This place is so good. While, I didn't get a picture of the macaroni and cheese or the baked beans, I promise you they are worth trying! John and I usually get a cold beer with dinner, and tonight it was SO COLD:). I had the chicken tenders and John had the pork tenderloin with apricot sauce. I chose the tenders tonight because the order is kinda large and I knew I would want the leftovers for lunch tomorrow. The seasoning on the wings and fries is second to none. And the jalapeño ranch is on point! John said the pork with apricot sauce was just the right amount of heat, which was a nice surprise. And the pork was cooked exactly how it should be! The best part of our meal was the newly added menu item Smoked Cream Cheese with hot honey. I'm not kidding when I say this was epic. The heat was perfect, but the bbq chips are what pulled this together. I will get this every time we dine here. And as always, our servers were great and fun. Logan and Gabby have never let us down. I love restaurants where the folks enjoy their jobs. I wasn't sure about BKW when they opened in Maryville, but I am now so glad they did. Big Kahuna's Wings Big Kahuna's has quickly become one of those places I'll happily return to. The restaurant was clean, open, and inviting from the moment we walked in. The layout flows well, the signage is clear, and everything felt welcoming and well thought out. One detail I especially appreciated was a sign displayed on the wall near the kitchen that speaks to their commitment to high-quality food and excellent service. I love when a restaurant is willing to put its values front and center for everyone to see. More importantly, they backed it up. The customer service here was top-notch. The service was excellent from start to finish. The bartender was friendly, attentive, and genuinely enjoyable to talk with. The manager took time to visit with us and share a little about the business, including the owner's expansion to multiple locations and the charitable work they do in their communities. It's always nice to support people who invest back into the places they serve. The food was the star of the show. The traditional wings and the Kahuna wings (full-size wings) were both fantastic. The dry rubs were outstanding--we tried the Original and Fire, and both delivered great flavor. Of all the sauces we sampled, the Garlic Parmesan Buffalo was the clear winner. Right behind it was their homemade barbecue sauce, which was absolutely incredible. In fact, it may be my favorite barbecue sauce I've had in a long time. Both were packed with flavor and worth ordering again. The homemade chips were also a pleasant surprise, loaded with seasoning and flavor. The only item that missed the mark for me was the smoked cream cheese special. It seemed a bit overdone, which took away some of the creamy texture. I think it would really shine paired with a pepper jelly or something similar to add a little sweetness and contrast. Overall, this was a strong four-star experience. If Yelp allowed half-stars, I'd happily give it 4.5 stars. Our first time at this location. Deliza was our server and she totally rocked her job. It was one of the best dining out experiences we've had in a long time. She was friendly, helpful, funny and informative. We hope to come back when she's working the bar for happy hour - which looks like it has great prices too! This time we ordered the Cauliwings with Garlic herb sauce (which I think is actually a salad dressing). We also got the fries and used the spicy mango sauce on them which is a huge flavor burst and better than ketchup! They had the Einstock toasted porter, which is a fave. The service was good. The restaurant was lively but not too loud. I ordered a wrap and it said grilled chicken. I ordered it because other options said Cajun.. I am not a Cajun spice person. I am not a fan of too much spice. Whatever blend they have is on everything and it has a spice/heat to it. I wish it would have clarified they put it on everything from wings to fries to entree. Big Kahuna Wings has opened another location in Maryville, in the former Joe's Italian Cuisine space. This restaurant and bar has been very popular since it's opening recently with the parking lot very full and the cozy space with full service bar with seating & TVs and table seating close to being fully occupied with waits to be seated at times. Takeout has been popular here too. The food menu offers traditional wings, boneless wings, cauliflower wings, sauce flights, sandwiches, burgers, wraps, country plates, homemade sides & desserts. The prices here are moderate. The bar has several draft beers, wine, spirits and cocktails. I stopped by BKW in Maryville very recently for dinner. The place was extremely busy with folks waiting to be seated. I found an open seat at the bar and there were two bartenders on duty. I was given a menu and ice water. I eventually decided on the Kahuna Chicken Sandwich with choice of one side ($13.50 plus tax), which took about 15 minutes to be served. The thick sandwich had a deep-fried till golden brown, Original Gourmet seasoning blend topped with crisp lettuce, mayo & tomatoes on a soft Cuban roll. The chicken cutlet was very tender and thick and breading was a bit chewy. The side choice, Angie's Potato Salad had a dense creamy mix of dill, onions, mayo, and firm potato pieces. After I was done, I passed on the dessert offer since I was getting frozen custard for a good cause afterwards. The check was $14.82 with tax and before tip. Overall, the Kahuna Chicken Sandwich and the potato salad both tasted pretty good. The service was a bit hectic at the bar as they were getting slammed with drink orders. The wings here were fried to perfection -- perfectly crispy with seasoning that was off the chain! Definitely some of the best wings I've had in a while. We started with the chips and dip appetizer, which wasn't my favorite, but my boyfriend enjoyed his burger. It was a bit on the thick side for my taste, but it had a really good flavor overall. The restaurant itself was spotless, and the staff couldn't have been nicer. Our waitress even suggested I get the wings extra crispy, and I'm so glad I took her advice -- they were amazing! First and last time getting wings there.... ordered online, picked them up and got home to find out that they were dry and not tossed in a sauce... the flavor was sub-par, the wings were dry...just not good wings. I am sure that some people will love them but If I had been at the restaurant I would have sent them back... I am WAY more of a traditional fried wings tosses in the standard Franks Hot Sauce and Butter. On the bright side, the server was very polite and the place did look and smell very clean. read more

Went to Big Kakuna Wings on 8-4 at about 12:35. Place looked clean and organized. I wish I could remember her name but our server was fantastic, made suggestions on menu items brought out our drinks quickly and just overall a pleasure. Food was good. Wife had a wrap and she loved it daughter had the pulled pork fries and loved it. My son and I shared a basket of wings and they were good as well. Only minor suggestion would be to use less seasoning on the wings. Tho it was good just a bit overwhelming. My only gripe was that you could smell the chemicals from the nail salon next door but other than that very good. read more

Great wings! I prefer them without any breading and just a dry rub toss. They cater to a wide variety of flavors. Always hot and fresh.

Ordered take out at bar. Service was fine, and received order in about 13 minutes. They were only about half full on Saturday at 5 . I order the ribs. Found them - not really "fall off the bone" and felt the rub was too heavy. Seven large, pre cut ribs with the order. Also ordered the "boneless wings". Not the usual nuggets, but large sliced pieces of breast meat. Not terribly tender, and also a bit heavy with seasoning rub. Portions were very good. Prices as I'd expect. Love the food here. Other than the sauces. Do yourself a favor. Order your wings and sides here. Then run over to Wingstop and buy a large ranch. Problem solved. But the worst part is, they seem to never be open when people want wings and beer. Closed on Sunday is so weird. And closing at 9pm? That's just when most folks start thinking about wings.
