This was my first time going to the establishment on Northside Drive. It was perfect for a quick lunch during the work week. It wasn't busy at all. It didn't take long for our food to come out. I ordered the Atomica pizza and my friend ordered the grilled salmon salad. I got sweet tea and the sweet tea was really really good but very southern and very sweet. I also got a brownie with nuts, however that was only because it was right by the register the actual dessert menu was not very visible. I love the outdoor patio as it overlooks busy Northside Dr. There's also a small bar table to sit at right by the oven they bake your pizza in with a tv to entertain you! I have loved this place for the tortellini and the four cheese and shrimp pizza! I used to work here back in 2009/2010 and I honestly think some of the same people may work in the kitchen, hence the food is still amazing! Either way, this spot is a must try! Every now and then I have a craving for some type of salmon Alfredo. It was a Sunday night and some of my go-to places had closed or wasn't doing takeout, so I decided to give Little Azio a try since I pass by frequently and remembered they were Italian-ish. I ordered a side Caesar salad and fettuccine Alfredo with salmon online, then went over to pick it up. When I arrived, my food was nearly ready, so I only had to wait a few minutes. I got back home and was ready to dig in and satisfy my craving, but first, the salad. The salad was pretty basic - lettuce and shaved Parmesan with Caesar dressing on the side; however, there were sadly no croutons. It wasn't anything to write home about, but it did the trick. The fettuccine Alfredo and salmon was disappointing. The salmon was good - well seasoned and cooked to a good temperature - however, the fettuccine Alfredo was lacking. The noodles were slightly over cooked and the sauce just missed the mark. It tasted kinda artificial. So I wound up eating a few forkfuls of the pasta and salmon and then just finished the salmon by itself. I may try Little Azio again for pizza, but will just stick to my go-tos where the sauce is more homemade/authentic when I want fettuccine Alfredo. read more

This was my first time visiting this establishment. The place is very clean. It's not the sit down and be waited on like I thought it was. You place your order then have a seat (if you are dining in). The menu is extensive. I would suggest looking at it online before you arrive. It can be a little overwhelming trying to review it while others are behind you. The service was nice. The cashier was able to make suggestions and give his opinion on the different options and taste. My food was good. It wasn't filled with the robust flavor I expected, but it was good. The quantity was perfect for the price. The ingredients are very fresh. My dish was vegetarian so I was able to taste the sauce in its pure form. It didn't have the canned flavor, but didn't taste homemade either. My friend liked his food as well and had no complaints. Overall, I will visit again. We were treated when we walked in and he waited on us priestly until we figured out what we wanted. The Food: Little Azio offers a variety of food, including wings, pizza, paninis, salads, wraps, sandwiches, pasta, etc. The menu is pretty extensive and the prices seem fair. I ordered the beef Philly Cheesesteak ($8.75). This game with red and green peppers, American cheese, and onions, served with a side (my choice being French fries). This maybe one of the best cheesesteaks I've had in a while. Better than the Philly I had in Philadelphia. The fries were also crispy and tasted delicious. It complimented the Philly cheesesteak perfectly. Overall, this place is really good. It was a lot of people there when we went on a Monday evening. I'd definitely come here for lunch. Little Azio is a fast casual Italian chain with four locations in metro Atlanta. This location is at the Berkeley Heights mixed-use development on Northside Dr. near I-75. This is the same development where Cardamom Hill is located. It's convenient to those living and working in Westside, Atlantic Station, and Georgia Tech. Living nearby, I've visited this Little Azio several times over the years since it first opened circa 2006. It's an OK restaurant if you're looking for basic and affordable Italian food. The restaurant has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor patio is quite spacious and some of the tables are covered (from sunlight and precipitation). The design and decor of the restaurant is modern and feels like a chain. They use a brick pizza oven. It's viewable from the ordering line and dining area, so you can see the pizzas baked fresh. Order up front, take a number, and wait for your food to be brought to you. Drinks are self-serve from the fountain machines. Little Azio's menu is simple, mainly consisting of pizzas, pastas, salads, and sandwiches. With the exception of the large 18-inch pizzas (~$18+), most menu items are under $10 each. This is a reasonable value for what you get as the portion sizes are adequate and the quality is not bad. While I have no problems with the ingredients as they're typically fresh, I do think the taste of Little Azio's food is generally a step below most solid Italian restaurants. It's just not as good. You get what you pay for. For those who live gluten-free, Little Azio does offer gluten-free pizzas and pasta, so that's a plus. I've tried a little bit of everything on the menu and probably favor the pasta the most. You can choose from fettuccine, rigatoni, penne, spaghetti, angel hair, and wheat noodle pasta. There are about 10 different sauces. I'm partial to any of the noodle pastas and particularly like Azio's pesto sauce (basil, garlic, walnuts, Parmesan). Their pesto is mild and could use more garlic. The alfredo sauce consistently seems extra thick and creamy to me. The meatballs and tomato sauce are OK, as is the bolognese meat sauce. One special that isn't bad is the spinach ravioli with grilled chicken and alfredo sauce. You get six big pieces of cheese-filled, green-colored, spinach ravioli. And like the other pasta dishes, it comes with bread too. Like just about everything else on the menu, the salads and pizzas are mediocre. There are over a dozen special pizza varieties and you can also customize. Something as uncomplicated as the Margherita pizza (Roma tomatoes, mozzarella, basil) is vastly different in terms of preparation/execution. Don't expect Antico or Double Zero quality pizza. You can see and taste the difference in terms of the how the dough is baked and how the ingredients are cooked into (or on) the pizza. While Azio's isn't as flavorful, it suffices for a cheap Margherita craving. Service is usually very good. The employees are friendly, polite, attentive, and efficient. read more

My group came in on a late night run for food. We actually showed 20 minutes for the restaurant closed and the cashier was welcoming and accepting of our tardiness (Thank you sir!). As I stared at the menu a friend of mine stated that everything on the menu was good so not to worry. So after staring at the menu, as I usually do, I went for a basic pizza. The Azio. *Entree: Azio ($7.95) The Azio is a mozzarella cheese pizza with housemade sauce. The Azio was a 12 inch pizza that was decently priced. The pizza was served nice and warm and straight from their brick oven pizza. The mozzarella was nice and melted, yet I had difficulty finding some of the sauce. The inside of the store was clean and the decor was slightly upscale for a pizza fast food restaurant. The menu is projected over the cash register on three flat screen televisions. Across from the cash register is the condiment stand with your basics: silverware, soda fountain, napkins, and seasoning. In the main dining room there are large shade lamps hanging from the wall, intricate tiling behind the brick oven, and unique paintings and televisions sprinkled throughout the restaurant. Additionally, there is bar seating right in front of the pizza making station. There you can grab a cup to drink and watch the cook whip up a Little Azio favorite. Overall this restaurant deserves a B. The menus are large and easy to read, the restaurant uses a brick oven (my favorite), the prices are reasonable, and the decor is excellent for the restaurant to be priced so reasonably. Pitfalls, none to name because we really came in for a to-go order. Little Azio is definitely a place I can visit again for a lazy food day or low-key dinner date. read more

Food: They serve thin crust pizza and it is THIN. Not sure if they overload the toppings or they made the crust too thin, but for the first time using a fork and knife on pizza was a must. The flavor was delicious, but I was a little disappointed that my pizza couldn't hold my toppings. We ordered a 9 inch meat lover and a 9 inch napoletana. I personally favored the napoletana but both were good. Price: Not too pricey, we got wine and two 9 in pizzas for 35$ Surprisingly enough the two 9" were cheaper than one 18" Atmosphere: Cute little place, nothing fancy but well decorated.
