    Woah Black Betty

The oysters were a bit bigger than I expected (I prefer smaller) the steak was good and the tuna crudo was great. Our waiter was excellent provided great service. Nice restaurant overall.

Little Betty more than exceeded every high expectation that we had and I'm so happy to report it is BEYOND worth the hype. We were greeted with the warmest hospitality you can imagine and our waiter, Chris, was so kind and knowledgeable. He thoroughly went over the menu and Emma, his assistant, didn't let our glass get less than half full all night. They were both extremely attentive and personable as well. Chef Kyle greeted us and made sure we were enjoying everything and taken care of. Each dish reflects the passion for his craft. He described a few dishes perfectly - one being the waygu croquettes. He said they were like French onion soup in a ball and deep fried. We enjoyed every bite and I told Chris that we'd take 27 more of them We also got beer carpaccio - compliments of the chef. This was my first time trying it anywhere and I was pleasantly surprised. The truffle aioli, cheese, and arugula atop thinly sliced beef that reminded me of prosciutto. Each bite was a little different - would get again. The focaccia is not to be skipped either. Warm, soft, fluffy, with flaky salt and olive oil. Done. The Caesar salad is one like we've never had before. The cured lemon set this over the top and added a tangy yet sweet component. I'm not usually one to rave about a Caesar salad but this was top tier. My spicy lobster vodka pasta was phenomenal and just the right amount of spicy. Extremely flavorful and had big chunks of lobster. The bread crumbs on top added the perfect crunch. David loved his steak and his only complaint was that he needed a serrated knife to cut it with. I heard a lady at a table beside us say the same thing Not to say that it wasn't cooked perfectly - because it was. We loved the Gouda fries and the crispy brussel sprouts were probably my favorite brussels I've ever had (!!!). The affogato was heavenly (never met one I didn't like). And they included a cannoli with a birthday candle. If you can't tell, we had an exquisite evening here. It met and exceeded all expectations. I can see us dining here for many many celebrations to come.

food was disappointing for price. service was great but the ambiance not my favorite. Its not my idea of a steakhouse (feels cramped) & I would not order the bone in or the rigatoni dish. Not on par with/price at all. the cannoli was a nice touch for our anniversary but unless u grab it with your hand to take a bite, your only scooping at the cream ends. The only thing I liked were the Brussel sprouts. Very young wait staff so a different experience but they did ok.

Let me start by saying I wanted to sample a few different items from the menu, and everything exceeded expectations. I began with the juicy crab cake, which was the perfect starter. For my entrée, I ordered an 8 oz filet, butterflied just as requested, along with a Caesar salad, potatoes, and lamb. Every dish tasted incredibly fresh, well-seasoned, and full of flavor. The ambiance was relaxing and classy, creating the perfect dining experience, and the customer service was truly top-notch from start to finish. I'll definitely be back, do yourself a favor and check them out soon!

Everything about this place was just wonderful. We keep coming back because it's perfection. The Caesar salad, the Brussel sprouts, the filet, the dessert!!!!! YUM

Came here to celebrate my birthday and the service was outstanding. The dining area was beautifully lit and gave off a romantic vibe. Definitely 5 star dining. Staff is top notch and very knowledgeable about the menu. Our waiter gave us her recommendations and she hit the ball out the park with the Cacio Pepe gnudi. Those little gnocchi bites of goodness were delish! I had the prime Nay strip medium rare with the whipped potatoes and the rosemary in them were so so good. I have no notes. Everything was outstanding. Highly recommend.

I honestly don't understand how this place doesn't have at least 4.8 stars. I'm a huge foodie, have eaten all over, and this was hands down one of the best meals I've ever had. I'll admit - I was skeptical at first since I usually avoid places rated under 4.5 (I've been scarred lol) but I'm so glad I gave it a shot. Service was flawless from start to finish - attentive staff, fresh silverware with each course, and incredible attention to detail. Honestly, even if the food had been mediocre, I'd come back for the service and ambience alone. But the food? Phenomenal. My favorite was the burrata. My fiancé had been hyping it up since his business dinner here, and I thought, "How good could bread and cheese really be?" Answer: insanely good. 10/10. The Caesar with cured lemon was one of the best Caesars I've ever had. I just wish it had croutons! The ribeye spinalis al limone and bananas foster cheesecake were both out of this world. The only miss was the wagyu bistecca. The meat was tough and chewy, not what you'd expect with wagyu. The green garlic butter and fries that came with it were great though.

I went to Little Betty Steak Bar for my anniversary, and it was definitely a 10 out of 10. Make sure you're on time and follow the dress code, because the vibe is upscale and so worth it. I ordered the ribeye, and my husband got the A5 Wagyu--both were incredible. I also had a spicy margarita, and every single thing was good and matched the ambiance perfectly. Our wait staff was attentive the entire night. Truly an amazing experience!

