    Collard & Artichoke Dip
    Stacie W.

Little Lucy is an up-scale diner located in the Grove in the old Beast Craft location. Located directly next door is Lucy Quinn. It's the Grove so do what you will with the parking situation. Walk-in always welcomed, that's the only way we roll. The inside is chill and relax, low key with good music playing. We have sat in the diner section a couple of times. Our first visit our waitress was AMAZING!!! She was extremely attentive and spot on with her recommendations. It was late on a Saturday night and we sat at high top table. We ordered the collards and artichoke dip, crispy brussels sprouts, potato wedges, LL cheeseburger and the Nashville hot catfish po'boy. EVEYTHING was a WINNER. The collards and artichoke dip along with the catfish po'boy were the stars of the show and became the BF's and I favorite staples. But DON'T SLEEP on the LL cheeseburger. A double smash burger packed with flavor and juicy, that is accompanied by american cheese, tomato jam and aioli. This burger is not to be missed. We didn't get a chance to eat the potato wedges while there so we took them home and I re-heated them the next day, expecting to be disappointed in reheated potatoes but there is something different about the way they make these potato wedges. They re-heat PERFECTLY in the toaster oven like NEW and are absolutely delicious!!! We noticed that after that first time our waitress no longer worked there and we had this guy who could care less. We discovered why he could care less. They automatically started implementing a 18% gratuity on all checks so our waiter was getting tipped no matter if he performed or not. And let me tell you he sucked. Our food was coming out before our cocktails which we ordered way in advance and he would go missing for long periods of time and our food wasn't the same quality as we once experienced. So now when we go we ONLY sit at the bar. I prefer my 18% gratuity and more go directly to our bartender who cares about our service and experience. The BF and I really enjoy Little Lucy. The cocktails are phenomenal!!! The bartenders really know what they are doing and can craft something extremely mind-blowing and delicious. The cocktails on the menu are equally OUTSTANDING!!! We have veered off our regular go-to's to discover more options like the honey hot wings which were just ok, they were under seasoned and not extra crispy as requested. The toasted ravioli is a hidden gem on the menu, which is served in a bechamel sauce with cajun spices and topped with green onions. Apparently it is referred to as stoner food. I don't care what they call but it's GREAT!!!! A truly unique way to serve toasted ravioli. A must try that I haven't talked about is the collard and artichoke dip that is served with Alabama crackers. Pro tip, always ask for extra crackers. I knew this was dish was deadly when they said collard. It is so creamy and thick. I would purchase this in large quantities and pas it off as my own. It hits the spot EVERYTIME!!! A new favorite that I order in-house and to-go is the smoked brisket sandwich, served with peppers, onions, pepper jack queso and cajun spices on a hoagie. This sandwich packs a powerful punch and the way they shave the brisket ever so thinly like a cheesesteak and layer the toppings. ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT!!!! We are still working our way through the menu as you can see.

Little Lucy is new to The Grove and I feel it's a great addition. The menu has options that you won't see on the surrounding blocks. We tried several dishes: smoked brisket, catfish po boy, chicken sandwich (my favorite bc of the seasoning), chicken and dumplings, and crispy turkey legs. If you're not into sauce or foods mixing, consider asking for the sauce and/ or coleslaw to be on the side.

Came across Little Lucy in my attempt to kill time before an appointment. Let's get into it... at the entry there is a small bar area with neon light signage setting the vibe for a good meal. I indulged in the collard artichoke dip with Alabama crackers, fire! Pun intended. Cleansed my pallet with a glass of conundrum, red blend. I didn't stay for a full meal, but will be back to try more of the menu. I was very pleased with the service. The current hours are 11am - 1:30am. Stop by and bring a friend!

Little Lucy NEEDS to be at the top of your list to try! The casual little sister to Chef Ben Welch's new restaurant Lucy Quinn is the perfect spot for every occasion! They have a great vibe, delicious drinks, and incredible food! My favs: Collard & Artichoke Dip Potato Wedges Crispy Smoked Turkey Leg LL Cheeseburger Fried Green Tomato Grilled Cheese (it's so messy but soooo good!) Walk-ins Welcome. Small Lot (with handicap spaces) and street parking.

Awesome concept! The design of the space with the mix of cocktail bar, dining tables and bar dining at the open kitchen fills out the space nicely. Service was great! Music was just enough to fill the background but not too loud. This kept the vibe appropriate for conversations to be had with an upbeat touch. The collard Artichoke Dip was amazing. Those garlic crackers with a hint of heat were the best accompaniment. The beignets...well, they need a bit of work. Hollow on the inside which takes away from the dessert. Very much looking forward to trying other menu options and to get next door to Lucy Quinn.

My friend and I came here after seeing it promoted by infuencers on our Facebook Timelines. There is street parking as well as a small lot with restaurant dedicated parking. We were seated right away and ordered drinks. My friend had the Southern Hospitality, a non-alcoholic beverage and I had the Auntie's Cobbler which had a lot of ice in it. For our entrees, I ordered a brisket sandwich that seemed to really be a cheesesteak sandwich without the cheese and peppers. It tasted kind of sour. With our seating by the kitchen, you could see everything that was being cooked and how it was cooked. Both of our entrees were a bit too salty and carried too much of a smokey flavor (more than my usual taste). I could not pinpoint what weird flavoring was on the potato wedges, but I wasn't digging it and felt it was overpriced for what you receive.

