My daughter and I wanted some Asian food and this place was only 1/2 mile from our apartment, and glad we did. We were greeted and able to seat ourselves, extremely friendly and polite service. We ordered the crab wontons, gyoza and wonton soup for appetizers and wow the soup was absolutely delicious, the gyoza and crab wontons were delicious as well. My daughter ordered the beef lo mein and I had the yushan beef with white rice, both entrees were balanced and very flavorful we actually ended up leaving with leftovers because the serving sizes are definitely a lot. But quaint little atmosphere, they have menu items for all dietary types even gluten free. They also have wines and beer, that were out of Tsian Tsao and Sapporo so I settled for a glass of CK Mondavi and my daughter had a coke. Plenty of on street parking and very clean inside, excellent food, great service and now I have a place to do take out from from Asian food. I stopped by during their lunch special on a Wednesday afternoon while on vacation in Denver. I was immediately greeted and served water and given a menu. Prices were reasonable and the food was delicious. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken lunch special with steamed rice and a crispy veggie roll. We were craving Chinese food and saw some good reviews for Little Ginko. Service was fast, food came out even faster. We started with some soups (hot&sour and egg drop soup) and both were very good. The entrees were a bit less fulfilling and I would probably give them a 3.5/5. The sesame chicken was way too breaded. And the combination fried rice has some pretty poor quality cuts of meat (I thought the chicken might have even been a bit undercooked, just picked those pieces out). We were in Denver last week to see Crowded House (outstanding!) and we found Little Gingko about a block from our Airbnb. They have a wide variety of entrees and appetizers. We started with some crab cheese wontons which were really tasty and some genmaicha (green tea with roasted brown rice). For entrees, I had some really delicious Singapore curry noodles with chicken and shrimp. It was fantastic, and I had enough for some leftovers later. My husband enjoyed his drunken noodles very much as well. If you're in Denver's Capitol Hill area, stop in at Little Gingko for wonderful Asian food. read more

This restaurant left me underwhelmed. I ordered the crispy red snapper and it came breaded in pieces. I was expecting a full fish that was fried. It came with white rice and some vegetables. The saving grace was the sauce that came with the breaded red snapper. It was so breaded that I couldn't even taste the flavors of the red snapper. I question if it even was red snapper! The wonton soup was so disappointing. There were only two wontons, m some veggies, and the broth was very salty. I ordered through GrubHub and of course the prices were outrageous with all of the service fees and other nonsense. I grabbed takeout from here, after I was going to order delivery, but the minimum was $13 and I didn't have room in my stomach for $13 worth of Chinese food at that very moment. I called ahead and ordered the Large West Lake Beef Soup, which didn't sound very Chinese to me and had no description, but I'm a veritable daredevil when it comes to food. I also ordered the gyoza which isn't that risky. I showed up and there was only one other customer eating there, but the space is pretty decent sized and there was parking right on 13th. Bonus! I asked for chopsticks since I just moved and don't have any of my stuff yet. The West Lake Beef Soup didn't look all that interesting, but I was pleasantly surprised at the dish. It looks like egg drop soup with some leafy veggies strewn about with a generous portion of ground beef. The consitency of the soup was enough that the beef didn't all sink to the bottom, which was nice. I noticed about halfway though that my mouth w burning a little bit. A very faint heat, which I think was white pepper. I'd absolutely get this dish again. The gyoza were decent, nothing remarkable about them, but the dipping sauce was good. I would recommend the Little Gingko. I'm excited to taste some of their other dishes as well and swing by for a Happy Hour maybe. read more

I've been seeking out a new Chinese lunch spot and Little Gingko hit the spot. They deliver to Park Hill, so all I had to do was power up the Yelp app and make my choices. Pro tip for lunch: their specials are under $10 and the portions are very, very generous. I got three (smaller) servings out of my order. Plus some crab rangoons, because I love them too much to pass up. LG puts extra scallions in their dishes, which I appreciate. Gave it some extra flavor! Hot tip: this is a great place to get the most bang for your buck at lunchtime. Let's face it, Denver isn't superb when it comes to having decent Chinese food, not when you're used to the Northeast (or West Coast), but this place is fairly solid and has a number of Asian-fusion-type options too. From opening until 3pm you get a choice of soups and a spring roll included with a reduced-price lunch entree. I don't know how restaurant inflation bypassed this place, but I'm grateful, as it's only a short walk from my house and it's one of the few places where daytime options don't start around $15. And the hostess (co-owner, I think?) is just the most lovely and gracious person. This little hidden gem is located in Cap Hill at the corner of 12th & Marion, this little Chinese cafe definitely won't disappoint... the portions are great, the quality is superior, and the price point is perfect. You can call in the order & skip GrubHub if you want, and they'll even give you 2 free springrolls with a $25 order. Call ahead because it'll take ~30minutes to cook because they cook it to order. Yum! My favorite dish is the Hong Kong noodles - they're tiny egg noodles tossed in a light sauce with shrimp & scallions.. get it hot & they really kick up the heat! Their beef & broccoli is amazing because the gravy/sauce it's in is sooo tasty.. and the broccoli is cooked perfectly (not too soggy). You can get lo mein for an extra $2 and it's so worth it. The Mongolian beef had liver mixed with the regular beef and the twice cooked pork was half pork belly and half what appears to be a soy product cooked and cut to resemble meat. Not great. Cute little place that filled up fast on the Friday we went. Very good service. The street parking was the only challenge. The egg drop soup was interesting. Had corn and tomato in it. A large bowl was plenty for 2 to share. The honey shrimp was some of the best I've ever had. They were big, just lightly fried, and the honey sauce was the perfect combination of sweet and spicy.