This place is super cute for a girls night dinner or romantic date night spot. The service was some of the best I've ever experienced. Excellent recommendations and suggestions. Most everything is shareable. We ordered so much food and nothing was disappointing! The cocktails are on the pricey side but that's to be expected. I wish the dirty martini had something a little extra to it but the caperberry was fantastic. I will absolutely be going back!

A gem of a prime steakhouse in Mountain Brook. This was recommended to us by friends of friends, and man did they hit the bullseye! A great salad to start, a PERFECT flavor packed ribeye steak and a side of delicious mushrooms. And a corkage fee to BYOB as well! This will be in our rotation for our return to Birmingham for sure, it should be in yours.

The perfect date night spot. Moody ambiance at night, attentive service from knowledgeable waitstaff. The food is ALWAYS perfect. My go to is the 8 oz filet medium rare with the caesar salad & brussel sprouts (light oil/no glaze).

From start to finish this was an incredible experience. This was also our best meal in Birmingham over 4 nights. I can't recommend this place enough. This is a can't miss. That Ribeye!

Phenomenal dining experience!!…read more Service was top notch from the hostess and host, our waiter and all of the runners. Attentive without being obnoxious, in depth explanations of items on the menu with great recommendations! We started with a half dozen raw oysters and the pork belly. Oysters were very fresh and the seasoned crackers were a nice touch. The pork belly was quite possibly the best we've ever had and we're slight snobs about it. The fennel and orange mixture was a unique blend that really complemented the smokiness of the pork belly, Our steaks were melt in your mouth good. Cooked perfectly! I wished I could've just taken a massive bowl of the macaroni and cheese home. The char on the broccolini balanced the richness of the macaroni. They were sadly out of the crème brûlée, so instead I had the vanilla and peach gelato, while my husband had the chocolate l'orange cake. The vanilla gelato had the perfect rich vanilla taste. The peach didn't taste much like peach, but the flavor was still good. The cake was light and fluffy with a great balance of chocolate and orange. The candied orange peel on top was a nice touch! The atmosphere is pretty busy so it was louder than I was expecting. However, the ability to see the wine cellar, fridge of aging meat, and a window to stop in to look at the kitchen was a lot of fun. Highly recommend!

Nice little surprise. We started with the Hunch Punch (rum-based and tropical, exactly what I wanted) and A Little Bit of Whimsy, which was so refreshing I could've had three. Service was a little slow after the first round -- our bartender got a bit busy and didn't check back in as quickly as I'd have liked -- but nothing that ruined the vibe. Atmosphere/Appearance: Set a little outside of downtown in a more urban, industrial-like area in this gem. The neighborhood was pretty quiet and we were able to find some street parking nearby. The Avondale Common House was smooth, welcoming and chill. I remember seeing the lights hanging on the roof and thinking, "yeah, I'm gonna like it here". Once inside it felt like an upscale neighborhood bar if that makes any sense. Lol. There were tons of stickers on the host stand and random license plates above it which gave it a more personal touch, like customers have come and left their mark. However, the bar looked modern, the tables are all wood with one-piece metal chairs and the ceiling had this super-cool wavy look to it! I had never seen anything like it before. Service: Riley took excellent care of us and I had no complaints. Food: I started off with the Berns Blackberry beer and it was delicious. It hardly tasted anything like beer. It had a fruity-sweetness to it and was moderately heavy. For dinner I went with their Common Burger. It contains 2 well-done smashburger patties topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, garlic aioli and a American cheese on a brioche bun. I added bacon and at the time, was able to substitute chihuahua cheese instead of the American. This was such a clutch sub because the Chihuahua cheese is creamy, with some great hints of acid flavor and it was super melty. The burger as a whole was delightful and quite flavorful. Value: Back then this burger was $13.00 and $1.50 to add bacon. That same burger now goes for $16.00 and it's still $1.50 for the bacon. Damn that inflation. SMH. But anyway, this place won't break the bank. It's a chill spot where it can be date night, gathering with friends or whatever. In conclusion, I really liked this place and I would totally pay them another visit if I'm in the area. You should check them out too!

When you walk in, you're greeted with a warm welcome and transported into an old, cozy cafe in a small French town. Our waitress, Holly, was delightful and knowledgeable about the menu. I started with a Pimm Rose Spritz and thought it was light and refreshing - I was afraid it'd taste like an Aperol spritz but it didn't - no bitterness at all. Mom got an alpine daiquiri and raved about it. We opted for escargots, a fresh baguette, and marinated olives as apps and couldn't have loved them more. The bread was warm and made a nice vehicle for the garlic sauce leftover from the escargots. I got the trout amandine and it was as divine as I remember. I had this dish back in 2020 (I know that specifically because we had to sit outside in a plastic tent to dine here) and have been thinking about it ever since. Would highly recommend. The trout is buttery and flaky and has a light almond-like sauce with slivered almonds on top. Mom got the roasted chicken and veggies and loved how it was cooked to perfection. Everything is so simple yet exquisite. Parking wasn't a huge issue, especially for it being downtown. There are spots in front of the building that you pay for on an app (it was $2) and they offered valet as well. I would absolutely have a reservation (it may even be required).