Had been to The Vandy and needed food before we headed home....Little Lucy was the answer!! We sat at the counter by the kitchen - fun spot. The service was spot on and the food was really good!! I had Fried Chicken Thigh sandwich and my husband had the LL Cheeseburger and we both would order the same again.

Food was amazing. I loved the green tomato grilled cheese and their lentil burger. The lentil burger has a nice tomato taste that was unexpected. The order was made to go and served hot when I got it. They have a fill bar and some seating in the back of restaurant. Will definitely be back. Street parking and small parking lot available. Recommended.

While attending an event on Sunday morning some friends and I were discussing good burgers because I needed some new options. My friend Bob and I are trying to find the best burger in St. Louis. All the usual suspects were mentioned and then a voice next to me who was quiet until now asked "have you tried Little Lucy?". She went on to explain that the burger there was amazing and that the tomato jam and aioli was perfect on it. Bob is a purist and doesn't like anything on his burger but it was a new place fairly close to us (we go during the week when he's in town. I work so we haven't traveled too far from 44/Clifton Heights area so I can pick him up, eat and go home in a relatively quick time.). We arrived a little after 11 which means I could take pictures and we had our pick of seats. We were immediately greeted by the front bartender (whose name was lovely but I've forgotten it. I wrote it down when I got to the car so I wouldn't forget but I lost the paper. This is my busy time of year so I apologize.). Bob is an 89yr old charmer and he mentioned that Charlie Brown should be here (because of the Lucy in the name) to which the bartender said something about a football. She got the reference and Bob felt great. I believe this is why we sat up front. Sitting up front must've been a nightmare for her. She had to walk all the way around the bar and through the kitchen to get to us. It was bright and VERY clean. And not just - well we were the first in that day clean - but clean like even at the end of the day the place would be clean. Hope that makes sense. Bob ordered the cheeseburger plain (of course). I was going to order one too but I was intrigued by the Fried Green Tomato and Grilled Cheese. We also got some potato wedges because Bob loves fries with his burger. Sadly he was not a fan of the wedges. Neither one of us are fans of seasoned fries. It didn't say they were seasoned on the menu but the menu did mention the garlic aioli and that was super good. The last burger we had gone out for was the best... until now. When I take Bob out for burgers and ask him what he thinks about the burger he always says "this is the best". Always a kind word. But I know what to look for when Bob eats his burger. Just 3 things. Does he talk while eating his burger? Does he drink a lot of his diet coke? How much of his burger does he eat? Now I had to be smart, this was a double cheeseburger and since Bob doesn't eat a ton, odds are that more than 1/2 would still be sitting there when he was "finished". My sandwich came with a knife to cut it in half. Sooooo messy. I think there may have been too much pimento cheese on it. It's so rich. I was also a little disappointed to have only 2 small pieces of tomato on it but I get it, it's hard to fit round tomatoes on square bread. I could only eat half and that was almost too much for me. However, I had time to think about my sandwich because Bob wasn't talking or even drinking his diet coke for that matter. And he had already eaten 1/2 of his double cheeseburger before I finished half of mine. Wow! He also wanted to get his gf Libby a burger but I know she loves fries green tomatoes so we went with a few of those. Bob ALSO decided she needed a piece of Lemon Icebox Pie and I did too. (I gotta say, the pie tasted more like Key Lime Cheesecake. Not complaining but honestly it was giving off box cheesecake vibes.) His gf was at home so we got hers to go. We were wrapping up my 1/2 sandwich and the potato wedges (Those tasted great in scrambled eggs the next morning.) And I was getting ready to ask Bob if he wanted to wrap up his burger but there was only 2 bites left. I stood up, paid the bill and asked Bob if he was ready to go. He looked at his leftover burger and took another bite and then another. He almost ate it all!!! And this was a double!! We walked out and Bob said it was the best burger so far and I knew that this time he were right. Because of this burger I'm giving it a 5 star rating. I'll be back to try that burger.

Food!!! Food!! Atmosphere!! Attentive All a Yes!! Going to little Lucy as a drop in late lunch this place sis not disappoint! Both of us had a tripe sandwich with a side of fries ( pictured) tripe was crispy fresh and seasoned and a very generous portion served on "toasted" Texas toast took half home and placed in the Airfryer next day and when I tell you flavors sink in even more! I'll be back ! Took home the brisket sandwich delicious tender as well ..my only thing I wish the fries were cut down some cause they were supa thicc making them not very soft inside ... flavor wise everything was great that would be the only down point....

Ambiance was nice, but food was not good for the price. Leather turkey legs were served.

We went and checked out Little Lucy for the first time and thankfully I went with a couple of people so we could try a couple of things. First, the place is so cute. The lighting was different... With a lot of neon pink colors, but it absolutely went with the space. It's not really big on the bar side so if you're wanting a huge party to come, you may want to consider maybe going to the restaurant side which I think is called Lucy Quinn. All the drinks were absolutely amazing, but I love a good dramatic drink so the Charleston was on the top of my list. The food was also absolutely awesome. We had the toasted ravioli, which was something I've never tasted made that way, so it was a pleasant surprise. We also have the collard greens and artichoke dip which was absolutely delectable. And I had a crispy smoked turkey leg. That absolutely made me emotional lol. The service was top-notch. Our waitress was very attentive and made sure that drinks were brought out promptly food was brought out hot, and often checked in on us. I will absolutely be back because there's so many more things on the menu that I would like to try.
