I've been going to this sit-down (and now takeout) sushi eatery x international market since I was…read morea kid, and it honestly never disappoints. Ambiance has always stayed the same: cute, cozy, and so comfortable. Now that the booths were removed and they only have regular table seating, service is a bit different (you order at the front or at the kiosk instead of someone taking your order), but I actually love how it all works! From an operational standpoint, I feel like it actually makes things go smoother and faster. Additionally, I don't know if it's just because I haven't had their sushi in a bit, but I felt like their portion sizes actually increased slightly (which is always amazing)!! Love love LOVEEE their sushi and hearty miso soup so much. Great selection of drinks from the fridge inside, and so many vegetables, fish, snacks, and essentials (e.g., hair care, toothpaste).

The premade food choices are growing by the day. They are always adding to their offerings with new flavors and tastes. I started coming to One world market in 1997 when it was first home by a husband and wife team. It was very special at that time to have a Japanese focused grocery store and I was so happy to have one in the Novi area. This has been my go-to for decades now. When it was transitioning from private ownership to the Noble Village group, owned by True World group, there was a transitional decline, thankfully, that didn't last long and things are developing very nicely. I hear even more growth is on the horizon as they establish an even greater presence in the building next door. I am also thankful that the integrity and the high-quality is very much present and everything they do. The service is always top notch and they try to open up a lot of lanes so people get through quickly because it is busier than ever. The word is definitely out. I've seen a lot of posts on social media and it's bringing in an even greater crowds, which is fantastic! Note: the on-line ordering is also so convenient and their sushi platters are high-level!

It is much larger, more open and they are able to provide more choices and variety. The deli expanded and they added a high quality fresh butcher shop type meat section along with a wide variety of packaged fresh meats. They also have fresh fish. I inquired and they said the fish goes quickly so there is good turnover. Yes, the prices are a little higher here. I do take that into consideration and also look for their weekly specials and sales, which they do have. The positive trade off is that there are many lanes open, quality items and a hometown feel which makes for a nice grocery store experience.

For example, this week they have their cabbage "On Special" for $.89 per lb. This is the normal price at Kroger and Meijer and other store in my area. Kroger and Meijer has their cabbage on sale this St. Patties week for $.49. The store is very well stocked and very nice on the inside, but its not worth the extra 25%+ premium you might pay for similar items at other local grocery stores. The only time I go to Busch's is when they have a lost leader item on sale that happens to be a good deal. This is rare however.

Was here years ago…read more Decided to come check it out to see how much it's changed. My husband convinced me to come back for a visit. Grabbed an Elvis, PB&J smoothie, grabbed a cold press carrot juice, 12 ounce lentil soup and a chicken Shawarma sandwich from here. They didn't have any more container tops for the 12 ounce containers, had to put it into a 16 ounce container instead. The PB&J was okay, more fruity and jelly than PB for me. The Elvis is better. The lentil soup was okay, not much flavor for me, but tastes healthy. The cold pressed carrot juice is good, refreshing enough. They head out samples of their blueberry lemon muffin. I took a sample, was it for me. It was a little mushy yet crumbly and lacked flavor to me. The salad bar looks decent, but I would need their mushrooms and peppers to be cut down more, all in all the options are good for a salad bar.
