Perfect for 2 people (or 1-Im not judging). The owner was there and she is so so friendly-such a peach. My cupcakes held up for an 85 degree day, lunch, and a 90 min drive home pretty well! I read the polarizing views and needed to try this place myself- I am a cupcake brat and have eaten far too many in my day. The lady behind the counter was very kind and welcoming. She explained all the goods they had to offer and answered any questions we had. We decided to get 6 mini cupcakes: Pros: Creative flavors and every cupcake had a filling. I have had these in the past when someone brought them to Philly from Boston. These cupcakes are insanely good. Went for the first time this week and was blown away with the aesthetic of the cupcake shop and the assortment of goods that can be purchased. I ended up getting some cookies and cupcakes and they were all very delicious and filled with flavor. They have buttercream frosting which is a plus and it was very good. An after dinner stop on Newbury St lead us to a cute Little Miss Cupcape store. Down a set of stairs you can smell the sugar in the air. A few tables inside and out. It was my daughter's 7th birthday yesterday, and I was on a mission to get her the best cupcakes for her and her friends. After browsing Yelp, I decided to go with Little Miss Cupcape. I opted to take the train, as parking can be a challenge. I placed an order for half a dozen regular cupcakes and four vegan mini cupcakes. I have to admit, the packaging was impressive, which is why I'm giving two stars. However, despite my excitement, I noticed none of the kids ate much beyond the frosting--some only ate the toppings. Later, when there was one regular and one vegan cupcake left, I decided to try them myself. To my dismay, I could barely take a bite. I understood why the kids didn't finish theirs, including my daughter, who normally loves cupcakes. I ended up throwing mine away. The cake tasted like cornbread and was extremely dry. I even apologized to the parents for serving such a disappointing dessert. My husband questioned why I chose this place, and in hindsight, the only appealing aspect was the fancy packaging! Keep in mind this text came about 30-45 min after her inappropriate behavior on the phone. Also note she claims i am constantly calling her shop when in fact she has been blocked by me bc she called twice then began texting. Per the business owner...posting your experience on yelp is slander. News to me. Know that the owner of this business will say this in order to intimidate you. Sometimes things cannot be made "right". Giving someone their money back or redelivering cupcakes where the recipient would have to be home waiting doesnt fix anything. The experience and moment are done. What i thought i was ordering was 1/2 dozen nice cupcakes for a birthday delivery. What was received was 1/2 dozen cupcakes in july 4th sprinkles for the holiday. 3 days after the holiday bc "that was what was on hand". I called to discuss the issue with the business and was immediately met with justification and defensive language about their website saying it is according to what is on hand and the holiday. This was before they could even find my order. The justification continued once they eventually found my order.. At that point i realized the call was a complete waste of time and became upset. Told them i would be leaving a review of my experience. That was when the person claiming to be the business owner said she would "pray for me". Yep full on said that and I hung up on her. So know if you order around a holiday, regardless of your occasion you are sending them for.. you are going to get themed cupcakes. Lesson learned. We ordered off of Too Good to Go and was able to get 4 cupcakes for $6 which would have been $18 so it was a terrific deal. The cupcake bases were fluffy and semi-sweet and the frosting added a lot more sweetness and flavor to it. Overall, they were pretty high quality and the woman who was working there was so nice and personable and we appreciate her serving us a few minutes before closing. They makes great cupcakes. A friend of mine sent me a TikTok about this place, so we had to try it out. We got an assortment of minis so that we could basically try them all, and that we did. There was no dryness to the cupcakes at all. They were all so flavorful, and we loved that they fill them - even the minis. It's a nice little surprise when you take that first bite. This is such an underrated little Cupcake shop in Newbury! My son absolutely LOVED the cupcake he got last time so much he remember the name of the place when we came back to Newbury Street a couple of weeks later- he remembered the name of the place (and he's only 5 years old) so of course I had to take him back! He got another cupcake (vanilla) and he said it was perfect! It wasn't as sweet as the last one and he liked it much better! I want to start off by mentioning how adorable this shop is! They have a beautiful patio with umbrellas and flowers, bubbles blowing in the summer and their interior is really cute as well! They have the best packaging I've ever seen- it looks a little cottage with windows which would make for the perfect gift on someone's birthday. The employees were friendly and we really enjoyed the effort they put into little details. We ordered the lemon cupcake as well the Oreo one. Something we did notice that set them aside from other bakeries is that they add filling to their cupcakes. The lemon cupcake was nothing special in my opinion and the frosting in the Oreo cupcake was a tad too sweet. I came late in the day, and they were completely out of regular size cupcakes. I ended up ordering a buttercream stuffed cookie, which was delicious. The cookie was about the size of a Panera cookie, with some dollops of buttercream on top. The cookie was then filled with buttercream- but it seemed to have been filled/stuffed with buttercream prior to baking. Thus it wasn't a very fluffy/tall cookie- more the average height of a cookie. I had noticed that this little store (located where "The Wired Puppy" coffee shop used to be) was going to be opening soon, then I stumbled by it on it the morning of their grand opening! I had been having a really rough morning and was instantly cheered up by the entrance with lots of pretty balloons, then I noticed a sign advertising "free coffee" that day. That clinched it for me so I went inside. The atmosphere is bright and cheery and the women who were working and shopping were all so friendly. The cupcakes are beautiful and there's an array of novelty candies and cute brightly colored stuffed toys on shelves. I decided to buy a couple of full-sized cupcakes (they come in full and mini sizes). I decided on the strawberry and vanilla, and they put them in a super cute box. If I was still a little kid I probably would have saved the box and made a little house out of it for my Fisher-Price little people. Anyway, the cupcakes ended up getting cut four ways and I shared them with a few co-workers that afternoon. The cake part is nice and moist and not sweet, and the frosting is sweet but not overpowering. Everyone thought they were great and made me glad that I bought & shared them. I was given a loyalty punch card, not that I need incentive to go back again. If you ever need a sweet treat (and a coffee to go with it) THIS is the place in the neighborhood.
