This free book sharing library box is located inside the Alvarado Parkway Park. The yellow box stands on two supporting posts and has a proper shingle roof. The single door has a rather rusty latch to keep it closed. Inside the box, a jumbled collection of mostly hardcovers that looked to be children's and young adult books that have been liberated (released?) from a local library as they still have their shelf labels on them. Nothing that really caught my eye today though the "Extreme Mountain Biking Moves" would probably crick my neck even reading about that sort of gravity defying fun. Upon dropping off the wheels, I was met with a very friendly individual who was honest and straightforward. I dropped my wheels off and the next day they're ready as if they've never been damaged. Pricing was very fair for these wheels, since they're forged and brushed, at $185 per wheel. Absolutely glad these guys are around. Hard to miss as it is painted a farm barn red with yellow trim and stands on a yellow post. It looks like there might once have been a plexiglass window but that's gone. The door is secured by a latch. As it's is here in the picnic area, it should be mostly okay from the elements. Three shelves inside, divided into Adult, Teen and Kids. Unfortunately, it's just a big jumble today. But free books are free books and that makes it A-OK. There is parking in the park and there are picnic tables nearby if you'd like to sit and read.
