My wife and I went to this place at the other night. Just to let you know the food was delicious but just because the food was delicious the experience that I got would probably not want me to go back. I'm tired of looking at people and explaining myself five times five different ways and they still don't understand not my problem this is your problem. I asked for The naan bread if they use margarine or butter for their garlic butter. As a chef most restaurant use margarine garlic spread. And every time I asked her this question in different ways she had a confused look like she didn't know what I was talking about wow. Then she couldn't answer my question she went back to the kitchen to ask the chef if they use margarine or butter for your naan bread and I guess the chef asked her why do you want to know what the f*** do you mean why do you want to know shut the f****** and just answer the f****** question common sense it's for a customer you f****** idiot. And that waitress gave me three different answers first you said we use margarine then she said we use butter then she comes back and says we've 70/30 70% margarine 30% butter well what the f*** is which one is it. Then she comes back and says we use the margarine and butter for other recipes and in our rice but for the naan bread we use butter. FML you don't know what you use in your restaurant this is your job. And just because of all this stupid Enos I probably won't be back I don't care how good the food is where I go I want 100% customer service and I want no stupidity not my problem this is your problem don't look at me but I got five different heads when you don't understand when I explain myself five different times you're the dummy not me. read more

I had the Groupon and followed the very clear rules/limitations of the Groupon (people who didn't follow the rules, realize that you're already getting a discount so don't expect to use multiple coupons at one table or split tables, seems simple enough to me...). The food and service were fantastic! My boyfriend and I could not have been happier with our first visit. The food was piping hot (little puff of steam comes up when you open the serving lid) and plentiful. Lots of vegetarian and meat options. Our server was amazing: we were given a free appetizer and she explained what was in it. I always had piping hot Chai Tea in my cup (free refills yay!) and they bring fresh naan to the table. The chef who was stretching the naan door behind the buffet counter (you see directly into the kitchen which is pretty neat) was very friendly. The food is spicy but extremely delicious. Our server asked us if we found the food too spicy (attentive server!) and we said it wasn't, that we loved it. As we were paying our bill she also asked us why we didn't have any dessert (again, very attentive) and we replied that we were too full of the main meal to even try the desserts. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and I think we have found our new favorite Indian restaurant. I can see us definitely ordering takeout in the future as well for nights that we just want to stay in. The buffet price was fair I think (maybe a little high), but comparing it to the other Indian buffets I've tried around the city, nothing compares to this one in terms of flavor, hot dishes and service. The negative comments written here are from rare experiences. I've been here so many times. I'm from 1 hr out of town. I drive to Edmonton frequently just to come here. Been coming here for years. I'm vegetarian and there is a great selection. If you come here 2 -3 times a week as I have a times the buffet can become a little ennuyeux but there is always the menu. A single appetizer with a drink will usually fill you up. As far as the negative comments about the owner, they are unwarranted. I don't even know his name but he is friendly and polite. Everyone's personalities are different from each others and we all may have an off day now and then. Why, I have even been known to go to a psychologist for an occasional touch up job? The waiters are fantastic and a frequent flyer can get quite attached to them. My husband and I usually eat the buffet and then get a couple take out dishes for friends that live near Crestomere and drop it off for them. They love it as much as we do, the restaurant, I mean. And as for the groupon confusion. Just accept it as confusion, if 5 couples can afford to go out to eat why get all upset and ruin a good evening for 5 couples and haggle over a price? Take it in stride and cough up the extra 20 bucks per person and instead concentrate on the great food and great service and great ambience and great company you just enjoyed. read more

JUST AMAZING If you think had very good indian food then try this restaurant. It will blow you away. The food is not spicy so for those who prefer it hot ask the team to spice it up for you or try the buffet which has a huge selection of vegetarian and meat dishes along with fresh Naan served to your table. The presentation is just amazing and the taste is out of this world. You have the choice to sit in the private romantic draped booths or in the main elegent dining room. I have been to this restaurant many times and it is exceptional in tearms of service, ambiance, quality of food, presentation and taste. I can't get enough of this place. First of all I gotta say that the food is great. The place is spotless. I went into the bathroom at about 1:30 PM & the floor had just been washed. Never seen that before anywhere. Most places wash the bathroom floor at closing or at opening.....if they wash it at all. There is a huge display case with about 40 different desserts. BUT THE REAL REASON THAT IM HERE IS TO TALK ABOUT OUR SERVER JAZZ. I've been a chef for 46 years & i've seen lots of servers. I could see Jazz continually scanning the dining room non stop & dealing with anything that needed attentionShe did that non stop for the 45 minutes or hour that I was there. There were other staff there but they were not paying the same kind of attention to the room as she was. I would hire her in a flash! read more

