There were 2 absolute stops that I had to make. This place and then the sub-court. I have dreaded going in to any of these places due to my not so fond memories from above. I finally put on my big girl drawers and sucked up what seemed like another journey to places I didn't want to go - thanks to Aminah trying to get me to Thailand. I walked in, during typical lunch hours, to about 4 parties ahead of me. I could literally sit in a row of chairs all to myself. Numbers started being called shortly, between to representatives and soon folks were walking out the door. Finally, my number was called and I approached Miranda's desk (window 6). Miranda is no Roz, Monster's Inc. In fact, my 7 minutes spent with Miranda was enjoyable. She kept me informed and looped throughout the entire process. If she was making a copy of my DL... I was aware! :) She even directed me to my next stop for the actual passport. I walked out of that office in a whopping 30 minutes. My parking came out to $7 and I got what I needed without feeling death on my shoulders. Can i guarantee that your visit will go the same? No, but I have no doubt that you'll be taken care of :D

I recently came to House of Shine to attend a junk journaling class. The environment was friendly,…read moreinviting and the space was beautiful. Before the class starts, one of the staff will discuss the vision behind House of Shine and ways to get involved. They have a yearly rotating exhibit with interactive activities throughout the space. Amanda the founder of DFW Junk Journaling Club was our instructor. Amanda provided information on junk journaling, showed examples through her own journals, provided supplies and answered any questions we had. The journaling classes are low cost ($10) and they have ample parking available on site. We were encouraged to bring our own supplies for junk journaling which includes receipts, stickers, pictures, cards etc. The class was casual and you could come and go as you pleased. There are meetups throughout the year for those interested in junk journaling discussed on their Instagram page or on linktree. I left the class inspired and look forward to expanding my creativity through journaling. I look forward to attending another journaling class in May.

She scanned my item, turned the screen around to me, and walked away without a word. I had to finish the transaction myself. I understand that most of the workers here are volunteers, but basic customer service skills go far. Pricing is done with a color dot system and the pricing is fair. It is pretty clean for a thrift store. Unfortunately, the poor service left me with a bad taste in my mouth, so I won't return to shop or donate.

The worthy co store is located in a neighborhood with street parking available. I came here a couple of days and was instantly greeted by Mina, the retail manager who shared what portions of the store had sales and encouraged me to look around. After browsing the store, I picked up a couple pairs of earrings for a wonderful deal. The exterior and inside of the store is beautiful and they offer candle making classes in their studio upstairs. They have jewelry, bags, candles, clothes and stationery for sale with the proceeds going towards women who are survivors of trafficking. They also do custom orders for candles, I believe you create your own candle scents as well. Each staff member I met were warm and inviting, I look forward to returning.

She told me she could not sell the product, because the tags are wrong on them. She also told me that people are changing tags. I told her I don't have anything too do with other customers. She told me they keep an eye on they one that keep doing it. I would have to come back next week ,to buy them because they must fix the tags. She acked like I changed the tags. I kidly explain to her I have not changed any tags. She told me I never said u did. I told her nicely I wanted to make sure that she knew that. Please understand that the Spanish customers can go changed tags on Goodwill products and mangers never say anying to them. They can ask the manager can u lower the price. The manger of thier color will .I am not the only costumer that have seen this. Other race can ask the Spanish mangers at this store can, they lower the price on a product that is broken or damaged. They will say we can't its against our store policy. If That is very wrong and not fair to me.I ask her are u saying I was changing tags. She tells me no and I never said that. I called the store later and ask for my money. She said u can't come back to the store. I am very sick of all of the Race discrimination. It's not my fault she doesn't like black people. I pulled back plastic that was put over the old DVD player to see if it was damaged. Then I looked through it to make sure it had all the card and the remote control.I pull the card out and took it over to plug it in to make sure it works. It came on. But she keeping to me I never said that u did anything like that on our video. I told her you're accusing me of crime and you refuse to let me see the video. She said , again , I never choose you of anything. My two grandchildren they are mix with Spanish and my sister is also .My sister children are Spanish and White. I would give my last breath for them. What I don't understand is why can the manager see thier on race take of price tags off Goodwill products ,and it has not been taken to the cashier to be paid for. The Spanish customers are walking around with the price tag that should be on product .So other customers can not pick it up and buy it. The Spanish customers taking the tags up and pay for it later .Let any other race do that and they will be kicked out the store or the Police Department will be called on them.Some of the employees at this location told me this year in 2026 that mangers forc them to have thier friends and family members to write good reviews on this store. If the employees don't do it thier work ours will be cut low.One of the female employees that work here at this location told some of the customer, that mangers only care about thier yearly work bonus and not theWhitePEOPLE ,or Black People. As well they are made to work off the clock sometimes and they don't always get thier lunch breaks the employee told us. Some of us that are customers was told by an employee at this store, if they didn't show afavors for Spanish people and thier manager family they could lose thier job or work ours cut low.Prices are being made cheaper for a lot of the Spanish customers. I do know that mangers thier are big bully to other race. If u call the corporate office they will always take up for thier store mangers. When customers speak out on mangers at this location the mangers will tell u don't come back to the store location or they will call the police on u. One of the mangers here told me stupid White people and Black people should get out of the USA and she hate ICE!!!!She told me the Spanish People are going to work with the Muslim people and take American back.The Spanish will take the USA from the Muslim People in the long run.She told me Trump should be shipped with all the White People and Black people.
