I'm confused, I heard good things but when we went the there to eat, it was a big let down. Our food was missing substantial ingredient in the dishes because they ran out over the weekend (there's a grocery store across the street). The portions where small and very little protein. This is the best Thai food that I've had in Fairfield county--(which isn't saying a whole lot, but it'll do.) My husband and I go when we're in the Stamford area, and generally get the same thing. Their pad see ew is really good, and the portions are satisfactory. Although I've been pleased when we go there, my husband has two complaints. 1) they don't understand when you ask for a little spice. They tend to put so much spice in the dish, that it overpowers the flavor. 2) they never bring out our dishes at the same time. Usually one of us has to wait for the other person to be served. Sometimes 10-15 minutes a part, which is kind of ridiculous. The only negative I have with this place is that the waitress lacks personality. It's certainly not a cultural things, perhaps more of a young person thing. She's got some growing up to do. She's just a bit flat. read more

The restaurant is small and crowded and seats about 20 people. I like the clean white tables and the presentation of the food on the plates. The prices here are a bit steep for where they're located and the quality of their food. What I tasted: Pad See Ew (3/5) = This dish wasn't particularly memorable and I felt as if anyone could've accomplished making this dish; also, some of the noodles were stuck together and when pulled apart, you could tell it wasn't seasoned correctly since there are parts of the noodles that are super dark brown (due to the soy sauce), while other parts are completely white. Chicken Noodle Soup (2/5) = The presentation of the dish was delightfully pleasing to the eye but the taste wasn't great at all (even easier to accomplish, compared to the Pad See Ew). The broth was very watery and seemed like they dumped soy sauce in for flavoring. Pineapple Fried Rice (4/5) = This was a bit better since I enjoyed the cashews, tomatoes, and pineapples in this dish. Also, the rice was curry flavored and tasted great. I asked for two small plates and one of the plates had an orange stain on it, which was disturbing for me to eat on. I was sitting in the parking lot across the street waiting for my father to come out of CVS and that's when I smelled it. Little Buddha. Garlic, Curry Powder, Lime, Utter Succulence. We just had to go and we tried, but there was absolutely no place to sit. So we came back the next day and was completely and totally satisfied. Little Buddha is authentic and fresh. Only thing I was disappointed with was that Thai Tea was a bit watery. To get a seat here try to come at off times like for a late Sunday lunch or early dinner. read more

This restaurant serves low quality Thai food. I tend to judge Thai restaurants by their drunken noodles because it's a staple dish. The drunken noodles here were sweet even though it's supposed to be spicy (and I specifically asked for medium spicy!) My husband hated his meal here and completely regretted choosing this restaurant to have lunch. Needless to say, we won't be coming back. It is packed with flavor and then finishes with a bit of heat. ooh... an appetizer journey... The beef rendang and all the curry especially the masamang curry with beef also pack alot of flavor. It's such a tease that they cook fantastic food but it takes forever for them to deliver. Maybe it's the long wait and anticipation that makes the food taste wonderful but that would be a disservice to how good it actually tastes. I'd been wanting to try Little Buddha for awhile, and finally got the chance to do so recently for lunch. Overall, I was very pleased with the meal I had there and definitely plan on introducing it into my family's take-out rotation. The two dishes we tried were both spot-on in terms of flavor and seasoning: the only major negative was the space in which the restaurant was located. The room is small (there are less than 10 tables) and, on a chilly December day, quite chilly. The waitress greeted us wearing a parka, which more than understandable: with the small space and the constant opening and closing of the door, there's no way it could be well-heated. That being said, at a warmer time of year, the restaurant would be a fine place for a lunch or casual dinner. And in the winter, I'd do take-out in a heartbeat. I had the chicken massaman while my bf ordered the tom yum noodle bowl with tofu. I have a soft spot for massaman, and Little Buddha's was pretty fabulous: definitely better than the one served at Kit's Thai Kitchen. The dish was rich in flavor thanks to the brightness that the spices brought and creamy without being too much so. My bf was also very pleased with his noodle bowl. It didn't strike me as particularly traditional in terms of the flavor of the tom yum broth, but it was nonetheless tasty. The only minor negative was the tofu, which wasn't the best choice to go in the soup (it didn't really soak up much of the flavor of the soup). If I were to order it again, I'd probably go with chicken or pork. read more

