The store wasn't tidy.. The items were poorly organized, had so much difficulty to locate the items .. No proper price tags for most of the packages .. Very small store and it was congested.. Expensive when compared to other stores .. They have very limited vegetables, even those available weren't fresh.. Veggies were stored in the fridge, could be better stocked ..I have also heard from friends that they sell items past the manufacturing date so beware and check the expiry date of the items you buy ! read more

Untrustworthy Grocers: These grocers sell products which are grossly out of date at lower prices. This is ridiculous. They keep expired products on their aisles and sell it at a lower price when it should be completely thrown away from the store. Attached are the photos of a Nutties chocolate pack which should have been removed from aisle two months ago and instead they are selling the product at 99cents (dropped from regular price of $1.59). Crappy place. I brought 2 packets of snack from them on Wednesday. I opened them on Thursday and found WORMS inside. Called the owner, who made silly excuses and refused to take responsibility. He said he cannot keep a check on what his suppliers send him. This is sheer irresponsible behavious with no regard for food safety or public health. I am going to report this matter to department of food safety as well. read more

Be careful with the coconut here. I bought some and they were spoilt! They do have all the Indian store items you would expect to buy but if you're expecting customer service, forget about it! Not so great! Plus the store is maintained so bad, i definitely question their hygiene! read more

i have shopped here a few times. I have few indian grocery stores near by. This one i used to go when i go to the restaurant near by this. Its a okay place. I haven't found vegetables fresh whenever i had visited. You get items including frozen food, snacks etc, There are some collection of fancy items my wife used to purchase. read more

The grocery is old and their sweets are spoilt. I bought Kesar Shrikhand and it was spoilt. Neither is the place tidy, nor are the spices fresh. I prefer Patel Brothers over this store. read more

Average grocer. Stocked to the ceilings with items. Not a lot of fresh veggies but many fresh mangoes. Mostly staples. Very good selection of dry goods. Freezers have lots of options too. Staff is pleasant. Prices are reasonable. I've seen post where people commented on the cleanliness of the store. It seems pretty clean given the quantity of product packed in there. There was a man sweeping the entire time I was in there. I think they need to cut back on quantity and allow more openness in the store. It would look "cleaner", be easier to maintain cleanliness and be easier for shoppers to shop. Right now, there is so much to look at and sort thru, it's difficult to shop. I was disappointed that most of the mango purée cans were dented, but I did find one that wasn't. I'll come back if I'm in the area. read more

We went to buy few things in the store yesterday, the price of the spice was marked for $2.99. The cashier charged us $4.99, when we showed him the price that was on the shelf. He said:" please don't look at the price on the shelf, it's not correct. If you need to know a price, just always check with me in the computer." This is so dishonest, you can't ask the customer to check every single item with you in the computer. Cheating on customers will make everyone shop somewhere else, needless to say this is will be my last time shopping here. read more

For gluten free flours and cheap spices, this place is the best!! I buy the Himalayan salt and slowly am branching out to try more packaged snacks. Rice noodles are good too. If you have any type of food allergy or celiac, this place is a gem and very affordable! read more

Stinky, dirty and tons of produce on the floor (um health hazard?) the back door is always open, I'm sure the rodents love that! Be careful in the parking lot!!! Very easy to get into an accident ! For some reason no one seems to care if they park to close, ding your car, back into you. I've seen/had this happen on 3 separate occasions. Take caution. read more

Good grocery joint, for Indian food and vegetables. Reasonably priced and has all essentials needed for Indian cooking. The place is well sized. The stuff sometimes can be hard to find, but the staff is helpful and will help you get what you are looking at. At best, they will point you to the best place to find something if they don't have the stuff. They also help order specific things for you, if they don't already have it. Frozen section and vegetables section are well maintained. Fresh veggies every time I have shopped here. Some days the options might be less and that's because they run out of stock thanks to heavy Indian shoppers in this area. Hungry while shopping, try their Samosa on the counter, a quick Indian treat, won't fill you up, but will satisfy your taste buds and will take care of the appetizer you were going to spend time deciding later. All in all a good place for grocery and a very good convenience store. read more

My wife and I have been customers to Bombay Grocery for few years now. The products that we buy are for the most part available, and their price is very reasonable. What we appreciate and admire most from the owner and his stuff is their respectful manner and humble approach at all times. Additionally, what amazed me today that I wanted to share with people reading this review is the following: While I was looking at item to buy inside the store shelves, the owner approached me and handed me a bill wrapped inside a Ziploc lunch bag . He said to me (paraphrased) "This is yours. You dropped it in front of the counter while paying for the groceries some time back". That some time back as far as I can remember was more than a month ago. Irrespective of the amount of money l dropped and is now returned back to me, the store owners actions are testimony to his inner personality and integrity. Owner! If you are Indian and live anywhere within a 25 mile radius of this store, you already know about it. If you are a fan of Indian cooking and you don't, take a field trip. I live nearby and enjoy shopping at another Indian grocer but to go to Patel Brothers is more like going to the market than the grocer and when you check out be sure to ask for samosas! If you're on a diet, your sale won't be kind, but they are perhaps the best I've ever had and I've tried samosas all over the country. I love to take the brown paper bag out to the car and sit and enjoy one or maybe two and savor the flakey crust and the spices and flavor of this homely traditional treat is as good as it gets for sure!
