Italian cheese bread with bacon. Side of included red sauce.
Brandy H.

My kids love this place. Cheese bread is their favorite and with the addition of bacon, how can you go wrong. The staff is always friendly, but sometimes you have to wait longer than the originally quoted time to receive your order.

Crazy bread topped with Sausage
Laketa J.

This crazy bread topped with sausage gave me life!! It was fresh and hot! Service was good and it has that well known Little Caesar vibe.

Burnt crazy bread

The food was so mid. I go to this place often, and the one time it WAS edible, I got a really kind employee to remake my pizza, which wasn't made correctly in the first place. This last visit I ordered pizza with light cheese and extra sauce, lol guess what I got. Also, there's no option for garlic crust in the app, and in the store they'll tell you they could put it on for an extra charge, but don't have any way to charge you for it. Left with an unedible pizza but I'm thankful I have dogs that would enjoy it. The crazy bread is also awful, why is it BURNT!

once again, "hot -n- ready" pizza isn't "ready". Had to wait 10mins just for a cheese pizza.

Once I saw the menu in person (not the same online, more options), I wanted to try so much! I end up ordering a fish plate. I'm so glad they grilled option. I had it with green beans and fried okra. The fish was seasoned to perfection and it was served hot! The okra was really good as well. They were seasoned good as well. Plus they weren't greasy and heavy. I also had the cheeseburger. OMG! It was so juicy. I enjoyed all of the fresh toppings from the onions, lettuce, and tomatoes! My hubby had the lemon pepper hot wings and Parmesan cheese fries. Unfortunately, I couldn't try neither of those, but I will soon! ;) The service was really good! They made the experience all the better. The ambiance was super casual and filled with a Memphis themes. I can't wait to go back and try other menu items. I loved it!

YOU KNOW WHAT I LOVE ABOUT A PLACE???…read more KIND EMPLOYEES!!!! I swear. That'll win me over in a damn heartbeat. I had never been to JD's before --but my husband had brought me some wings home from there before and I loved them. I was a little intimidated because I didn't know what the heck to order and the man behind the register was so patient and informative and friendly that I already plan on going back JUST for that. But let me tell you about the wings -- we got their 10 of their Buffalo (medium) wings and then 10 Honey Love (mild) wings and booooooooy were they perfection. They were fresh and delicious and mostly flats so it really must've been my lucky day lol!!! This might seem like a small thing (but it's not to me), but their ranch was fire, too! I can't wait to go back and I'm just mad at myself for not taking any pictures first I got the wings to go but waited inside while my order was being prepared and the inside of the restaurant is just fine and there was a TV on so I could watch the game which was great! I think they mostly serve people to go, though, because I was the only one inside aside from those picking up orders.

It was definitely a lively spot, although it was very loud, which made conversation a little difficult at times. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the atmosphere. Our table ordered a variety of items, including burgers, pizza, buffalo chicken pizza, a chicken pesto flatbread, quinoa bowls, and a berry salad. I ordered the chicken pesto flatbread, but it lacked flavor and I ended up asking for hot sauce to give it some taste. There was also a delay when the restaurant ran out of silverware, and we had to wait for plastic utensils. Out of our entire group, the only person who really enjoyed their meal was the one who ordered the berry salad. While the restaurant has a cool vibe and seems like a great place to hang out for drinks, music, and events, the food was disappointing overall.

I had the veggie plate with butter beans (they were a bit sweet and limas, not true butter beans), fried squash (the slice it long ways and hand batter), spinach mashed potatoes, and deviled eggs (delicious, no notes). I tried both hush puppies and a roll. Personally, the hush puppies weren't my favorite, but the roll was buttery goodness:). Most importantly, I asked our server at the beginning if they still had chocolate cobbler and if they were running low to go ahead and bring it out. At first they had plenty, but a few minutes later cobbler was in front of me because she noticed it was running low. So dessert first! Don't mind if I do:) it was warm, gooey, and delicious. Others in my group had the chicken fried steak, and chicken tenders. Everyone was very happy with their meals! Service was great, though the kitchen was a little slow. It took about 30 mins to get our meals. Fun, old timey atmosphere - great service - and delicious home cooking. Will definitely be back.

As soon as you're seated, you'll have a tempting signboard presented at your table with every southern classic you can imagine. With entrees like fried chicken and catfish, endless sides like turnip greens, white beans, and just about anything you can imagine fried, and every kind of southern pie, it's all there. The catfish is magnificent, with that wonderfully gritty cornmeal batter surrounding flaky, tender fish. The complimentary roll is also delicious! And the servers are very nice here! But there are some downsides. The fried okra, my favorite southern side dish, is actually soft and soggy. No self respecting southerner would ever make soggy fried okra. It's about the worst I ever had. And the onion rings, which are hard to mess up, were burnt black and lacked flavor. They were inedible. The cashier is rude and doesn't have time for "thank you" or small talk or a smile or even giving you your receipt when nobody else is in line to pay their bill. That's just how it is. If you want good catfish, Sling Shot Charlie's will come through. But if you want a southern culinary experience that's enjoyable, there are much better places to have it!
