The Fanceroni Pepperoni Pizza is nothing like the picture! No where near 100 pieces of pepperoni! Look at the pictures nothing alike!

Last night we had a cast party after the at Moorpark High School play. I called into the store about 20 minutes before we needed the pizzas around 9:30pm and ordered 12 hot-and-ready pizzas. 6 cheese and 6 peperoni. When we went to pick them up, they had all of the pizzas ready for me and within a couple of minutes they had whipped up 6 orders of crazy bread for me as well! Great, friendly people who really want to make your experience good! the full-size large pizza which are on point with Domino's or Pizza Hut butt these are true full size pizzas. PIZZA! PIZZA!

I just recently celebrated my birthday here in the private room and the staff were really attentive and helpful. I finally got to try their pizza and it was definitely delicious. Top drinks to try: yuzu lemon drop (sooo good), paper planes, and the cucumber smash! Appetizers: Mac n cheese balls are always a crowd pleaser and Brussel sprouts were my favorite. Mains: the chicken scallopini, the sand dabs!!! So good, and the beef short ribs!

Starting with the good... Ambience - Cozy and inviting. Service -- Warm, friendly and attentive. We were quite impressed with everyone who took care of our dining experience starting with the hostess, to our sweet server Danielle, the food runner and to the exceptional busser who kept our table cleared, water glasses filled, then packaged our leftovers. Kudos to Freda's for this. The Focaccia Rustico -- This was the best part of our meal. It came out freshly baked and so satisfyingly delicious as we dipped in the small bowl of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Portions - Generous. Parking - Lots of options nearby and free. The disappointments...(see pics) Food delivery - There was a long wait during our visit. We overheard a waitress tell a table who arrived after us that the kitchen was backed up. Gnocchi -- This did not look like the picture on their website. The gnocchi was perfectly cooked but was barely covered with sauce. My husband initially thought that they served me Mac n' Cheese by mistake. I could not taste the sun-dried tomato at all. The added shrimp was seared on only one side and was severely under seasoned. Then as we drove home, I notice that the price we were charged ($25+$9 (shrimp)=$34) did not match the menu or the website that noted $24+$8=$32. This overcharge was minor but added to the overall disappointment. Braised Short Rib - This was closer to the website but with far less au jus. The carrots were terrible. They were not roasted, tasted boiled and had a rubbery texture. The short rib was fork tender but very salty. The mashed potatoes were good. We skipped dessert. Sadly, we won't be returning.

The flavors are consistent, rich, and somehow even better with each visit. This time, the meatballs were hands down some of the best we've ever had--perfectly seasoned, tender, and full of flavor. We also tried some of the baked pastas, which were absolutely comforting and delicious. And their special gnocchi? Incredible. Soft, flavorful, and truly something special. And of course, I can't forget the pizza--it was absolutely amazing. Honestly, no need to drive all the way to LA to places like Pizzeria Sei... this spot delivers that same level of quality right here. You can tell there's real care in the food here. It's quickly becoming one of our go-to spots with the family. Already looking forward to our next visit!

**Utter Disappointment**…read more I followed the strong reviews and decided to try Magma Pizzeria for takeout through DoorDash. I ordered the Queen Margherita with added cheese and pepperoni. The pizza arrived about 20-30 minutes later, and while delivery temperature can affect a pie, it usually cannot hide whether the pizza itself is well-made. Unfortunately, this one missed the mark. The box had oil pooling on one side, which was not a great first sign. The crust was cooked around the edges, but the center was thin, soft, and doughy underneath. The added cheese and pepperoni were far too salty together, almost as if they belonged to a different pizza entirely, rather than working with the Margherita base. The basil was strong, which I expected from a Margherita-style pizza, but what felt missing were the diced or sliced tomatoes. Instead, it came across more like red sauce with heavy pizza seasoning, and not in a good way. Overall, the pizza felt rushed and should not have left the kitchen in that condition. I wanted to like it based on the reviews, but this was not a good pie. I'm hoping for better pizza options in the Camarillo/Thousand Oaks area moving forward. I won't be back.

Within ten seconds of walking in, I was greeted by Ama, who set the tone for the whole visit. She was warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout. She even let me sample different gelato flavors and suggested some great dishes to try on my next visit. That kind of thoughtfulness goes a long way. The affogato here is on another level. Most places serve it in a paper cup where the espresso and gelato just blend into a mushy mess. Not here. Carrara's presents it beautifully on a stone tray, with a proper espresso cup and a transparent glass so you can actually see the layers of gelato and espresso. And Ama personally poured the espresso tableside, which really topped off the whole experience. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

Much to my surprise, it was about as lively as I had remembered it. The Alley was established during Covid times and offered a retreat to escape from the humdrum of the homestead. These days, its friendly vibe welcomes neighbors and visitors with a backyard setting strewn with twinkle lights and family-style tables. It's a causal scene and easy to soak in the live music, sunlight/moonlight, and neighborly banter. The layout resembles an alley with shops on either side, big open doors invite you to grab something to eat, sample a drink, or shop for handmade gifts. On one side, you've got craft brews and coffee roasters. On the other side, it's local wines and piping hot pizzas. Dogs are welcome all around. At the center of it all, there's live music on the weekends. Modeled after a Beer & Wine Garden concept, The Alley features Enegren Brewery (beer), Lucas Sellers (wine), California Coffee Republic (java), Fire & Vice (pizza), and The Craft House (non-alcoholic tchotchkes). As a self-proclaimed wino, I opted for a sampling of the Lucas Sellers Wines. Ashley, who was behind the bar and top of the pours, gave me good suggestions and offered anecdotes about each wine on tap. At the end of the night, my light pinot paired perfectly with the Mushroom Arugula pizza from Fire & Vice. And I felt right at home, surrounded by friends.