My bf and I came here after a nice day of eating out in the afternoon. We came a little late to make sure we were hungry for the buffet after purchasing a Groupon. It was pretty busy as we had to wait about 15-20 minutes for a table. To our surprise a staff member offered us a small sized tea or lassi while we waited. That's what I call good customer service. The place itself looked more like an authentic Indian restaurant than some of the others I have been to. We tried pretty much everything on the buffet since we are not vegetarian and we loved it. It didn't taste like "buffet food". We had a $30 voucher which covered most of the bill (The buffet was about $17-$18). Good value. Will be back with others down the road. read more

What a little gem my husband and I found. We found a Groupon online and bought a $25 Groupon that gave us $50 off of our meal. It was good for buffet or ordering off of the menu. We chose both to take advantage of the deal. The biggest thing I noticed was that the buffet food tasted like food I've ordered off of menus. Usually I find that buffet food can be lacking in quality because you have to make so much more of it. The manager told me their buffet is a little spicier than most which really made it taste better. We ordered butter chicken and paneer Kadhai to go and they were awesome. The manager gave me a sample of sweets on the way out which was a nice gesture. Definitely check this place out. read more

My wife and I decided to try a new Indian restaurant today and we were not disappointed! As we were being seated we noticed a buffet but we're going to check out menu. A manager I believe popped by our table and gave us heads up about the buffet so we went with that (great deal $14.99!) buffet had lots of options, different meats, curry's, fruits and vegetables , made to order naan and to top it off deserts. Manager even struck up a friendly conversation about the sports hat I was wearing. Very welcoming environment and the restaurant is beautiful. I came here with friends and family last Saturday and we had a great experience. I used a Groupon voucher to try the place out and it didn't disappoint. Some of us had the buffet and some of us ordered off of the menu. The chicken tikka masala was to die for! We had a great time. I came here with a Groupon and the food was amazing. When you hear the word buffet you think maybe the food isn't of high quality, but it all tasted great and it was hot. I ordered their butter chicken off of the menu as well and it's the best I have tasted so far. The prices seemed a tad lower than other places I have gone to and the service was excellent. My dad and I ended up going here from lunch, we found a coupon in my SUTP and we had the lunch buffet and we were both very very happy. I'm a vegetarian and my dad isn't and we both found very delicious dishes. The waitress never let our cups empty, and gave us a basket of fresh Naan bread almost as soon as we set down our plates. Came here with my daughter as I had a groupon. The lunch buffet on a Saturday was plentiful, hot and had a great variety. Since Steve M. reviewed, they have since put the spoons and tongs on plates beside the buffet items and everything was piping hot. The service was excellent, very attentive without being overbearing. Love this place. My family is Indian and we are very pick when it comes to Indian restaurants but this has been our best experience yet! The food (if you request it to be) is actually spicy, and the portions are so generous. We always get the Chaat Paapdi and Saarson ka Saag - LOVE. We visited this place after a long time & frankly was disappointed. The quantity of chicken Tikka Masala was so so less and has a watery sauce now. Even the taste was just OK. I don't know about other people here, but I loved this place. I went on mothers day and it took about 40 minutes to be seated, but it was busy. I didn't mind. The staff was excellent and filled my water up 4 times. They bring fresh naan to your table which is nice because I've had it elsewhere in the buffet and it gets stale. Food was great. Best Indian buffet I have tried in the city hands down and I am very picky. Quality and flavours are there. Each dish tastes different instead of others I tried where it looks like the same gravy/curry is used for multiple dishes. Big selection. Highly recommended. read more

The food is absolutely delicious 100% worth the price; just gotta make sure you save up before you eat at the restaurant. But to sum it up they have great service, great cuisine, and the aesthetic of the place is pretty nice also super cleanly. read more