When I first tried the yellow curry, I thought I was back in Thailand. It had the same thick base (not the usual watery stuff you typically find at Thai restaurants in the U.S) as well as the strong flavor. I've also had the green curry, which has the same thick base and flavor, as well as the pla rad prik (crispy fish with spicy garlic tamarind sauce). It may not be for everyone, but after visiting Thailand two years ago, it brought back fond memories of all the great things I ate there. I was pleasantly surprised at this place and they even give you discounts for ordering online and on your birthday, too. I haven't ventured beyond the curries or the fish, but I see no reason to. Also, be warned that there is limited seating inside and you will likely have to wait 15-20 min during peak meal times. read more

Little Buddha is a very small place, all of their tables are 2 tops. I visited with a party of 5 and the tables nearby had to scoot over to make room for ours. I think the whole place only seats about 15 people. Service was fast and attentive at lunch time and they offer 9$ lunch entrees as well. I ordered the Yellow Curry with chicken in the Big Bowl Noodle Soup category, for $11. It's flavored with coriander and ginger and hearty with chunks of potatoes, carrots, chicken and thin noodles. I ordered Pad See Ew with tofu and veggies, no egg. I wanted Pad Thai with tofu and veggies, without egg and without fish sauce but was told today there was a different chef and that couldn't happen. Their menu says to let them know if you don't want egg or fish sauce. Awkward... Anyways, I ordered the Pad See Ew. It was flavorful, but the tofu was beyond fried. There were a good amount of vegetables though. I wish I had asked for a little heat, but the flavor was sweet, as it should be. Curry tasted good. However, their description on the menu do not match the food they presented. Mine suppose to have string bean, but i got ONE string bean (chopped into 3 pieces). My Pastor got mango chicken, he got only one piece of mango, and lots green pepper which he does not like....but he still says the chicken taste good and didn't complaint at all, he said he always ordered take out here and love it. Little Buddha is located next to the Men's Warehouse and has minimal seating inside--maybe 4 tables of 4 can fit. It's small and probably better for take out. Service was friendly and menu standard Thai offerings. I always order my regular - green curry and Pad Thai at a new place to see how good the preparation is. The portions are normal, not too small or large. The flavor was just okay for both, not anything special or memorable. I remember thinking I wasn't impressed but I was not disappointed either. Wasn't sure since some of the reviews on their soup was that it was dried noodle and soup base was is a paste. I got the duck soup and it was great! Yes, the noodles were not fresh but dried but the broth was flavorful and the duck was succulent. Overall awesome! Pork dumplings were great and highly recommended. Pretty disappointing. Had heard good things about this place, but I was surprised by the lack of quality. We had the drunken noodle and Tom yum soup. The drunken noodles were oddly sticky/spongy.. very weird texture. Flavor was ok. The beef was a little tough/overcooked. Portion size is good. The worst part was probably that the dish was SWEET. We asked for medium spice and we were very disappointed, as drunken noodle is a traditionally spice dish. The Tom yum soup was a travesty. Its basically a tomato base with fish sauce, sugar, and salt. Can't taste any coconut... and more importantly where's the lemon grass?? Can't believe they charge $6 for a cup. I've eaten here multiple times and always get the same thing the kee mao fried rice with a side of peanut sauce. Last night I placed an order for delivery, the delivery time was pretty fast seeing that they told me it would be an hour and food came a half an hour early. The food was horrible! I don't know if they got a new chef but my dish seemed incomplete as if it was missing some ingredients. Also it looked different the rice is normally more brown it looked like regular rice. The peanut sauce was also off very tangy as if it was rancid. Ended up throwing the whole thing out as I feared getting food poisoning. On the hunt for a new Thai restaurant now. I also ordered to potato curry puffs for the first and those were just okay. Left nothing to be desired. My friend ordered the pad see ew and enjoyed her meal. read more

Ordered take out and it took over 2 hours to deliver, we live 15 minutes away. Calls to the restaurant were answered "he's almost there". Once they connected us to the driver who said he was on our street, but 20 minutes later no delivery!!!! Food is decent, not as good as kits kitchen (sadly closed), but the staff is consistently RUDE in a way that I find hard to understand. It is as if they really don't care. I have eaten at Little Buddha quite often since moving to Stamford and I enjoyed every meal. I have eaten at the restaurant however I usually order for pick-up. I have ordered the pad ga prow, the gang dang, the tom kar soup, the spring rolls, as well as a few other items. Each time, it has been ready when I arrive and the staff has been polite. The portions are also fairly sized and the food is delicious. The environment inside is small but cozy. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

I ordered a simple pad Thai for lunch and can't possibly understand how they're charging $12 (almost $13 after tax) for sub par food when Ochas has it for 7.95. Food lacked flavor and tasted bland.
