However, the nice people in there said all the whole pies, including the cream pies and quiches, were only $30, which is a steal considering that pies at Wegmans or Whole Foods are that much, or more. Apparently it's popular, so you either need to go early or luck out. The cream puffs and cookies are great, but I finally got a kouign amann. It's a lovely pastry. The sugar/thin layer of caramel on the top is substantial without being too thick. Just enough to hold and break apart. The laminated dough is nice as well. Not overly buttery, but still light and fluffy.

They walked us through how to properly whisk our own matcha and let us practice the technique ourselves. On top of that, we got to sample a variety of their teas throughout the class. The sample was strained so I didn't think the drink was going to have guava seeds inside of it. While drinking it the seeds were impossible to ignore as they were hard and small. It's like a choking hazard really. I wish they had strained it before serving. So just be warned about some of the drinks you order.
