Went here a couple weeks ago due to a craving I was having for chili chicken. It's close to my job so I gave it a try. The staff was welcoming. The sitting area is small, but that's fine for a grab and go place. The order was ready in around 5 min. For the lunch special I ordered the lunch chili crispy chicken, with a side of rice. This chicken was served with the a thick sauce, and the crispy chicken was very chewy. I always grab a quick bite here whenever I'm too lazy to drive to Greenwich for Thai food. It's the only Thai restaurant that I tend to go to in Stamford. Space is pretty tight here. Layout isn't the best. Parking can be a little annoying. Dinning during winter season is brutal since they don't have a double door. It gets pretty cold whenever someone walks in and out. Food is decent. I recently had a bowl of Thai beef noodle soup. It was okay for a cold day. Beef broth tasted like a beef paste from a jar that I usually make for myself at home. They also use dried rice noodle here .. not the soft and fresh kind that I prefer. So overall it was just okay. Another dish that we ordered was Beef Basil. It was so so. I had better elsewhere. I will probably keep coming back here since I live nearby and the foods aren't terribly bad. read more

I have been here twice in a row now. The first time, I had been seriously craving Thai food and in particular--pad thai. Mind you, I went to college in a neighborhood that has three Thai restaurants in a 3 mile radius (yes, it was amazing). I was really happy with the portion of the pad thai, but found it to be pretty dry. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to stop by again and this time decided I would try my hand at the PAD GA-­PROW (BASIL) Sautéed chilies, garlic, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, basil, and tofu. Let me tell you, THIS WAS WONDERFUL! I can't compare it to other PAD GA-PROW as I've never had this dish anywhere else, but boy, it was really good! I could have used a bit cooking on the mushroom & perhaps more tofu (I felt like the bell peppers were fillers were there should've been more tofu.) It's worth noting that we did the take out, for lunch and to which my total came out to $8.50. They did the food incredibly fast and were quite pleasant about it. TL;DR: if you are craving thai food, this place will do. It's a fast & affordable lunch option, and the quality of food is decent but nothing to rave about. read more

During these Covid times, you'd think restaurants would at least maintain their quality. But alas, quality has gone down. I got the red curry, per usual, and the tofu was plastic dry and chewy, and the sauce was sparse and a tad flavorless. Don't be fooled by the "vegan " term in the description. They don't know what that means even if you explicitly tell them! The menu says please mention if you have specific food intolerances as all ingredients of a dish are not mentioned. But the waiter rolled her eyes when I checked does an appetizer have dairy I asked her to eliminate dairy in all dishes but she gets me a Thai iced coffee with milk!!! And she doesn't think she made a mistake! I ended up leaving it as it is but paying for it. Please know what's "vegan" before it's put up on your menu and be sensitive to your customer's needs. Sad to see this place get lukewarm stars. I would def vouch for it and take my word for if you want the real deal input from someone who knows legit Thai food. I just moved here from the city. There is no "beyond" here it's just straight up Thai. My fiancé and I got a seat easily for lunch around noon over the weekend but note the restaurant is small. We had the larb chicken salad which was not the best larb but happy that I saw this on the menu. The larb could have used more crunchy texture and lime juice but the heat was there. I had the pad pra kraw which is the sweet and spicy Thai basil sauce with yummy crispy duck. We got the lunch portion which was perfect. My man got the pad ped which was with string beans and chicken - not as sweet but more spicy. We asked for both to be made with brown rice. Lunch prices are very reasonable think it ranged from $9-13. Definitely a bookmark. this place might have saved moving to the burbs from NYC for me - nice to see something authentic over the white washed umbrella "pan Asian" places. read more

My husband and I love this place. We just moved to stamford and literally live a block away so we've only ever ordered in and haven't actually been inside- BUT! The food is super good and hits the spot. We usually order a few appetizers to share and I only ever get drunken noodles. The only thing I'll say is that the drunken noodles are SO spicy! Like....mild is more like hot and hot is more like "call your family and say your goodbyes now" I can't handle anymore spices so I end up getting no spice which is kinda a bummer because it makes it sort of bland. Living nearly across the street from Kit's Thai, it made it difficult for me to finally get myself down here. I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is very small, I would estimate about 8 tables for 2. I usually get take-out or delivery. Service is alright... but I usually feel rushed. Food is great and not "toned down", the spice really comes out, but not in a bad way... it hits all the sensations your tongue can handle. Better than Kit's Thai in my opinion, Although I think each one is better at certain things... Pad Thai-Kits Drunken Noodle-Kits Curries & everything else - go to Little Buddah My favorites at this restaurant: Green Curry with Duck (Chicken Substitute) - The smoothness of the coconut milk contrasting the spice and dense flavor profile of duck is truly profound, but the duck does not reheat well, so finish before you leave. Manchurian Cauliflower: I love cauliflower to begin with but this is an excellent appetizer. The sweet and tangy flavor combined with the crisp coating is just a great way to get my juices flowing. read more

