So, I dropped by Chick-fil-A in Simi Valley to try their much-recommended Cob Salad with Avocado and Lime Dressing. The lettuce was fresh and was enhanced by newly cooked fried and chopped chicken breasts with tomatoes, and other condiments. The salad was cased in a plastic container and was fully closed in a transparent manner. I also ordered 3 chicken breast fillets and tomato catsup; the chicken was fresh and was hot to the touch when it was served. I'd like to specially mention the smoking ladies at the front desk who took our orders. They were excellent ambassadors to the barns who made us comfortable as we experienced our first time to dine at the store. I often order and run at the drive in and never had a chance to enter the stores wherever I've been assigned to work. So, if you want to dine at an excellent Chicken store showcasing healthy options from chicken to salads that will make you keep coming for more, drop by Chick-fil-A chicken and enjoy their food to the max! Out of the CFAs that I've been to that have the 2-lane drive thru system, this location has the worst. I enter the drive thru yesterday around 7pm and didn't exit until 7:25. Not to mention that the woman who took my order kept was asking the same questions, giving me the impression that she wasn't even paying attention. I haven't been to a Chik-fil-A in about 5-6 years and today's experience has reminded me why. It's just not a good value. There was only one person in line before me during the lunch hour. The drive-thru was busy with a full line. There were a few people dining in. The cashier was nice, friendly and I easily paid with Applepay. I was even pleased to see the bathroom was clean. No kids were playing in the kids play area which I know most fast foot restaurants have done away with. But the most disappointing thing was the price of $11.31 for the 12 piece grilled nuggets which is about 4.5-5 oz of grilled chicken. I don't even think it's 100% breast meat. I believe it's rib meat that is pressed and formed to make the "grilled nuggets". Needless to say I was starving after I ate my nuggets but I was not about to spend another penny on the food here. This was my first time eating Chick-fil-A in years! And i don't eat fast food pretty often but my experience here was just such a pleasant surprise!! The staff was all kind, Daniela helped me in the drive through and she was so kind and joyful! I went inside to eat and the staff inside even checked up on me at my table. I like how they were attentive to cleaning the tables after customers left. And I love how they have a whole organized section full of condiments, hand wipes, bags, honey, and so much!! And they even had fresh flowers on their tables. I really loved it and it didn't even feel like a fast food place, it felt like a restaurant inside. The chicken nuggets were delicious and the spicy chicken sandwich was also really good! I think the spicy chicken sandwich is just a little too dry for me. As soon as we walk in, the greetings were so pleasant and welcoming. The cashier was amazingly sweet, great attitude and smile! Also a young man help me, when my drink needed to be refreshed, and I wanted to try the new Cherry Berry Sprite, which was very delicious, he went out of his way to bring it back to me at our table. My son went up again to the register and was greeted with another cashier who was explicitly well mannered and greeted him so kindly. Her well put together manners greatly showed. This is an updated review for the new Honey Pimento Chicken Sandwich. You're gonna love this sandwich but not something you can even eat twice a month. We tried the grilled version & the spicy version. First, the honey is drizzled on the outside of the bun, making for a super messy bag as it melts and leaks out of the containers. They do try to give you a wrap on the sandwich to hold it together but it was toast by the time we got home also covered in melted honey. Trying to get my spicy + tomato out of the package was hard enough but the honey made it super slippery to handle , while i love tomatoes the added tomato made it soggy. Skip the tomato or any add -on as the sandwich is super rich & decadent tasting and needs nothing else . Also skip the chick fil a sauces . The pimento is creamy & gooey so you won't need extra sauce . the heat from the jalapeño kicks up all the flavors and the cool crunch from the pickles balances out textures . He had the grilled version added tomatoes and lettuce and could barely hold it together . Do not plan on eating this in your car unless you have a tarp and a box of napkins LOL . It's the messiest sandwich ever. The bag leaked and sticky hot melted honey was all over my glass table . The richness, got to me about 2 bites in and i seriously had a stomach ache. I finished the rest of the sandwich today for lunch, and afterward felt so heavy , weighed down and really gross. Horrible experience. Ordered mobile drive thru, the person who took the name did not read back order. When I got to the pickup I was told this was a curb-side order, even though my screen said drive thru. I wait 10 minutes there to hear my payment did not go through, which has always worked. Dip it in the chik-fil-a sauce! Drive thru was super quick, smooth, & intuitive. Very clean, both the floor, tables, and chairs. The food is expensive. But the service is great. Normally, at fast food restaurants, when you order inside, you wait until your number is called. Here, they bring you the food. Eating the food, it was great. Very tasty. The spicy chicken deluxe tasted awesome compared to places like McDonald's, Burger King and Carl's Jr. But it's high in sodium. The fries were too salty. I saw a guy pouring salt into the fries and I thought, isn't the fries salty enough? The different types of sauce they had were great. Never tasted their sauce before. Unique and very good. The service was unlike anything I've seen at a restaurant. They had employee's walking around, asking how do we like the food, do we need anything, having small conversations, etc. To me, that's called caring about your customers instead of ignoring them or treating them as a number. All restaurants should emulate Chick-fil-A. In the end, eating here once in a while it is fine, a little expensive, the place is clean, the food is great but salty, however, the customer service is fantastic. A gentleman from the team even held the door open for me as I arrived, which I thought was very classy. I was greeted with lots of smiles, good mornings, and positive energy. It was clearly inedible. I called. No answer. Left a voicemail. No reply. 24 hours later I came in with my receipt, they apologized and gave me a refund. They never acknowledged my inconvenience. 1. I had no food in house 2. Salad was inedible and I unable to drive back to get a replacement 3. My son happily ate his meal while I sat at the table with nothing.
