I decided to revisit my teen years and have Little Ceasar's pizza with crazy bread. I had a fresh hot pizza within minutes, and served with aloha. This was my first time having the thin crust pizza at little Caesars. I think I'll stick with a regular crust, but you can't beat the crazy bread. There's something about butter soaked bread sticks covered in Parmesan cheese that keeps me coming back. I always have pleasant experiences here, and appreciate that I can revisit my teen years right here in Hilo. read more

Checked out Little Caesars on Yelp today and saw that their very first image was a picture of their pizza in the trash. I absolutely love "trash pizza reviews," so I knew I had to visit. The staff was awesome, the service was impeccable, and the pizza did not disappoint! The second I picked up that cheesy triangle slice of cardboard, I knew I'd hit the jackpot. Went to little Caesar's at 9:30pm before closing time at 10:00pm as I was ordering from the cashier all 4 of the staff had a very rude look because I was ordering my pizza last min. They have a drive-up window but warning it is impossible to get into when coming off the street and drive past it instead of turning right before LC (which I assume takes you around). You need to go down the street and turn around to come up or break the law and scrape your rims by doing a 5 point turn. For an out of the way location this place rocks. Last minute decsion so order inside. The cashier was patcient and very helpful. Food was ready in less than 15 minutes. The pizza is usually made fine but they need major help with getting the orders ready ON TIME! I have yet get my order made on time. It's either made way too early and been waiting forever on the shelf warmer OR you have to wait and wait and wait and then have them say they haven't actually started making your order yet. Finally picked pizza up here. Had to call order in as it their online ordering is very limited with options. We like crust extra baked ( golden bottom) but that option was only available on the create your own pizza. Also not sure why you can't modify the pizzas, again only on the create your own. I got the pepperoni/cheese stuffed crust for hubby, he thought it was pretty tasty and said the sauce had some zest to it. I ordered the Italian sausage deep crust and it was good although due to being so think the ratio of sauce/cheese was weak, it felt more like a thick crust w/ sausage and light cheese, barely noticed sauce. We ordered a cheese and an ultimate supreme with crazy bread. The "crazy" bread is mediocre (they used to be huge and fluffy). The only flavor on the pizza was from the toppings and even then it wasn't enough to enjoy it. It was disappointing. We did an in store pickup which was fine. First it wasn't even round. The meats were over cooked, or pretty much burnt, the outside crust was over cooked, and there was barely any sauce or cheese, that was probably why the meats just fell right off each slice as we tried to take one. If you're as averse to human interaction and dealing with all the nonsense that can come with it, you'd be absolutely enthused to find out that the new Little Caesars in town not only allows you to just show up and pick up a hot-and-ready pizza, but to stay in your car throughout the process! That's right; this Little Caesars actually has a pizza drive-thru. Who ever could have envisioned such a paradise!? Having recently experienced this wonder myself, I can safely say that it is as incredible as it sounds. Struck by a sudden urge to eat too many slices of pizza and endure approximately three hours of self-loathing, I set out to try this Lil' Caesars for myself. Located right in the heart of town, across the street from Hilo Shopping Center, you'll find that there are basically three access points to the lot on which this establishment sits. Two of which are on Kekuanaoa Street. Ignore these, as they're really best utilized as exits. The one entrance you'll want to use is the one on Kilauea Ave., assuming you're turning right into the lot (making a left turn there can be hellish, depending on the time of day). But, either way, it offers you the smoothest path around to the drive-thru. The other routes (particularly the one behind the restaurant itself) can require a bit of maneuvering to turn around in their lot so that you can actually get into the drive-thru. As for the food itself, it's fast food pizza. Go in expecting that and you'll not be disappointed! It's not like you're eating at a pizzaria in Naples or anything like that. Just enjoy it for what it is! The pizza I picked up, a hot-and-ready, pepperoni Extra Most Bestest was TheBomb.com and it totally hit the spot. The only Little Cesars in Hilo, sadly does not bring the nostalgia of Little Cesar's I once knew. It is smart for a customer to order ahead online and to avoid any traffic, so I followed that advice, as this place is known to have a busy drive-through. They have a area in the store where you can get your order yourself, enter your code and pick up your order and leave, which is convenient (+2stars). When asked for peppers or Parmesan cheese I had to wait as the two employees were a bit busy. Finally I got seen, but I was told no cheese and all they had were the peppers so I got only peppers. They seemed nice, Just wish there was a place for customers to set their orders down to get any extra toppings/ napkins they needed. Besides that, inside the store was still new and nice, chairs are against the wall for customers to wait with working AC; it was not busy the day I went (Sundays seems less busy) (+1 star). As for the food, I was hoping for better results. My online order included regular baked pizza with stuffed * round * crust. I should have chosen well done instead, because it seemed pretty soggy and underbaked. It was hard to see the crust was stuffed with cheese at all. The cheese did not seemed evenly spread on the pizza. It wasn't pleasant considering I ordered ahead. Maybe next time I order ahead I will simplify my order a bit more, and choose well done.