Ordered delivery twice from here last weekend and was very disappointed. I ordered the drunken noodle dish with tofu and veggies. I made sure to specify no fish oil and no egg just in case. Did that both nights that we ordered. We also called early to have the food arrive around 5:45pm which it did. The first night, I didn't have tofu in my meal. Instead there was shrimp and what looked like egg. I called to let them know of this and the person that answered the phone wasn't all that nice. She had to put me on hold to check my order before coming back to finally tell me that they will redo my meal and have it delivered in 15 minutes which it was. It was good that night when it finally arrived correctly. We ordered from them again the next night thinking there is no way they would mess up again. This time, I got what I thought I ordered except for bits or chicken. -_- When we called them back about it, they insisted that they did not make a mistake and said they would only offer a refund. Really small place. They can probably only seat around 12 people, so keep that in mind. I imagine that most of their business comes from delivery. Lots of ample parking is available across the street and the staff is very nice and attentive. I had the chili mango chicken- a chef specialty- and I got it spicy. Hmm, think sweet and sour chicken, a bad decision on my part, but I appreciated the effort. Just didn't work for me. My boyfriend had the beef drunken noodles. That was good I enjoyed "sharing" his meal. The prices are really reasonable though there seems to be a bit of uber surge pricing if you order anything with duck. I don't know much about duck so perhaps that's a common practice. Another thing to keep in mind is that they don't serve a liquor license if you are one of these people that enjoy having a nice cocktail with your meal. Totally not a big deal, but worth noting. The bad: It took 1hr + 40 minutes to get here pretty ridiculous given it's a 15 minute drive away.The spring rolls were super soggy :( Pretty gross! The gentlemen picking up the phone was rude when I asked about my delivery. The good: Beef Pad See-Ew was on point! It was just right in terms of sauce to noodle ratio. I would like to rate Little Buddha with zero stars, but Yelp does not appear to permit reviews with missing stars. This evening I ordered the mango chicken and it was awful. The chicken was fried and dry. How they managed to dry out fried chicken is a mystery. But that's not even the biggest mystery to their mango chicken: why was it fried in the first place? I have dinned in many Thai restaurants in the tri-state area, and I have always received juicy pieces of baked chicken in this dish. Unfortunately, Little Buddha has chosen the cheap and easy method of cooking. The entire dish was simply general tso's chicken, with a few pieces of cut mango scattered on top. The sauce was the same syrupy sweet general tso's sauce, as is served in local Chinese take-out spots on every street corner in America. There is nothing Thai about this dish. If Little Buddha can't make a traditional Thai mango chicken dinner correctly, then I strongly question their ability to prepare any authentic Thai food. Gentle reader, if you are looking for a quality Thai dinner, with authentic ingredients, then move past Little Buddha and keep searching. However, if all you desire is a Chinese variation of Thai food, then this is your restaurant. read more

3.5 Stars The place is small with less than 20 seats in the restaurant. It's right next to the Men's Warehouse and across the street from the shopping center. There is also street parking. I ordered food there twice. Once was take out and once was sit down. I wasn't a fan with the take out because it took 40 mins and the noodles were a little greasy. The 2nd time, I went with a bunch of co-workers for her birthday. The food is definitely better fresh off the wok. I ordered the Drunken noodles in tofu and veggies. The flavor was good and the portion was right. We all ordered from the lunch special menu which ranged from $9-$13 depending of what you want. I think the price is little high since the lunch special doesn't offer appetizer but this is literally the only authentic Thai restaurant in the area. The service was great. I remember the server is the same guy as the deliver man. Perhaps that's why delivery orders takes that long if you are not in the area. The birthday girl left almost the entire dish untouched (not because it wasn't good) and the server asked if she wanted it replaced. Today for lunch I ordered the Tom Yum Soup with shrimp (medium spice) and it was delicious! It was my first time actually trying the Tom Yum soup and I must say it is now my favorite Thai soup. I have tried the clear broth noodle soup with veggies in the past however I did not like as much as the Tom Yum. I usually get the Veggie Pad Thai (medium) or the Duck Gra-Prow Basil (medium) which are my top two favorite dishes from here! In the past I have tried Gang Raung (Yellow) with Veggies and the Gang Dang (Red) with Veggies and I must say that out of these two the Gang Dang was more preferable to me with less of a coconut flavor. I would definitely recommend this place if this is your first time trying Thai! In addition, my coworkers and I usually order online from here every Tuesday, we call it Thai Tuesday, and the online ordering and delivery service is phenomenal, super quick! read more

I lived in Jackson Heights, NYC (Queens) for a while, and had a HUGE variety of Thai restaurants in the general area (between Jackson Heights and Elmhurst/East Elmhurst). This place doesn't stand up to my NYC competitors, but it holds it's own in Stamford. Kit's is my favorite in Stamford, but this place is really good. The Pad See Ew (which was not indicated as spicy on the menu) was KICKING ME IN THE FACE with chili peppers, but I liked it. The massaman was good. Pad Thai was acceptable but was served with very few fresh greens like sprouts or scallions (this is not unusual, but I like to see more personally). The nasi goreng was great. Egg was perfect. This restaurant was in Stamford for about a year before we even noticed it. But it was our loss for missing out on it for so long. The actual restaurant is quite small, but if you're going with one other person you're set. The menu has a big range of soups, curries, vegetable dishes, rice dishes...and we haven't had a dish we haven't liked. The portion sizes are great for the price and you can even save the leftovers for lunch the next day. My favorite part...it's BYO! So bring a bottle of wine, try the crispy okra appetizer and green curry and you will go home happy. read more

Dining in or take out = 4.5 stars. Delivery = 1.5 stars I absolutely love their dumplings. Specifically, the fried pork dumplings and the hot oil sesame dumplings. Other than dumplings, I'm also a huge fan of the drunken noodles and fried rice. Garlic beef is also solid. The soups are fantastic. The chili paneer is also delicious but ONLY if eaten there - do not get this dish to go or delivered - it will get soggy. Service is always fast and friendly when dining in. Take out orders are always perfectly prepared and ready when promised. Delivery on the they hand has been horrible lately. Sometimes is arrives steaming hot in 15 minutes but lately it arrives ice cold in 1.5 to 2 hours. They always tell you 30-45 mins and are never friendly when you call asking about a late order. I wouldn't mind if 1) they told you about the long wait and 2) the food didn't arrive cold. It arrives quick and hot 1/4 of the time and 3/4 of the time it comes late makes me take 2 stars away.
