2 Eggs, Hash Browns and Toast Breakfast
    Michael-Anthony T.

This place is just good home cooking breakfast food. I can't really complain because I love breakfast food and it's actually really good. We ordered the Denver omelette and traditional 2 eggs, bacon, hash brown and toast. Was satisfying and left full. Our service was awesome. We were definitely attended to, despite how crazy busy it was in the this only little restaurant. Our server was awesome. We ordered a caramel roll to go and ate it later in the day, and oh my goodness was it the best one we had. Other restaurants throughout Bis Man sell Carmel rolls, but this place definitely took the cake. We ate it so fast, we forgot to share a pic. Overall, this is one of those places we definitely would stop by again when we are in the area.

Adorable little place with fabulous breakfast! The caramel roll was delicious! I also had little piggies (pancakes and sausage) which were quite tasty. Portions are large! Very inexpensive. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was served fast! Great place for breakfast in Bismarck!

This place is amazing... It's a must whenever I visit Bismarck... The caramel roll is amazing, service is phenomenal, coffee is great as well...

This little place is a locally owned gem! It's small inside so expect a bit of a wait because it's always busy. It's cozy and clean. The food here is great, portions are generous and the price is perfect! We were visiting from California and couldn't believe the prices. Biscuits and gravy were fresh and flavorful. Chicken fried steak w/gravy was one of the best I've ever had. Veggie omelet is another great choice. The staff is really friendly and the service is fast. If you're lucky enough to be served by Shelby you will have a great experience. Wanda the owner was there helping things move along and it was nice to see her personal touch. Always stopping in when we are in town.

A pretty decent place to stop for breakfast. Fair prices and food was really good. Funny, though I've never had brown gravy on CFS before but it was alright. Down side was the premade frozen biscuits. Big regret was that we didn't order a caramel roll.

First sign that this is a great place for breakfast was that the large parking lot was full at 8am! I almost didn't go in because the place looks kind of small from the outside. I'm glad I checked it out anyhow because there was a couple of tables open (the place seats more than it looks). This is another great thank you to Yelp for finding this place for me. I saw the pictures of the Carmel Rolls and like a fly to a light bulb I was on my way to the Little Cottage! I ordered the said Carmel Roll and a Ham and Cheese Omelette. Oddly the roll came out first. Which, as it turns out, was the best way. If I would have eaten my omelette first I wouldn't have had enough room for the best Carmel Roll I ever ate! I was much happier leaving half an omelette and some toast as opposed to leaving half a Carmel roll! The Little Cottage is basically a slightly cuter version of many other local diner/restaurants. Very busy, with friendly and hard working waitress. They sling out a pretty good breakfast (lunch and diner too) and it seems the locals love the place. This was a great find in a world full of chain restaurants. Off the beaten path a bit, but worth the effort! And my god... the Carmel Rolls are great!!

People that work here and people who eat here were so unbelievable nice. Only one old dude gave me the hard eye for wearing a mask upon entering. I hard eyed back. No sheep sounds from him like at Costco in Bismarck. The food here was better then home and just for a wee bit of money. The place was cleaner then my home as well. just Charming. ... Food tasty and way to much. Thank you Little cottage your in my heart and tummy

I ordered the rotisserie chicken and it had no flavor and honestly, if they had taken it out 2 minutes earlier, I probably would've been left with undercooked poultry. The salad was probably the only thing that tasted good, but that's not hard to do when you have good ranch as dressing. This is one of those places you can pass on but resort to if the others are closed. They got a decent bar with great bartenders. I would come back in hopes to try something better on the MENU.

I had a very upsetting experience at Broadway Grill that I feel others -- especially those with…read morefood allergies or celiac disease -- should be aware of. This happened a while back, but it bothered me so much I still think about it, so I decided to finally write a review. I ordered a gluten-free pasta dish and clearly informed the waitress that I am gluten intolerant (celiac). When the dish was brought out, I noticed a single regular noodle sitting right in the middle of the pasta. It was visibly different from the gluten-free noodles. Thankfully, I spotted it before taking a bite. Cross-contamination is a serious issue for people with celiac disease, and even one noodle can make us very sick. I asked for the dish to be taken back and explained that I was too nervous to reorder it because I didn't want to risk getting sick. Instead, I ordered a simple green side salad and specifically requested no croutons. A few bites into the salad, I found a crouton. At that point, I was extremely upset and honestly tearful. I informed the manager and explained how serious this is for me. I asked for the salad to be removed from my bill, given that it also contained gluten after I clearly requested it not to. They refused. For anyone with celiac disease or a serious gluten intolerance, this was not just an inconvenience -- it was a health risk. The repeated lack of attention to a clearly communicated medical dietary restriction, followed by the refusal to remove the contaminated item from the bill, was deeply disappointing. I hope the restaurant takes food allergies more seriously in the future and improves its kitchen practices and staff training so no one else has to go through this. Since this experience, I have never been back and would recommend others avoid going back to this restaurant.

I've even made my own from scratch with very good results. But I must say: The Walrus blew my mind. Their presentation is absolutely fantastic. The greens are lightly dressed in a lovely vinaigrette and topped with perfectly roasted veggies and feta. YUM! We also ordered the artichoke and spinach dip. Delicious. AND served with plenty of yummy crostini for dipping. So many places skimp on the dippers, and it's always annoying. Not so at The Walrus. Service was prompt, friendly, attentive and efficient. If I'm ever back in Bismarck, I'll be campaigning for a return visit. Until then, I'll be dreaming about those crab cakes.
