On every occasion, all our food has come to the table COLD. While the staff is eager to remake it once we say something, the issue is never fixed on the front end which leads to a lot of wasted food..which is frustrating and completely avoidable. We keep coming back hoping it's finally been addressed, and it never has. The overall experience feels extremely low-effort. Food is served on paper & with plastic, which immediately cheapens the visit. Much of the food comes out looking unappetizing, as if it's been slopped onto the plate, and at times it even looks microwaved rather than freshly prepared--especially disappointing for a BBQ restaurant. The food being delivered by a robot is also completely out of place and honestly awkward. It doesn't fit the restaurant at all and draws uncomfortable attention when it comes to the table rather than enhancing the experience. The bathrooms are another issue. They've been dirty on multiple visits, and there are no paper towels at all--only one of those hand blow-dryers. That might work in an airport, but it's incredibly impractical in a restaurant, especially when you're trying to clean kids' hands or faces after messy BBQ. The only reason we've continued to give this place chances is the friendly staff, and the hope that maybe the next visit would finally be better. The ice cream shop next door is honestly one of the biggest reasons we stop at all. Overall, the experience feels bare minimum. I'd rather run through a drive thru chain. It's unfortunate because this place has potential..but it's hard to recommend unless real changes are made. For now this was our last visit.

Kahuna basically means "wise", and it would be a wise choice to try Big Kahuna out…read more I really like their namesake wings. Rather than toss them in sauce they coat them in a rub: Original, Fire, or Blazin. Blazin is a bit on the hot side for me but okay if tried separately. The rubs are so tasty you don't even need the sauces, but they are flavorful as well. My favorites so far are the spicy bleu cheese and the spicy garlic. I thought the sweet chili lime was a bit too watery and didn't love the cilantro lime ranch but I really haven't gone wrong yet. I wish I could go more often but Big Kahuna is on the pricier side as far as wings go, though the drum wings have a good amount of meat.

In the times we've waited as well as when we've ordered takeout, one observation is that typically the person(s) that are supposed to great those that order take out, are often busy chatting with restaurant patrons and others rather than being attentive to those waiting for their takeout orders. The food quality seems to be slipping. We've eaten at this location many times and while we can say that the sandwiches are decent, the boneless wings (Which we've ordered many times) are subpar at best. We've continued to apparently mistakenly give the wings a try and they get worse and worse as they are very overcooked time and time again. The last time we visited, both orders of boneless wings were super dry and rubbery. No amount of sauce can fix that. It was very unpleasant and our guest that we invited to dine with us and we purchased their meal, experienced the same low quality wings. It wasn't a good first impression. If we come back, we won't be ordering these ever again. Hoping the staff will make efforts to provide better quality food. We'll invest our discretionary money elsewhere when we want to enjoy an evening out.

John and I usually get a cold beer with dinner, and tonight it was SO COLD:). I had the chicken tenders and John had the pork tenderloin with apricot sauce. I chose the tenders tonight because the order is kinda large and I knew I would want the leftovers for lunch tomorrow. The seasoning on the wings and fries is second to none. And the jalapeño ranch is on point! John said the pork with apricot sauce was just the right amount of heat, which was a nice surprise. And the pork was cooked exactly how it should be! The best part of our meal was the newly added menu item Smoked Cream Cheese with hot honey. I'm not kidding when I say this was epic. The heat was perfect, but the bbq chips are what pulled this together. I will get this every time we dine here. And as always, our servers were great and fun. Logan and Gabby have never let us down. I love restaurants where the folks enjoy their jobs. I wasn't sure about BKW when they opened in Maryville, but I am now so glad they did. Who knew a wing place would have such a nice selection of food that doesn't feel so much like bar food. Additionally, the noise level is always good, and there isn't lots of distraction. (It's hard to enjoy your date when you can't hear what is being said) Thanks BKW!

Big Kahuna's Wings…read more Big Kahuna's has quickly become one of those places I'll happily return to. The restaurant was clean, open, and inviting from the moment we walked in. The layout flows well, the signage is clear, and everything felt welcoming and well thought out. One detail I especially appreciated was a sign displayed on the wall near the kitchen that speaks to their commitment to high-quality food and excellent service. I love when a restaurant is willing to put its values front and center for everyone to see. More importantly, they backed it up. The customer service here was top-notch. The service was excellent from start to finish. The bartender was friendly, attentive, and genuinely enjoyable to talk with. The manager took time to visit with us and share a little about the business, including the owner's expansion to multiple locations and the charitable work they do in their communities. It's always nice to support people who invest back into the places they serve. The food was the star of the show. The traditional wings and the Kahuna wings (full-size wings) were both fantastic. The dry rubs were outstanding--we tried the Original and Fire, and both delivered great flavor. Of all the sauces we sampled, the Garlic Parmesan Buffalo was the clear winner. Right behind it was their homemade barbecue sauce, which was absolutely incredible. In fact, it may be my favorite barbecue sauce I've had in a long time. Both were packed with flavor and worth ordering again. The homemade chips were also a pleasant surprise, loaded with seasoning and flavor. The only item that missed the mark for me was the smoked cream cheese special. It seemed a bit overdone, which took away some of the creamy texture. I think it would really shine paired with a pepper jelly or something similar to add a little sweetness and contrast. Overall, this was a strong four-star experience. If Yelp allowed half-stars, I'd happily give it 4.5 stars. Great atmosphere, outstanding customer service, delicious wings, excellent sauces, and a business that appears to care about both its customers and its community. We'll definitely be back.
