So creamy and flavorful; there's more to them than just sweetness. I think the classic was the sweetest if I remember correctly. While I was on travel my colleague purchased a cake from L'Atelier and today we served it at an event. The cake itself was custom decorated including printed logos (this was a corporate event after all). I assume the printing was done on fondant, but I'm not positive. Fondant can be controversial, and if it was fondant it was definitely not an egregious amount. The presentation was exquisite; on it's own serving platter protected by a crystal clear plastic square box - NOT a clamshell - that was then secured with an elegant ribbon. It was presented almost as one would a piece of jewelry. It was accompanied with a lovely fold-out sharing some inspirational background of Founder and Chef Marie Axelle. Exceptional presentation. Now, the cake itself ? PHENOMENAL. I have enjoyed my fair share of cake in my life - this is immediately evident upon meeting me in person. In fact, my own mother used to make custom cakes when I was younger, and I have constant access to extremely high quality cuisine including yes more deserts than I really should consume. Presentation is one thing, but if the food doesn't back it up then it's just pretense and not real quality. This cake 100% backed up the presentation ! It was surprisingly moist, making me wonder if perhaps pudding was mixed in, and the icing was just perfectly sweet enough - not overly sweet. We had a large group of people enjoying this cake, with many comments on how good the cake was, and grown adults taking slices home. That's when you know it's good :) My hat is off to Ms. Axelle, and the fine cake she presented that made an important day even more special. Thank you L'Atelier for your support, and proud to support you. Sadly because this was as private event I can't include pictures ... you'll just have to order your own !

The flavors rotate seasonally with different combo twist flavors and there's now a Mini 6 oz option as well as the 9 oz classic option with unlimited toppings! There are interesting seasonal flavors that are fun to try: - Honey Dew & Guava Cheesecake Twist - The summer flavor and sweetness of the honey dew complemented the exotic guava cheesecake flavor. - Peach Honey Goat Cheese - My favorite summer! The unique flavor is complex with a bit sweetness and a touch of savory. You can taste all of the ingredients. - Sakura: The pink cherry spring flavor wasn't that sweet and a bit tangy. - Kyoto Taro Cheesecake: A great combo of Taro and Matcha Cheesecake twist that's not too sweet and flavorful Ube Cheesecake flavor - A bit bland with a subtle cheesecake flavor. - Watermelon Basil - Fun flavor to try and tastes like a sour watermelon jollyrancher. It pairs well with the Peach Honey Goat Cheese flavor. - Black Sesame - Grey, savory flavor with a hint of bitterness. - Cookies and Cream flavor is a bit bland. - Classic Ube & Pandan Twist: I always resort back to my favorite default sweet and coconutty flavor. The Taikayi waffle cones are delicious. As the stuffed Taikyai is quite decadent, getting it hollow without any filling is the best way to go with the ice cream. Any type of filling with the ice cream becomes overload of sweetness. The Wicked Pandan Float (from the glass cooler) was delicious with layers of green coconut Pandan cheesecake custard pudding on a bed of Oreo Crumbs drizzled with salted caramel dulche leche. All of the flavors pair well together. I wasn't a fan of the Ube Dulce Leche or the Ube Oreo Floater. The Ube custard was a bit bland and didn't like the jelly topping. Skip the floats in the cooler and head straight to order the ice cream! Sign-up with the app and you can score deals and discounts via text and get notified of new flavors and when some flavors retire. My kids and I enjoyed love coming here and sharing a fun sundae! We came here a dozen times during the summer. There's both indoor and outdoor seating.

Talk to the people that work there for orders to make sure the one you want isn't running out and to ask if it's being made fresh. The workers don't ask you anything just make the food when they finally do get around to making it. The food is good but expensive for what it is, the service is a 1/100 if that is possible. Food is 6/10 could be better, honestly go to an asian market and buy ice cream there it taste better and is cheaper. Plus you don't have to feel insulted waiting nearly an hour for an order when you're the only one in the restaurant and ordered via Kiosk. The kiosk is there for convenience to disregard customer to worker interaction making it easy to just gloss over orders until they feel a type of urgency when the restaurant floods with people. ONLY THEN will you get your order faster. Upon finding out they were talking to a manager in the back disappointed me more because a good manager would say look we have an order ticket handle this first then we can continue talking but I had to wait for their conversation to end before they even began working on my order. Do i recommend this place If you order via kiosk and don't mind waiting half an hour go for it If you like mediocre mid overhyped food go for it If you value your time and money go to an asian grocery store and buy their ice cream.

