My boyfriend and I stopped in here as we were in the area and wanted a quick bite. We had never been before. He ordered the southern style burger and it looked delicious! I'm not a thin crust pizza fan, but I went ahead and ordered the pizza, let me say....the best thin crust pizza I've ever had! I also ordered a side of onion rings, they were huge! Hot and as fresh as you can get with a fried food. Service was fast and attentive. Prices were what you would expect from a bar/restaurant. I'll definitely be going back for another pizza! My husband and I had fundraiser card with a Buy One Get One for this establishment. So, we thought we would try it out. My husband got the meatloaf dinner which came with two sides. He said it was the best restaurant meal he had had in a long time. I got the fish sandwich and fries which was huge! I couldn't eat it all. The fish was swai and very fluffy and flaky. Served on a hoagie bun with lettuce, tomato and pickles. They serve a wide assortment of local beers on tap. I tried an Urban Chestnut O-Katz which is their Octoberfest beer. It tasted great with the fish. The place is very kid friendly with butcher paper on the tables that the kids can use crayons to color on. Music is not too loud. Service was friendly. They have fast service, with friendly staff. The pizza is really good. We also had a house salad with Italian dressing that was very tasty. I'm from Pennsylvania. I was raised on cheese steak sandwiches. I've been in Missouri for close to 50 yrs. That was the closest to a real cheese steak sandwich I've had since being here. Happy to find a sit down restaurant with American food in House Springs. Officially opens TOMORROW, July 5th, & the hubby has already said we'll be going back. I want to try the homemade toasted ravioli as well as all I can eat soup & salad! There were other homemade items on the menu I want to try as well. We already tried the pizza & burger = YUMs! I've been there three times first time I got some kind of pork chop dinner I would say two out of a 10. The second time I went and had a salad and chicken and dumplings I would say that might have been a three out of 10 because the salad was the only thing it was edible. The chicken and dumplings came out of a can. And the last time I was there I ordered a patty melt the hamburger was pink and the bread was burnt the french fries were soggy. This was my fourth and last time trying slo odie's. Sadly there are not many options in this area. I know every restaurant has an off day but it seems to be the norm here. Had the meatloaf with mash potatos and green beans, it was like a salisbury steak you would get out of the freezer section. I put ketchup on it just so I could pretend it was meatloaf. I would have been happier with a TV dinner and saved a lot of money. There was one lady working her butt off trying to keep up with the bar and tables, obout 35 people all together. She forgot to bring my drink order but I can't blame her. I could never keep up with that many people. Honestly I don't know how they are still in business. read more

Waited for a waitress to come serve us for 15-20 minutes, took 15 minutes to bring out salad 40 minutes for food (they sure live up to their name)‍The "meatloaf" was in fact not meatloaf. Very clean, waitress's knowledgeable and friendly. I had the fried shrimp dealer, received 8 of the biggest shrimp I've ever seen. Perfect breading cooked perfectly. Didn't care for the Oldie potatoes, but shrimp and green beans were awesome. The Mrs has the pasta con broccoli and said it could use more garlic, but it was the special and I didn't see it in the menu. The AB products come in aluminum bottles, very cold. I had a beer from a High Ridge MO Brewer, very good and served cold. I will return and try another meal, love the idea of $1.00 burger on Tuesday. This was a pleasant surprise. Walking into this place feels like coming home. It's very relaxed and open with lots of space. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The restaurant and bathrooms are clean. We ordered pizza, wings, boneless wings, mushrooms, salad, artichoke dip, and country fried steak. Everything was delicious. The pizza crust is thin and crispy but not hard. The sauce is full of flavor and the toppings are chopped and plenty. The appetizers were all big, cooked perfectly, and very flavorful. We had a very relaxing dinner with friends and ended up spending a couple hours just chatting and re-charging after a rough week. The only negative was that the front door was propped open. I feel like this multiplied the flies inside and the chances for other bugs. It is a personal preference that restaurant doors stay closed as much as possible. We enjoyed the food and service and we will be back!! read more

This is my second time eating at this place. First time it wasn't bad. This time had a horrible experience. We picked a place to sit we didnt get waited on right away the waitresses were more interested in talking and gossiping than helping the patrons. She finally came over took our drink orders and it took a bit for her to come back. Took our orders. My salad came out right after the app. Which would be fine if I didnt want it for dinner. The boneless chicken wings that I got were cold my mom got the chicken fried chicken and it said on the menu that it came with white gravy. When her meal came out it had a brownish gravy that had meat in it and her green beans tasted funny. Then the waitress asked how my mom like her meal her meal and when my mom told her that she didnt care for it she looked at my mom like she was crazy and said huh that's one of our biggest sellers. I know its mothers day. but 8 of us went for breakfast, (they advertised a buffet, but didn't have a price. now the similar restaurants in the area, that had the same thing, would have been about 7.99 plus drink. our fault for not checking further. 15.99 per person PLUS your drink. not crowded at all, we each had one place, no seconds, they had scrambled eggs, a small bisquit and gravy, bacon about half cooked and some fruit. you could have walked across the street and went to slingers, got more food, and I mean at half the price. we will not be going back there, ever. high price for very little. definitely no a good deal or even a fair deal read more
