Paid for delivery and chose the highest tip selection for the driver. Food came and for the second consecutive order, the salad dressing was opened in the bag, causing an absolute mess of oil all over everything in that bag. THEN....THE TWO ACTUAL ENTREES MISSING....only salads received. Flagged down the driver who was pulling away, attempted to explain, but they didn't speak English. Called Empire and explained the situation. Was told I COULD COME PICK UP what was missing (LOL)...I told them I paid for delivery. They said there was nobody who could deliver it. I told them to then refund the order and if they wanted the salads, exploded dressings and appetizer, come and get it, but refund my money since I paid for something not received. They said to "go to the Toast app and click refund through there". Hung up, went to the Toast app to find there was no such function. Initiated help through the app, and was told refunds are ALWAYS through the businesses (as expected....no sense expecting competence at this point). Called back Empire....was told "nobody there to initiate a refund, bit would get confirmation in 3-5 days)...just a laughable joke this is the process for a simple use case of a delivery order not receiving their order. I'll await the refund which I'm sure won't come...then dispute the charge on my card. Thanks for nothing, Empire...way to chase a customer who spends hundreds a month with you! Unreal

Our waitress came to our table and asked what are you drinking? She brought our drinks to the table. Then left, came back a few more minutes and asked if we were ready to order. We placed our order. Might I add it really wasn't busy at the time and the food doesn't take very long to deliver. After we were waiting, a table of nine came in and sat down. They placed their order. Our waitress did come by a few minutes later and drop two pitchers off of drinks for our refills but after this we didn't see her again. The table of nine received their food. At this point we had been waiting for about thirty minutes. I asked a different waitress at this time if she could check on order as it had been a bit since we placed ours. She acknowledged this and went to find our waitress. The other waitress we asked to check on our food then came back asking what we had ordered. Ready to take our order again. I got up and came around the corner to find our waitress going through the tickets at the register. That's when she proceeds to say that she can't find our ticket. That she handed it off to the kitchen but the kitchen didn't have the ticket. I asked her two questions. How did she lose the ticket and how does she not check on her tables? She pushed the blame to everyone else and never offered to make it right. That's when we decided to leave and not wait any longer. When we came back around the corner our old waitress asked the other waitress what we were doing and she said they're leaving. The initial waitress then shrugged her shoulders at us. I asked for a manager and then was told they wouldn't do anything. The service here is awful. I have been coming for years. Unfortunately the waitresses do not care to check on your table nor your order. We just waited over thirty minute for our order that never came. People came in behind us only to get their food. The waitress told me she couldn't find our ticket. No offers to make things right. Told me don't bother talking with a manager because she had been there for thirty years and he would do nothing about it. Wow! Let down.

Everyone I've interacted with has been kind, which makes the experience even better. I've tried several items on the menu over the years, and nothing has disappointed me (can't speak on the salads-I don't go to Sonny's for the salad ). The burgers are delicious, the hot dogs and corn dogs are always a solid choice, and the fries are some of my favorites. It's one of those places you can count on for good food, great service, and a laid-back atmosphere. I'll definitely keep coming back!