I did not see it on the menu - so I asked if they had cold brew. They don't make a cold brew - but it was pointed out to me they had cans of cold brew in the refrigerated beverage cooler. Not what I wanted. I was offered iced coffee - which those of you that know - understand there is a vast gulf between iced coffee and cold brew. I ordered a large dark roast coffee - and a breakfast burrito. The menu listed that among the burritos ingredients is cheese - I requested extra cheese in my burrito - as it seems that often I cannot tell there is any cheese in a given burrito. The coffee was somewhat disappointing - rather average - but I guess I should not be surprised by that. The burrito was delivered to my table - wrapped in foil. I asked about hot sauce and the server person brought me 3 bottles to choose from - I selected the Habanero hot sauce. I cut the burrito in half - it looked like it had zero cheese in it - and I certainly could not taste any cheese. The whole thing was rather bland. It needed seasoning. So I added hot sauce and black pepper in an attempt to make it more interesting. I would come back and try some of the other breakfast items in hope of finding something more flavorful. Service was good. Paid with Apple Pay. #KatiesCoffeeHouse

The Brownie double chocolate cookie is hands-down my favorite and tastes like a fudgy brownie. The dark chocolate chips just melt! The Classic Chocolate Chip cookie was a bit too sweet and tastes like a sugar cookie with chocolate chips. I wasn't a fan of the Cookies and Cream Oreo cookie. The Cina-Cookie tastes like a buttery Snickerdoodle cookie with cream cheese filling. The Birthday Bash cookie was fun to try, but quite sweet and loaded with sugar. Highly recommend warming up the cookies in the microwave for 20-30 sec, they soften up and taste like they were just baked with that delicious ooey gooey texture. The chocolate chips just melt in your mouth! If you get delivery, the cookies are stone cold. Delivery takes 2-3 days after placing an order, even local shipping takes a full day. While it was fun to try the 4 pack of cookies with delivery, it was just too much and I was on a serious sugar overload. It would be nice to have an option to only get a set of 2 cookies with delivery. The cookies just don't taste as good cold even with reheating and it's better just to get the cookies at the shop. Will stop by for the Chocoholic double chocolate when I'm in the area. Happy to support this small NOVA business!

PLEASE NOTE: This was for nationwide shipping…read more It had been a while since I had ordered from MidnighTreats, but after a 36 hour snowstorm the winter blues had officially settled into my soul and I needed a little pick-me-up. Important reminders: each MidnighTreats cookie weighs over 1/3 pound! They're enormous, and for sure big enough to split (... to share, sure, or just to enjoy yourself later; they even recommend cutting them in half before freezing them [if they last that long]). PRO TIP: you *have* to reheat them before eating them (otherwise the flavor/taste/texture just isn't the same). Build your own box for currently $30 ($20 plus $10ish for shipping), and some of the flavors change each month. We've tried... + Birthday Bash (funfetti rainbow sprinkles cookie): personally, I like the nostalgic flavor of generic "birthday cake" that's recently become a thing, and I think they do a fantastic job capturing it! + Strawberry Shortcake (shortcake cookie smothered in strawberry icing): This was the taste of summer I needed. So bright! Just the right amount of sweet! And they definitely didn't hold back on the icing! +/- The Classic (a blend of dark and semi-sweet chocolate chips): compared to other vegan chocolate chip cookies that can be shipped to your home, this one's actually one of the better ones! +/- The Chocoholic (fudgy double chocolate chip cookie): you have to REALLY, REALLY like/be craving chocolate for this one. - Cookies N Cream (oreo bits with chocolate chips and vanilla chips): this one was just okay, and I take the blame for missing that it contained white chocolate chips which I am not a fan of. It says they're vanilla, but that's not what they taste like to me. - The Cinna-Roll: I believe the recipe for this one has changed over the years, because it used to be a cinnamon roll flavored cookie with cream in the center (and there was *barely* any of it, making it a very dry, very boring cookie). It seems it's now a cinnamon roll cookie smothered in vanilla icing, so I just wanted to make sure I had corrected info here. Other things of note: they've donated thousands of dollars to animal sanctuaries across the country! they've planted close to 20K trees with reforestation projects! they've donated thousands to local schools and shelters in their NOVA community! How can you not love a company who's built in giving back to their community in their core principles?!
