month in for oil change and full inspection as I was taking it on a road trip to Texas. Picked up my truck same day and it didn't feel right but drove home less than 5 miles away. Woke up next morning to find "new" oil puddle in my driveway. Took it back to Little Apple Toyota (after checking it to make sure I had enough oil). They said they overturned the oil filter which cracked it. They replace it. On my way to Texas i noticed a leak of fresh oil again. I am thinking Little Apple Toyota didn't clean up the original leaking oil from area (I know...wishful thinking). Took my truck into a Texas Toyota service station and found they put the wrong type oil filter on. I had to pay $100 to fix the housing. Not happy so I asked the Toyota team in Texas to do a full inspection to see if there was any other issues. I had a leak on my crank seal (I saw it upon review with mechanic) which had been there for some time. Why Little Apple didn't point it out (the multiple times it was there) I have no idea but I know they had two attempts to get an oil change right and it didn't happen.
